Really good sandwiches, and I love their signature pickled cabbage side. I ordered a simple sandwich for my first time(roast beef), but they understand that simple does not mean inattention. The horseradish sauce had some tang to it, and the tomatoes were not so large that they slide out or around. Fast, friendly service, clean and bright seating(outdoor seating too, but it was really bright today).

LITERALLY, the BEST chicken caesar salad I ever had! :P Most places skimp on the dressing and chicken, this place gives the perfect amount of everything ! I asked for extra dressing when I called in my order, but it turned out I didn’t even need it:)

Great Place to have lunch! They have a German Herb Mayo which is amazing! I have sent a lot of friends here and everyone loves it. If anyone is in the area come hungry and leave happy! They also got rated best grilled cheese of the bay area by Unilocal

I never thought a salad could go so wrong. I got the salad with the apples and blue cheese. As soon as they put it in front of me, I did not want it. The dressing covered every single inch of the lettuce and was WAY to strong. I could barely eat the salad, but made a valid effort thinking maybe I was being too picky. After about 10 bites in I gave up and left. The staff was friendly, but that was about it.

Love this local spot, super awesomeness. Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed it before. Originally was looking for a close to home coffee place open by 6:30am, and this one popped up. So good! and the customer service is right on. Been back so many times to try Sammies, juices, or just hang with the locals. It’s my kind of place.

I was looking for a place that could provide sandwiches for a group of about 10, and came across this shop while doing errands — I’m so glad I stopped in! I wanted a variety of sandwiches for medical workers who were having a busy surgery day, they get so busy I wanted something they could grab and eat on the go, but tastes good and is nutritious. The owner was very helpful and was willing to wrap half sandwiches and label each of them which made all the difference. I picked the sandwiches and a few wraps up the day after ordering, they were just freshly made and ready. I’ve had sandwiches done for staff meetings and parties in the past, this is now my place to go. Definitely good for groups of people on a busy work day! The sandwiches were a big hit. Not your everyday plain sandwiches. There are also veggie/vegan options.

Nice clean place to come for a quick bite and fresh juice. The shop is airy and open and friendly and clean. FYI their juices with citrus fruits are made with the peel! I keep forgetting: T Their Apple Orchard is quite delicious, however :)

Their breakfast egg sandwiches are cooked in a microwave and are rubbery and lack any taste at all. Their other sandwiches are lack luster and boring. I prefer Jersey Mike’s and The Ravioli House in San Mateo for their generous and tasty sandwiches.

Hello! Not sure his name, its the guy owner. But, he is always very kind and willing to engage in conversation. The juices are really yummy and pretty large! I tried the brie, strawberry, chocolate cheese sandwich, which was more like a desert, so might want to share it with somebody. Anyways, it’s a pretty laid back and chill place. I will go back for the fresh juices!

This is a great neighborhood joint. The food is great, the coffee is tasty, and the owners are very personable. This is my favorite Spot on 25th Avenue!(See…they are aptly named!)

I wanted something light, healthy and quick, and this was just the place. Their salad was nothing fancy, however it was delicious. I ordered their green juice which was also great. Place is clean and spacious. Healthy places to eat are not many in San Mateo, so I will definitely come back here for a healthy ‘fix’ :)

I had a great early bird experience here this morning! Stopped in around 8:30am for a juice to start my day. I was greeted upon coming in. Spot was very clean and had ample seating. I ordered«Greenergy» and got a free homemade cookie upon checking in on Unilocal(score!). The guy working the cash register was super friendly and thanked me for checking in which was a nice gesture. I got the juice to go and took a seat while I waited. The guy was so nice to not call out my order(although it wasn’t very busy) and brought me the juice and thanked me for coming in. Totally better than any chain juice bar/smoothie experience I’ve ever had. I made sure to take a to go menu. Seems to be a healthy breakfast and lunch place so I will definitely be coming back to eat sometime in the future. I also like that you can start a «pick up» order on Unilocal or get your order delivered via Door Dash! Top notch customer service really makes all the difference sometimes.

