it is, what it is what it is however is hard to explain. fast food stand attched to Home Depot just doesn’t do it justice. 4 stars because the caption next to it says«Yay! I’m a fan» and yes, I indeed am a fan of this place. I usually stick with burritos and tacos when I swing by. the breakfast burrito is pretty legit if you remember the price, your location and whatever competition is in the area to choose from. the chorizo is pretty greasy and I usually avoid adding any meats to my breakfast here nemore.

Good food, good coffee and convenient location for us. They refused us service in the evening(two cups of cappuccinos) as they had a large order and wanted to close on time. I thought that was a bummer and borderline rude as well as unprofessional.

Ugh. not good at all. Got the coveted breakfast chorizo burrito on my way out of Home Depot… it was dry, the meat tasted almost burnt, and it was just not good at all. Where was the egg?! Service was also slow.

I’m an employee at the San Mateo Homedepot and honestly I have had nothing but issues with this location. I have bought lunch here on several occasions, The first went without a hitch and the last two I received horrible service and was overcharged. The female employee that took my order was rude and seemed very upset when i asked for my employee discount. Even the person I was with was in shock with her reaction. I was going to write it off as she was having a bad day so I came back a few weeks later and I got this guy at the register. He said no problem for the discount then turned around and charged me full price for it. I asked to see the receipt he said he can’t open the drawer. I came back when it wasn’t as busy and he said I don’t get a discount for the meal I chose. Right after he said he gave me the discount. I will never spend any of my hard earned cash again and will be calling their company owner and notifying them of their horrible staff at this location. On the other hand my husband and I at one point were remodeling our home, so we use to go to the one in San Carlos on weekends. While we were buying supplies we would grab a quick bite to eat. I’ve never had an issue with their service or their employees and I’ve eaten at that location several times.

(For the San Carlos location on Old County) «Who on earth in their right mind would buy food from a rinky-dink food truck thing in front of a home depot.» This has been my thinking my whole life and I have never eaten there for that reason. Then one Saturday in the early morn in a moment of weakness I decided to grab a quick bite so save me from having to go anywhere else. I was half asleep and really didn’t care what I had as long as it was edible. I grudgingly and skeptically ordered my super breakfast burrito with bacon and ham, praying in my mind I wasn’t ordering a weekend of food poisoning. I paid my $ 6 which actually raised my eyebrows in slight delight at how affordable and cheap it was, then I realized where I was ordering from and it made sense. The guy whipped it up, had it ready in 3 minutes, I grabbed it and drove off. While at the stoplight I unwrapped the off-the-skillet hot burrito and took a bite… HOLYFREAKINGCRAP. I pulled over and immersed myself into the perfect insatiable combination of meat, cheese, salsa, potatoes/hashbrowns I ever had. I devoured half of it before taking a moment to even breathe. I immediately turned the car around to confront the grill-master to applaud the work he had done. I literally have never in my life ever had a breakfast burrito that was so complete, so filling, so delicious and perfect in my life. I go there for breakfast almost every morning now. I can’t wait to try other stuff on the menu. Folks, this place is the best kept restaurant secret in San Carlos. And for the price… well that is just icing on the cake. You won’t find a better breakfast burrito for any price, let alone one in that price range. Please folks, give this place a try.

This review is for their San Carlos location. Based on the photos and reviews for their San Mateo location, also in front of Home Depot, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. Greasy to the max, even the bun, tiny bits of bacon and onion(not slices as the photo represents) and totally inedible. A waste of over $ 7.00.

Ready made breakfast burritos for $ 5 at a food stand in front of Home Depot. Right on! Choice of meat in the breakfast burrito: chorizo, ham, bacon or sausage. I wish the salsa wasn’t so spicy and that they were wrapped in foil instead of saran wrap, but why complain about something so tasty, cheap, and filling?

home depot visits. constantly upgrading and fixing home… stopping at kelly’s deli for lunch… a philly cheesesteak $six.fifty total… five minutes of wait… hot off the griddle… small sandwich. little meat or cheese… bland and in need of some salt & pepper… probably breakfast better…

