After hearing so much about Pizza My Heart and I happened to walk by one, I decided to stop in to try some of their infamous pizza. They sell pizza by the slice or whole pies. We ordered a few slices because our previous meal wasn’t filling enough. We got the Big Sur and the Chicken and Bacon. Both were delicious. They reheat the slices for you when you order. Also, they have all slices on their menu available even if you don’t see it in the window. They have more slices sitting in the back. The Big Sur was my favorite of the two. Just watch out because it has larges pieces of garlic. I wouldn’t pick this to eat on your first date. Per slice you’re looking at $ 4 – 4.5. More on pricey side if you ask me. Ambiance is very family friendly, casual and has a diner feel to it. They have specials during the week, so look out for those! They also sell clothing and other merchandise.

Going to Draeger’s Market, parked in front of Pizza My Heart. On the way back to the car my husband wanted a slice of pizza. We were greeted by a young man and ordered our to go slices. Pizza was good! 5 Stars goes to the 2 young men at the counter. They were kind courteous and efficient! It made me feel good to walk into a place like this with employees that treat you the way it is suppose to be! The owner is fortunate to have this staff !! They deserve raises!

Ordered delivery thru GrubHub. ordered at 1:30, pizza arrived around 2:00pm. FAST! I ordered their gluten free pizza and it was delicious. Salads are fresh and a large portion. Delivery driver was friendly. Will order again!

My Family is a pizza lover and we always go to the Burlingame branch of PMH but this time we planned a different location. It was our first time at the 4th ave branch. We ordered what we thought was OK when we arrived. First, workers have LONG hair, no hair net or anything to protect the food from hair or dirt, not to mention 3 of the workers have long afro style hair, and as a Hotel And Restaurant Major, i believe in the cleanliness of a restaurant/fast food chain, hence, this fails bigtime. Second, the cashier wasn’t accommodating, thus unwelcoming Third, The pizza served was burn and cold to think they re-heated before they served. Fourth, Their trashcan/recycle was overflowing, they had lots of workers just giggling and story-telling instead of clearing the table of other customers or cleaning the garbage to make room for the next trash. Nasty display of overflown garbage Fifth, the atmosphere was kinda dark The Burlingame branch was livelier, more upbeat crew and more crowd too.

Great place to order high quality party pizzas. Came here to pick up about 5 – 6 pizzas, was very happy with the quality and taste of it all. The individual slices are fairly expensive. But always a trusty & good slice of pizza, and way better than Sbarro or the mass delivery chains.

If you’re in the city and you like New York style pizza, it’s worth a train ride to go to Pizza My Heart and check out downtown San Mateo. Thank you — the pesto pizza is nearly unchanged from 25+ years ago on Clement Street in San Francisco. the crust is thin and delicious, the pesto full of that familiar hearty, unique almond flavor. The marinara is on the sweet side, but I would definitely get this pizza again. It really brought back memories — well – prepared and something to look foward to. Thanks for keeping up your great quality and unique style, Pizza My Heart!

This was strictly for Delivery. A couple of my friends came over and since we were craving pizza, we called PIZZAMYHEART. First time for this location(been to the Santa Cruz loc a few years back, it was good!). Tonight we ordered a large. ½ BIGSUR, and a ½ Margarita pizza. It was totally FANTASTIC!!! Toppings were crazy flavorful & the crust was perfect. P E R F E C T! Delivery was spot on… they said 45 minutes, and 42 minutes it was! Definitely ordering from them again. Blue Line was my favorite, I think Pizza My Heart just squeaked by them. Absolutely 5 stars!!!

If you’ve got a kid, and you like beer by the pitcher at a decent price, this is a good spot. Come here often on Friday evenings to share a pizza and a pitcher of beer with my wife and toddler(obviously the toddler does not have the beer. She is there for the pizza). They have several real beers on draft by the pitcher, usually including a Lagunitas IPA. Usually in the low teens for the beer.

I have wanted to tryout this place… the pizza looks good… so I went in and asked for 2 slices with extra cheese and was told that I couldn’t get extra cheese because of cross contamination… I’ve been a chef for 12 plus years… so I asked him«how is adding cheese cross contamination?» He couldn’t answer so a manager answered«because the meat touches the cheese and the employees hands touch everything»…but the place looks great and the employees were super friendly… I just like my pizza with extra cheese… maybe ill try again

Not bad Generally an OK pizza joint. The inside is decorated very well, with plush new seats and a lot of decorations hanging all over the walls. The pizza was not bad – served warm and right off the oven, with decent bits of toppings and cheese. The folks who work there are also pretty nice. Generally decent folks. Worth stopping by if you’re craving some pizza.

I’m not as much as a pizza fan as my husband is, but Pizza My Heart did not dissapoint. My husband and I each ordered a slice of the chicken and bacon pizza. The staff suggested that we wait for a new batch since he only had one slice left. The wait was pretty much worth it as the pizza came out fresh and the crust surprisingly buttery. I also liked they had mushrooms on the pizza for extra nutrients. I probably missed it upon reading the menu as I was super hungry at the time. We also got a chicken salad which comes with dressing for a more balanced meal. Lots of booths and seating with chill, surfer décor. They also have clean bathrooms and great service.

Friends and I came here for our Downtown Pizza Chow Down to check out all the downtown pizza places in San Mateo. This was our last stop and was rated second best. We ordered pizza by the slice. They have some great and off-the-wall options, but I just went with pepperoni. It was super greasy, but that doesn’t bother me too much. Overall, good cheese, toppings and crust, just not the best. Our group rated it a 8 overall. It is a good place to get a slice, especially if you’re into their less common offerings.

Good decent pizza, especially for the slice. Had the mushroom pizza slice and special bacon with alfredo sauce. Both were good. The crust was a typical NY style, and the tomato sauce was OK with slight grease to the slice/cheese. Good quick place to grab some dinner.

I met a friend and her family up here last summer and it was… well, what I expected. I’ll say this, great place for kids. The parking is horrible, and the food was mediocre. But if your kids love pizza, this can be a fun place for them. We went on a Friday/Saturday night(can’t remember) and they had a juggling clown. Super entertaining for the kids. And it was nice to have the adults be able to just sit there and talk. Personally I would never go back again and if someone should suggest where we should meet up in this area, this would NOT be on my list.

The first time I had Pizza My Heart was in Capitola and it was love at first bite I usually just stick with the cheese pizza cuz I’m a simple gal but all the other pizzas look delicious as well. First time at the SM location but I’ve been to quite a few and they all are generally the same. Love the light/thin crust and I appreciate that they don’t overdo the sauce and toppings. I don’t feel overly stuffed or too guilty after indulging, but always leave happy.

What I ate: Pepperoni pizza Visit date: January 17, 2014 First time? Yes. This was my first time trying any Pizza My Heart location. I left the ordering to the pros(the friends I was with). We shared a post dinner snack(yea, we do that sometimes) — one medium pepperoni pizza. Delicious! The pepperoni are so cute; quarter size at most and were little cups of grease. I know that sounds gross, but trust, this was one of the best pepperoni pizzas I’ve had. The pepperoni were salty, crispy on the rim, and juicy(ok, greasy). The crust thin and crispy. We ordered a made to order pizza but if you’re hangry you can order a slice of the ready made variety.
