Probably the best crêpe you’re going to get in san mateo, but like the sign says, you’ll have to wait. Although i still prefer genki crepes on clement, this is my dessert creperie of choice on the peninsula! The owners here are seriously the sweetest ever — pun intended!

I hate to leave a bad review because I love the crepes here, but the owner is very VERY rude. At least I think he is the owner(or at least in some management position). Last time I came here he was rude/stand-offish with not only us, but everyone else that came in after us. Lots of people started to come in because it was lunch time and the way he was treating all the customers was very disrespectful, and came off very snarky and unappreciative of our business. Why are you grumpy that it’s busy? You should be happy that people like your restaurant. Although they have good crepes, I have had better elsewhere with better service. I don’t feel very inclined to come back…

I have yet to taste the food here, I am still waiting on my crepes that my husband and I ordered 50 mins ago. The wait is terrible, I don’t think people should wait this long for a simple crêpe. I am definitely not coming back, it is not worth the wait. zero stars.

I’m really sad to leave this review of this place. The crepes are the BOMB! But the service has consistently been TERRIBLE and I am pretty sure we won’t be back– at least for a long while. The owner is seriously rude(I think it is the owner). This is probably the fifth time that I have been back and I have brought many friends with me and yet they still don’t give me good service. I feel embarrassed now when I take my friends here because they even comment on the bad service. The water tastes so bad! One time I found a hair in my food which totally grossed me out. And honestly I wouldn’t even care if the service was good. But they don’t treat their customers well. Also when you sit outside sometimes they forget about you. One time we waited 30mins and they didn’t even take our order. We ended up getting up and eating somewhere else.

I came here on a sunny Saturday afternoon and immediately got an outside seating. We got our food ordered, but on this day, they were short-staffed so we waited around 20 min for our food. The workers were kind and came over to apologize about the wait and informed us of their abnormal situation. When we got our food, our crepes were stuffed with ingredients. It was bigger than I had imagined. My bf got a chicken Apple sausage and egg crêpe while I got a custom ham, Swiss, avocado, spinach, pineapple, and spicy mayo crêpe. Both were really good. We finished off with a strawberry Nutella crêpe. So delicious. I would definitely come back here again!

We come to this place pretty much every weekend. All my friends also became fans. Great food, great owners, really nice outdoor seating area if you feel like it

Thai Iced Tea here was good. Savory crepes that we tried were spot on. The outdoor seating is nice but I would say the only thing keeping me from giving 5-stars is that it’s hard to actually get the staff’s attention when you’re sitting out there. It’s never too hectic here so if you’re looking for a simple, quiet place to have a nice brunch/lunch with friends or family I’d recommend it. Neighborhood gem!

The crêpe was good even though the wait was epic. We came with a big group of 11 people though. The portion was also small for the price.

I came here with a group of 11 after a hike at Purisima Creek, and this place is really small. We split up into three groups and took two inside tables and the counter. I got #8, which had mushrooms, mozzarella, spinach, onions, pesto, and I think one more vegetable that I forgot. They need to sautee the vegetables before putting them into the crêpe; the onions weren’t cooked, and the mushrooms were barely cooked. Overall had very little flavor. The crêpe itself was pretty crispy on the outside, and the side salad was pretty good as well. I was really disappointed by the inside of the crêpe though. It was also a bit on the small side; at $ 9.75 pre-tax, I felt like I just ate a snack, not a real meal. Unsatisfying experience, won’t be back.

I’m not sure exactly how to review this place but here goes: PROS 1. Crepes are very good-sized. 2. All of the veggie ones I have gotten have been excellent. Fresh produce. I particularly like #8. 3. You can also custom create your own. 4. Sides of fruit are fresh and ripe. 4’t. Great service. CONS 1. I got a ham and cheese crêpe and the ham was the processed sandwich stuff, which turned me off. 2. Their COFFEE!!! Please please please switch out from the 1980s era coffee pot that sits on a burner. About 75% of the time the coffee is burnt and bitter and I need to ask for a fresh pot. It’s time to get the thermos type of coffee receptacle. The bitter/burnt coffee is a major turn-off for me(maybe not someone else). I feel funny asking for a fresh pot so often, so it is limiting my visiting this place. It just occurred to me I could get coffee next door at Starbucks…

Rude owner. The guy corrected me three times on how I should pronounce the word«crêpe». Hello, I came for food, not for a language lesson. How about being courteous to your customer and giving me a break? Just serve the food, for God’s sake, the only thing you are selling there are crêpes… Not like you truly need to understand what I am ordering. The waiters were nice, but because of the owner I am not coming back…

Great little creperie tucked into a local shopping plaza. Totally unassuming place but the owners and service staff are incredibly friendly and take their work seriously. You can tell by the way they plate their crepes so neatly, with salad and all — that they take pride in their product. Ordered a custom crêpe and it came out hot, cheesy and delicious. The place is pretty cozy and doesn’t have a lot of inside seating but there are additional tables outside. Great little place!