If you’re talking about food, this place is pretty good. I’ve had a variety of burritos, quesadillas, and tortas, and they are pretty tasty. The chicken is superior to the steak for the non-breakfast stuff, and all the breakfast fillings are pretty tasty. Their breakfast burrito really is quite good! But I can only go with 2 stars due to some poor customer service. I had an issue when being charged for a quesadilla. The board says 4.95, but I was charged 5.95. I asked the attendant what was up with the price difference, and he said«That is the price in the register». I didn’t disagree with him, but I asked why the sign was different. He just kept repeating«That is what the register says». I understood that, but I just wanted him to act decent, and look at the sign, instead of repeating the same thing over and over. He thought maybe it was taxes, but I told him that taxes in San Mateo aren’t 20%(even if they do feel high). He then abruptly said«What do you want me to do then?», and I no longer wanted to waste my time. There was no way to contact the manager. I left my phone number, but nobody called(unsurprisingly). I won’t be returning here, which is disappointing, because I did like the food.

Decided to try this place since I always see a lot of people there during lunch time. Looks like a food truck but its permanently part of HD. Was a little hard to find parking being that it was lunch time and there were a lot of construction/contractors parking or double parked. They have a good menu choice, breakfast, sandwiches, hot dogs, Mexican food(burrito, tacos, quesadilla), etc. I tried the steak super burrito. For $ 5.71 including tax I say not bad! It has a pretty good taste, really big in size and the only down side was the lack of a HOT salsa. The guy at the counter was nice. Seating is limited to 2 benches so I wouldn’t recommend eating there. I would consider this an option to Chipotle since there is usually a very long line there. Hope to try breakfast sometime and will post a review on that.

Their steak sandwich tasted like it was made out of ham. I was not impressed.

Breakfast a Home Depot? Just say yes! We went here after reading other Unilocal reviews and I am so glad that we did. It was the best breakfast burrito I’ve had in years!

Went here after reading about it on Unilocal! Easy to find — right at Home Depot. Parking not too bad. Unlike previous reviews, I didn’t find the staff helpful or courteous. However, the reason I am a fan of the place is the food. I ordered a Quesadilla Combo with Chicken. I was told the combo came with chips and a drink. I got the drink — but no chips. However, I realize I didn’t even need them. The quesadilla is huge and SOTASTY! Awesome cheesy, slightly spicey, wonderful quesadilla. Will definately be back — service and incomplete orders aside.

I am no fan of Home Depot, I find it to usually be a pretty unpleasant experience and would rather get whatever I need elsewhere, but I am drawn to it by the deliciousness that is Kelly’s. There is no better breakfast burrito in my neck of the woods, maybe anywhere.

came over and wasnt sure what i wanted to eat. then decided to just pick up a burger and head back to work. Well the guy behind the counter was really polite and just was trying to see what else he could of helped me choose. Ended getting the jalapeño bacon cheeseburger. it was FANTASTIC… tastes were all there… just wished it was a little more spicy. got the combo got me some fries and a drink too. it was great and fast.

Kelly’s Deli is like a permanent food truck location outside of Home Depot. It’s a real location, with a real building, with no wheels, but a hodgepodge of food options like a food truck. After reading some reviews on Unilocal,I decided to order the only item that was consistently mentioned: the breakfast burrito. With my expectations minimal, the burrito was actually surprisingly decent. The tortilla was grilled and filled with shredded hash browns, eggs, hot sauce, cheese, sour cream and my choice of meat — chorizo. It was very flavorful and satisfying. I also tasted the same burrito with turkey, which had a minimal flavor impact. Chorizo is definitely the way to go. Best thing of all? It was under $ 5! For seating, there is only 1 picnic table for 6 people but hardly anyone actually sat to eat that I noticed. Other items included basic American and Mexican fare. For the breakfast burrito and for what it is, it’s 4 stars in my book. Can’t rate this place alongside a typical restaurant…

5 stars: «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» This about sums up my breakfast burrito experience at Kelly’s. Crispy potatoes, delicious(and pretty spicy, may I add) chorizo — absolute winner.

Yummy breakfast burrito — I was told that the chorizo is the best meat for it. It’s huge, freshly cooked, with pan-fried potatoes, egg, meat, sour cream and cheese. All of this just for around $ 5. It’s a steal. The location is kind of weird though — it’s right in front of Home Depot in Foster City, so you really gotta know that you want it before you swing by it. Update: I had the chorizo and the sausage and am liking the chorizo better. Not saying that the sausage isn’t though =p A couple of my friends got turkey and could barely taste it. If you’re already getting a delicious greasy burrito with egg and cheese in it, don’t skimp on the meat! =p