Well I had my certificate in hand and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Its a nice place, looks hip, temperature nice, décor nice, lots of seating, great ambiance and décor, looks really nice, off too a good start. The customer service here started great. I ordered roast beef and my friend ordered the special cheese sandwich of the day, I also ordered myself a portobello mushroom soup and a coffee. The coffee was amazing. You get too choose from three different ones and I chose the pure Hawaii. what a great roast!!! It was really good. The lighting was perfect . My friend suggested sitting outside, yes they have outdoor and indoor seating available and plenty of it. I passed soo many seating and soo different ones. I loved the couch area with the Simpsons doughnut pillows ha ha those are pretty cool. As I got my food delivered to me I was amazed by more excellent customer service, and then poof just like that I was amazed by the amazing food holy moly . Yes expect me too be a return customer. You can bet on that. The roast beef was soo delicious sweet and yummy. The soup was soo good, I ate it slow to savor the deliciousness. The meal came with this red cabbage salad that was like no other I’ve tried before . I was blow away and amazed. My taste buds are definitely telling me «COme back to this place, come back to this place pleeeeease». One of the guys here Informed me of this chili he’s gonna put on the menu and then he let me and my friend try it. Along with the other things I suggest you also try the chili. Its 5 bucks of sweet sweet heaven. Its very chunky, perfectly spiced so for 5 bucks your getting a great deal. The prices are pretty good, especially since y’know everything is made from scratch here too the up most perfection. This is award winning food here.

Ordered an egg white, ham, pesto, and cheddar breakfast sandwich on wheat. The sandwich was good but I wouldn’t say great. The pros? Very flavorful and my diet coke and sandwich were under $ 6. The servers were also really upbeat. The cons? They forgot my pesto and the contents of the sandwich didn’t fill out the bread. I would give them another try but I can’t imagine seeking them out like I did today.

Crazy good. Simply satisfying. Loved the green turkey. It is the perfect blend of flavors and was big enough for my mom and I to split and each get a soup. Soups were great too — tomato-basil has a sweet undercurrent; chicken and red potato– creamy, lots of chicken with perfect potatoes. The sandwiches come with a purple slaw — don’t fear it. Embrace it! It’s awesome. The food is incredibly fresh — bread baked daily, veggies picked up that morning, spreads made on site. Major upgrade from a chain!

This spot is my favorite breakfast café. They have gluten free bread, and are happy to go all out customizing your breakfast sandwiches(no cheese, extra eggs, add avocado, etc). I like to come here after the gym and order large sandwiches.

Sandy one of the owner of this place is rude and absolutely unkind. I ordered the California vegetarian sandwich and it didn’t have any flavor. I’m vegan/vegetarian and I can tell when food is healthy yet unflavored.

I came early to an appointment and was feeling like i wanted a pick me up. This spot has been open since jan of 2014– and it is a great healthy gem of a place. The owner Shane picks up produce for the salads every morning. Ao they are fresh. The chesses and meats are freahly sliced when you order so they are amazing The juice bar is raw and wholesome and healthy. I asked for a recommendation to help my inmune system. And he told me the citrus c is good but strong It was awesome– pucker up your face sour and i could tell it was good for me. I told him it was strong as i was walking out the door and he offers me some water. I said yes please. He pulls out a fresh bottle of water. I was expecting a cup of tap– but this shows customer service nd class. Vegan vegetarian and raw options with excellent customer service? Yes this is definitely the spot!!!

Looks like The Spot on 25th found it’s stride. The cashier was super nice, had answers to any questions, and was able to quickly input our orders. My sandwich was impressive in both quality and size. Signature Green Turkey Sando. Added sprouts and bacon. Easily a 8.5÷10 on flavor. You can get a similar quality sandwich at Mollie Stones for $ 7 but for just $ 2 – 3 more you get to support a local business. Also of note: my co-workers have mentioned on multiple occasions that their salads are incredible.

It does the job but really it’s an average«spot» –NOT to be confused with the Sandwich Spot(exemplary awesomeness). The Spot wins due to local convenience for lunch during work hours. They are an eclectic café inside which is cool to hang out in. The Daily Post is usually lying around. That soft, vinyl, side chair begs for the company of a periodical if you’re going to sit in it. I’ve had multiple salads here which are nothing more than oil drizzled with serious lemon based dressing over fresh greens. I had their verde chile soup special one day which was decent if you like Campell’s soup. The winner here was the Carrot Juice Boost. Fresh juices are hard to mess up right? It’s a healthy refreshment which is nice to have nearby. I tried the tuna salad sandwich for the first time yesterday for $ 7.95. The tuna is simply mixed with mayonnaise. Don’t let the avocado, alfalfa sprouts or cucumber fool you into thinking it’s gourmet. That simpleton nonsense between wheat bread is nothing more than thrown together. Salt won’t even help the blandness. At least the ingredients were fresh. I’ll drive extra miles from the office to get a decent sandwich. Cobani Gyro just opened several doors down. You can get a tasty salmon salad for about the same price. That tuna sandwich was amazingly disappointing for that price. Pop in for some juice. Maybe, their breakfast is better. I won’t bother with any of their salads or sandwiches ever again though.