I finally in this neighborhood and got to try Lily’s Creperie. Glad I stopped in!!! I ordered the apple pie crêpe, it tastes as good as it sounds!!! They serve it with homemade whipped cream, YUM!!! There were three tables inside, so pretty small place, and it was quite warm inside. There is also tables outside, but it is much cooler outside. Service was friendly, prices are pretty reasonable, and parking was easy! I can’t wait to try another!

Small and cozy. Parking is no problem. I liked the fact that I could make my own crêpe. My savory crêpe was yummy? I just asked for an extra side of pesto. It comes with a green mix of greens. My daughter had the apple pie crêpe with gelato and she finished it. Will definitely go back!

This crêpe place is interesting. The interior is actually really small but I think they own the seating outside as well. The customer service is well interesting. Sometimes they seem a bit too eager and multiple people attend to you when someone already did. The crepes themselves are very large. I can tell it was made fresh. I thought the flavors were okay. Nothing super tasty. I was also a bit disappointed by the side salad. There was very little salad dressing, so it was like eating leaves. I did however like the gelato they have. It’s super creamy and I would definitely come back for that. Unfortunately it’s another brand so it’s not made in house.

This was a cute little creperie that I took my daughter to for her sixth birthday lunch. She ordered the ham and mozzarella crêpe, and I had the #9 crêpe with buckwheat batter. We shared a mixed fruit dessert crêpe. All the crepes were delicious. However, I would have liked to see higher quality ham in my daughter’s crêpe. It was very basic lunchmeat. For my crêpe, I liked that there wasn’t a ton of goat cheese(although I do believe there is no such thing as «too much goat cheese»). I find dining establishments often rely on copious amounts of cheese to «elevate» their dishes, but the #9 was well-balanced with its various toppings. My daughter’s ham and cheese crêpe was also not dripping cheese, which was appreciated. The accompaniments were on the small side, which is fine since the crepes are good-sized. My side salad was a tad underdressed, which I would have been able to fix with some salt and pepper, but there was none on the table. There was also no sweeteners on the table, so every time my iced tea was refilled, I would need to ask for more sweetener. There was outdoor and indoor seating and the place was very compact. This did not detract from the overall feel, but would probably be a problem if you were here with a larger group.

Always go here for brunch every sunday with my friend and never ever got disappointed with their creepes. My favorite is #7 salmon with creamcheese and of course the espresso milkshake. Espresso milk shake is always on my order and my favorite here i recommend it to try. Their servcie is good but the place is small for there is a lot of people goes here.

BADSERVICE: We walked in got handed menus and they told us to sit anywhere. After 5 minutes in our chosen spot they told us we had to move(not a question). A bit later a man came and they allowed him to sit in our previous spot. Then our waitress handed us place settings w/o even looking at us. I asked to talk to the manager and after waiting 7 minutes to speak to her she was making excuses and not even a bit apologetic. While pulling out of the parking lot we could see the workers AND owner talking about us to other customers. This was not my first bad experience here but it was the first time I confronted the problem.

Wonderfully fresh crepes, and they have a great selection(including gluten free crepes). The green power smoothie is simply delightful.

Nice cosy little café. Freshly made and extremely delicious crepes. We got one savory crêpe and shared the Nutella and banana crêpe for desert. Family owned joint and staff is extremely friendly. Owner came and gave us a free mango gelato which was better than any we have had around the world. Fruit and vegetables are from the local farmers market and extremely fresh. Would highly recommend for breakfast or lunch.

Wow what a joke. Someone needs to teach their staff about customer service and how to handle stress during rush hours. Or perhaps the whole operation just doesn’t care if you as a customer were being treated disrespectfully since no one seems to mind that there’s so many negative ratings on here relating to mediocre customer service. The only saving grace this place has despite their horrible attitude toward their customer is that people are putting up with them because there’s not much lunch options to choose. The crêpe being produced here is regular and ordinary. There’s not much to write home about in terms of the quality of the food at Lily’s but if you’re one looking for place with the«You better be grateful we’re allowing you to eat our food, now give me your money and shut» attitude then this place is the one for ya! Stay away from this establishment if you don’t want to be treated like a beggar, begging them to take your order because the wait staff is way too busy and would say off color things to you when you approach the ordering counter. I’m writing this here so people are sufficiently warned. Unless you don’t care then by all means… I for one will not return. No thanks.
