In the past, service has been really great here. Tonight was not the night. There’s a line of 6 – 7 people waiting to be served. 4 people working, only one guy running back and forth serving and ringing up the customers. It would’ve been nice if one of the other people took the initiative of helping out instead of just standing around. After a good 10 – 15 minute wait, my turn finally came. Low and behold they run out of noodles and he tells me the guy can make some but I’ll have to wait 6 minutes. I told him I already have been waiting quite awhile. So I ended up getting rice instead. Someone needs to monitor the food before you run out. No customer wants to wait around for a new batch to get made. Someone should’ve already noticed and started cooking in advance to have it ready to go. I asked the guy why are you the only one helping customers? He didn’t really give a clear good reason. After this experience, I won’t be coming back for awhile.

No more soup offered here. Bummer. People seem to like going here anyway. Nubi Yogurt is next door and has free Wi-Fi just so U know.

Horrible service. Beyond funny it’s so bad. If you close at 10 that doesn’t mean stop cooking food at 9 to get out of work early. The cook and cashier were nice enough to cook a batch for us, then they got yelled at by the manager right in the middle of the store.

I’ve(sadly) been going to Panda since it first opened on the Peninsula. Last night was the first time I tried this location. It was very easy to get to unlike the Hillsdale one or the Burlingame one with parking hells. I found it interesting that this is the only/first Panda Express I’ve been to with only male employees. Because of this or maybe because they were slightly busy, the cleanliness was not there. There were trays everywhere, food containers piled up behind the counter and many of those stainless steel bowls not placed into the hot portion of the counter. Things were scattered. The food was the same as every place, but I’m still annoyed that PE takes out all my favs once I find them: Uncle Thai, potstickers!(Really?! Potstickers!!!) and the brown rice.

Usually Panda is good but lately they have been stingy on their scoops. It usued to be a FULL one or one and a half scoop of food, but now they are only giving about a half scoop of food. It’s a bummer and won’t be going there much more.

I have been a regular at Panda Express, but I am growing more and more dissatisfied with each visit. I noticed that the prices have gone up recently, and it seems like the to-go boxes have become smaller. I ordered orange chicken, and I only got about 4 pieces of chicken. The woman who dished up my meal was so stingy that I felt ripped off. I won’t even mention her sour disposition… OK, I just did ;) Also, I saw a sign that said«Due to a shortage in eggs, we changed our fried rice recipe.» A shortage of eggs… really! Have you been to Costco lately? How about being honest. Just say, «We found another way to charge you more for less.» Panda used to be a good value, but that seems to be changing. Guess I will start looking for an alternative.

It’s Panda Express, that’s why I keep coming back. I can’t count the number of times I’ve walked out of this place though because food isn’t prepared during the lunch hour. Sometimes they just tell me they’re out are there isn’t enough to fill your order. No option of waiting for more to be prepared. It’s a good thing there’s other options to eat close by for those often times Panda Express is out of food. There’s a couple decent employees here, but the rest act like they’re being forced to work there.

Careful. Myself and 3 other co-workers have thrown up after eating here on separate occasions. I do NOT trust it!

Consistently Panda. I often get the Kung Pao Chicken, because it’s, well, good. So that’s what I had, plus a little Honey Sesame Chicken… which said«limited time offer»… so I ate it a little fast out of concern about what might happen to my food if I dallied about. Pandas can be unpredictable, right?

Apart from the fact that the food is really greasy, the customer service is pathetic. The dishes are never ready during the peak time. I had to wait 20 mins for the Teriyaki chicken. Lunch is the peak time and they should have all the dishes ready in advance.

Kinda disappointed that they were out of a lot of the normal options. They were not busy yet took the lady extremely long to get moving to assist me. Food was okay. Typical Panda Express not bad yet not anything special. Table was dirty as well.

Please keep in mind this rating is based off of other fast food restaurants. Honestly, this place is exactly what you came for, cheap, quick and crappy Chinese food. That being said, the employees could at least force a smile. We know that the food is bad, but the service doesn’t have to be subpar also. Every single employee in here looks like they hate their job. In addition to this, they literally let the orange chicken get down to the scraps. This is your most popular dish, I would expect that you are cooking new batches every hour during the lunch period of 11AM-1PM. I came to Panda Express for bad food, but not bad service, come on guys take some pride and step your game up!

Um I’m sure they have some good days but I didn’t come on one. You’ll see a picture of the teriyaki chicken they served me… they actually had a whole bowl full. I was surprise that the manager and the rest of the staff kept it there and served it to people! They forgot my other dish, didn’t give me my cookie and my drink Til I asked for it. This wasn’t a good experience and I’m not very picky.

This place is very dirty. Tables not clean. Food is all around the floor. Even if you are hungry, as soon as, you walk in, you lose apetite because of filthyness. The worst part, manager was sitting and eating and seeing everything. She did not do anything to clean tables. Horrible, i will never come back. I took photos and videos. I will post it to Unilocal soon.

me: «Wanna go to Panda for lunch?» Co-worker: «Panda Express? I’ve never been, is it any good?» me: «It’s super cheap Chinese food, so… no» We went and now its my co-workers favorite lunch spot. I want to give credit to this particular store though. They have a refrigerator in plain sight packed with veggies they claim were prepped that day, even if it were last night, I’m still impressed. I’m usually not a Chinese food fan, breaded mystery meat coated in syrup isn’t my thing, but this restaurant is very clean, with very nice staff and the food always looks fresh. I know Chinese-food-experts might take offense at my opinion, but Panda is my favorite. Plus with the location next door to sport clips you can get a haircut and go to home depot and finish off the day with the fro-yo spot next door without moving your car. Very convenient.

San Mateo Panda Express. Okay, it’s totally Foster City but that’s what we call it. SOGOOD. We really like this location and are kind of «snobs» about Panda. This place has the cool round silver serving bowl/woks.(Usually it’s a sign it’s a more fresh/updated Panda.) And at this location, the freshness of the food — the quality of ingredients and the way it is cooked — is really like close to perfect. Sometimes it can take *a little* while, waiting in line or for food(they should hire 1 or 2 more people — but again this just seems to be a Panda thing). But the people who run it make the line go quick — and if there’s a line at a place, to me: that’s a good sign! It’s cuz the Panda here is just so good! Our Faves: Teriyaki Chicken, Beef/Broccoli, String Bean Chicken!, Orange Chicken, Fresh Veggies, Steamed Brown Rice & Chow Mein! Mmmmm Mmmmmm.

This is the best take-out option within a 5 minute walk of my office. It’s a favorite and at lunch they get BUSY with co-workers who have a similar penchant for tasty generic Chinese food. I don’t have the biggest appetite, so I order a kids meal. which will fill me up for under $ 5. Plus, there’s a cookie. The only downside to this location is that they often run out of common things(like orange chicken and chow mein)… which can lead to standing around an extra 10 minutes after you’ve paid to get the next batch. This has happened several times, so I gotta knock off a star or two as my lunch breaks are generally short.

Everytime I have Panda Express I go with the same combination of fried rice and orange chicken/mushroom chicken. I tasted the new fried fish today and it was tasty, but I don’t understand why it costs &1.75 for a scoop for fish/shrimp as opposed to beef or chicken. Service was quick. Parking is easy as shared with Home Depot. Gets crowded around lunch time with employees from nearby companies like Visa, and the construction worker type from Home Depot.
