I’ve been going to the Tacos Peralta truck for years. A perfect pairing with beer of course, and BevMo is right across the street. I always get the chicken tacos and they are fantastic.

Smart… Making it located across from BevMo. A little snack before drinking. Pretty good tacos but not the best as I get some good places in San Diego. It’s pretty good and cheap for a taco truck. We ordered the meat quesadilla and 3 carne asada tacos. It could be better if it didn’t have a bunch of weird chewy meat pieces… Flavors were decent.

I would give rave reviews, except that I am visiting from Washington state, and the person cooking wouldn’t make a burrito, this evening, because clearly they were not in the mood. even though they had all the ingredients. The service consequently sucked, and I could have made ten quesadillas at home for what they charged. Not the place to go for consistent good service, and cheap food.

This place used to be really inexpensive and was a better value than going to a taqueria. Now their regular burritos cost $ 7-$ 9. Still tasty but no longer a value. Gentrification.

We love this taco truck. We actually just rented them for a birthday party and they’re amazing. Everything from the initial contact to everything that followed. They are efficient and so nice and professional. Everyone enjoyed the food, as always. Tacos Peralta is great.

Out doing errands in SM when tacos sounded good. Was gonna hit the Taco Bell, but now it’s become Apple Fritter, what?! So I checked Unilocal for a nearby recommendation. Zipped on over to try 2 tacos, the regular and the super. Regular is standard taco fare, meat, onions spices and cilantro, while the super adds lettuce, cheese, tomato, sour cream. Hit the spot for under 5 bucks including tip. Taco Bell, never mind, I’ll be back to Tacos Peralta soon!

Decent tacos and burritos for the price… for the OLD lower price. Now that they have increased their price, it’s not worth it. Previously, their price range was that of Taco Bell and they were winning. Now, their new price range is that of Chipotle and they are losing. They are no where near as good and hygienic as Chipotle.

BEST tacos in the Bay Area. The people are nice too. I usually order about 5 or 6 tacos and at other places I might consider that excessive, but these tacos are so good I could eat a million. Their meats are SO juicy, I recommend the asada, pastor & chorizo. If you want REAL&AUTHENTIC tacos, go here. Skip the burrito unless you order double the meat. The tacos are where it’s at though.

I have been coming here for a while to get really good tacos. Service has always been cordial and tacos have been great. This Taco Place appears to be going downhill though. Last Thursday night I came by to get 3 tacos. The guy says $ 5.72. I tell him 3 tacos should not be 5.72(they raised prices to $ 1.35 but still 3×1.35+tax is not $ 5.72). He just looks at me and repeats $ 5.72. I guess I could have walked away but I decided I pay his $ 5.72 as I wanted to get the tacos. Got home and tried the tacos and they were terrible. Absolutely no taste of meat, pretty much taste of liquid and tortilla. Not sure what happened to this taco truck but I am going to need to find another taco place

This place used to be really good. Their food quality has plummeted. The steak flavor is not very good now, and it is very gristly, it’s disgusting.

Very happy I decided to check Unilocal while my girlfriend was at DSW. These tacos are absolutely delicious and at an incredibly good price. I don’t know why you wouldn’t stop by and get tacos here.

Yo! I contemplated giving these guys three or four stars… but come on… the ordering process is easy with a pleasant person. Wait was short. Receiving food was pleasant. Burrito was awesome. The sauce they use lingers and tastes so damned good. Food is fresh, light, not heavy… tasty. Personal touches all around. They have hit Every aspect of food set up with gusto and with that I bless them with cinco Estrella.

One if my friends from SF came to visit and catch up today, and what a nice thing she did was buy half dozen of tacos(all meats) and we ‘pigged out’, when she got to my place. This was my first time trying this taco truck from San Mateo, and I’ve got just one thing to say… FABULOUSLYGOOD!!! Love the corn tortillas and they sure don’t skimp on the meat. They were real juicy! I know its not Taco Tuesday, buy hey, I’m fine with that. LOL. Totally recommend. Great tasting & affordable.

Love this truck. I can only speak to the pollo, pastor and asada tacos. They are great with everything on them and hot sauce.

These tacos are SOOOJUICY!!! I liked Carne Asada better than Pastor. Def get those, and they’re only 1.25 each! Onions, cilantro, spicy, lime = one of the best tacos ever! Forget tacos el gordo… I’d rather come here and would definitely come back. Only negative is that there is no where to sit. We had to sit in our car haha. But it’s so good and inexpensive that I would still come back.

Tasty taco for 1.25 each! Now takes credit card. Loved their carnitas, pestor and many more. Pickled carrots and lemon were nice addition to the tacos. Wish they got the Mexican coke or fresh juice :) Will b back!

Look, let me just start by saying the food here is delicious. The SERVICE, though, is absolutely horrendous. I’ve been here twice now where I have had something wrong with my order. The first time, I had ordered a cabeza burrito and when I got my order, it was literally a huge chunk of fat with rice and beans. I asked them about it and they just looked at each other, said something in spanish, and laughed. They didn’t offer to give me a new burrito or replace it with something else. The second time, I ordered a lengua burrito. There were STAPLES in my burrito. STAPLES. Surely they were going to offer to fix the problem this time. LOLNOPE. They did the exact same thing. Looked at it, looked at each other, said something in spanish, and laughed. I really hate the fact I have to give this place 1 star because the food is actually pretty good when there’s no problems, but the people that work here are the WORST. Incredibly shitty experience. Will not go back.

The tacos here are freakin’ fantastic. I’ve had tacos from all over San Mateo… but this truck really takes the cake. Simple, delicious and authentic tacos. I go with carne asada, onions, cilantro and a little of the hot salsa on those warm corn tortillas… add a little lime and it’s ON. Highly recommended. Maybe I’ll try something else on the menu someday… someday. The tacos are just so good. I think I’ll head over there right now.

I’m guessing I eat here a few times a month. It’s close to my house, it’s good, it’s inexpensive(not cheap, there’s a difference) and it’s good. I’ve tried my fair share of Mexican food but this tips them all. The burrito is good! I recommend the tacos. The corn tortillas are fresh and soft. Make sure to get the cilantro and onions!

This place is a food truck serving up tacos across from the Bevmo in San Mateo. It must be pretty good as there is a fair line to wait for this truck when the usual $ 1 taco trucks don’t really have any line. This is basically a mobile taqueria that serves up some tasty meat in the tacos and burritos. I got a al pastor burrito and my PIC(Partner in Crime) got 3 tacos, 1 tongue, 1 asada, and 1 carnitas. All the meat that we tried was really tasty except for the tongue. The tongue did not have that much flavor so I would stick to the other stuff. For the prices it’s pretty good. $ 1.25 for a taco and $ 6 for a super burrito. Since there are lots of people here at lunch you might need to wait a little for your food. It took about 5 mins plus to wait for our food. If you are craving tacos or burritos in the area, you can’t really go wrong by coming here. There aren’t as many mexican options in the hilsdale area compared to redwood city which has like 2 taquerias per block it seems. It is comparable and better than most of the ones there so it saves me the drive.
