OHMYGAD! I work in the area sometimes and I saw that MoGo was blasting off on twitter where they were going to be at. I didn’t know other trucks were going to be there too! I dig it here, it was really neat that all the other professionals were out and really chill. As weird as it is to be in the middle of a company’s parking lot — this is the event to go to!

Not a lot of choices. Not the variety of food I would want to eat. Expensive.

The variety of trucks is nowhere near OTG so with that being said, I really think Moveable Feast is such a great idea for people in the Peninsula who want to experience a food truck collaboration while enjoying BEAUTIFUL views of Foster City waterfront. The trucks that were there included Mogo’s, Sam Chowdermobile, Frozen Kuhsterd, Angelica’s Taqueria and a couple more(maybe 3 more!) but I forgot! The lines weren’t too long, but the space was really limited, so it was nice to have the extra space near the water just behind the trucks. There’s seating available and a DJ, which is cool if you want to stay in the area instead of sitting next to the water. Definitely a must visit if you’re in the area on a Wednesday night!

Look forward to the food trucks on Wednesday. Great selection, wonderful people, fun atmosphere, and awesome food. Wish The Slider Shack was there every week, it’s my favorite!

It’s really nice to have a good variety of lunch options on a work day. It’s even better to have all of those options stationary in a parking lot just minutes away from where you work. I love these outdoor public food markets that are pretty much all over the Bay Area(Moveable Feast, Off the Grid, Night Market down in San Jose). They’re fun, convenient, and are awesome spots to be social and eat great food. This particular location definitely caters to the corporate and business lunch crowd with about 5 – 6 trucks every Thursday for lunch until 2pm. Luckily, my coworkers and I beat most of the lunch rush today by arriving there a bit past 1. I’ve driven past during the 12 o’ clock lunch hour and this Moveable Feast location is – like many reviews before me have said – totally packed during that time. It’s definitely one of those places where you think about grabbing lunch there and then once you see how packed it is, you automatically think«YEAH, NOPE. TACOBELLLOOKSPRETTYGOODRIGHTNOW.» The buckets aren’t the most comfortable thing to sit on, but it’s kind of expected. There are quite a few great spots to grab lunch in the San Mateo/Foster City area, but they’re all pretty spread out over the general area. If you want a variety of lunch options to choose from in close proximity to each other(that isn’t in Downtown San Mateo because it is a *nightmare* to find parking there during lunch), then Moveable Feast is your best bet… as long as you can beat the lunch rush or wait until it dies down a bit. …Or you can be a brave soul and endure the crowds. God speed if you do.

I’m a HUGE fan of Moveable Feast. For some reason, food truck events in the San Mateo/Foster City area have been far & few but finally someone recognized the need & desire for food trucks in this area! Very similar to OTG set ups(a bunch of food trucks, red buckets for seating, music playing) it’s a fun atmosphere and a welcomed change of pace for lunching let me tell you! To address previous Unilocalers complaints: 1. Yes– lines take a long time. It’s not a fricken restaurant, they all work in a small kitchen with only 1 or 2 Cooks! & When it’s crowded & during peak lunch time, duh it’s not going to be fast food. Go early to avoid it! 2. They don’t always have a ton of trucks, but honestly 3 – 4 trucks is better than going to a restaurant in this area & a nice change of pace regardless. Moveable Feast sends out a weekly email with the truck line up, you can subscribe & if you don’t like the truck selections then you can make different lunch choices! Moveable Feast — you do you & please don’t change!

Moveable Feast Foster City is every Wednesday from 5PM — 9PM. There were about 8 trucks there last week when I went. I would definitely recommend going there early because the lines get really really crowded at 7PM. I love how Moveable Feast creates makeshift tables and chairs from buckets. Everything is well organized and they even have live music to listen to while you enjoy your food truck food. Everyone should definitely check it out if you are in the area. Also, parking is limited to one lot so be there early! My favorite truck was MoBowl which we got 5 spice pulled pork with garlic noodles and brown rice, and garlic shrimp with french fries.

Moveable Feast… my buttocks. Moveable Starvation would be a better name. Lines of about an hour. Ridiculous. Good idea. Clearly people want it. But get more trucks. We do plan on helping the over crowded situation by not coming back.

Good variety of trucks; Sajj, Hill County BBQ, Adam Grub, wesushi, and three others. Lines are long, some ran out of food by 8:00. Good location unique in a way that there is Leo Ryan Park, lagoon and lawn. It can get cold when windy. Be prepared :)

Woo HOO! Food trucks in Foster City now. Every Wednesday from 5 – 9. 8 good trucks to choose from including desert. From Asian to Mexican to BBQ. I got there early so the lines weren’t that long but it got really packed. Pretty windy there too. Definitely bring a jacket!

Awesome treat we look forward to in San Mateo for our Thursday lunch options. The only downside is that the trucks get *swarmed* and lines are incredibly long. I don’t think the trucks are really staffed or equipped to deal with such a demand in a timely manner. So basically, plan on camping out for 30 – 40 mins just to get your food at noon on the dot. Also, several of the trucks seem to have shitty wifi that makes their connection to whatever card machines go down. No bueno. It would be great if this was fixed. If you want to avoid the rush, I’ve discovered that 11am or closer to closing(2pm) will save you a considerable amount of time in line — tho the later you go, the more they run out of things. Minor complaints aside, I far prefer the Moveable Feast offerings to on-campus food or most of the local places to grab a quick bite.

Good to have more variety for lunchtime eats I say. THe Moveable Feast folks are now doing a thursday lunch event where there’s not a whole ton of choices unless you go to the nearby strip mall. Caught Curry UP Now, S, othered, Sam’s Chowdermobile and Frozen Kuhsterd recently. The parking lot is quartered off, but there’s plenty of parking to be had and those handful of trucks to choose from. Not too crowded yet but I think there’s only been a handful of events. Hope they roate some good new variety into the fold.
