I just sat in traffic to get before 6, when it says they close today and it’s exactly 5:30 (when they really close) and you tell they have been closed! What a freakin waste of my time!!!

Sam is such a nice guy! I walked in one day wanted to fix the heels on my shoes and he was so pleasant to chat and joke around with. The shoes he fixed included removing and replacing the entire sole as well as my heel. It was a total of $ 55, which in my book is a bit steep, but it was a quality job. One week later, and my shoes are like brand new.

First, I had to replace the bottoms of a pair of Banana Republic heels. He not only used genuine 100% Italian leather for the sole (looks better than it did before) but the job was so well done, it was fitted perfectly to the shoe, no excess glue… AND I also received my heels back one day prior to the pick up date because not only is the Cobbler great at what he does, but he is quick too!
At first I was unaware how much shoe repair cost and thought that I might shop around for rates, but after receiving back my second pair of heels back from the Cobbler, I am not going anywhere else! The price is more than worth the work, the Cobbler’s work is the best shoe repair I have ever seen and I have an experience with 3 cobblers total.
The second pair of heels received a non slip grip and the grip he uses is sturdier than anything I have seen. Furthermore, the fitting of his work to the shape of the shoe is phenomenal… coming from someone who is a perfectionist, this says a lot!

I took my leather jacket my friend spilled beer on, which left it stained. When I took it here, they weren’t sure they could do much. I decided to leave it and give this place a shot, and I am so glad I did.
They did such a great job at removing the beer stains that I couldn’t even see any trace of them being there in the first place. I will definitely come here again for leather repair!

First of all I’d like to just give a little back story about how I came across this establishment:
I recently purchased a Gucci belt and it turned out that I needed another hole to get it to fit just right. I called the owner of the store to see how much he’d charge and he told me to «just bring it by.» When got there he made TWO new holes and I asked him what the damage was and he said «nothing, just live a healthy, and happy life… and by a lotto ticket because its your lucky day.» Feeling as though I HAD to pay something; I simply just brought a few shirts by to have altered (he wouldn’t dare refuse my payment by doing this lol) The shirts were tailored perfectly, the best i’ve had on this side of the bay. I definitely found myself a new tailor and a darn good one too. Who knew just a random act of kindness would have caused all this?

So nice! My Great Aunt is cleaning out her closet and gave me great shoes that needed some attention. Was taken care of quickly and wasn’t even charged. What a nice neighborhood establishment!

My husband and I are really picky, when it comes to shoe repair. We are always surprised how great «Cobbler’s» results are. He is a master in what he is doing.
Cobbler also does dry cleaning. I only can recommend him.

I really like this place — they have excellent customer service, have extremely reasonable prices, and are in a great location.

These guys are wonderful! They are my go to spot to fix all of my poor boots (which I brutalize) and other expensive shoes. I have a pair of Calvin Klein boots in particular that regularly need the heels replaced, and they always come back looking fantastic. Also, they are always pleasant to speak with.

I brought in my black boots to be spruced up and the heels fixed and they came back looking brand new. Recently I went in to have extra holes put in my belt and he did it for free. Really nice older man working there, great service. Would definitely go back!!!

Consistently good work with fair pricing. We have taken shoes for resoles, others for stretching, others for dying.
We wholeheartedly recommend this store.

I was very happy to find this shoe repair store. I went to another in the Peninsula that shall remain nameless and it was terrible service and way overpriced! Anyhoo, The Cobbler repaired several shoes of mine, had a pair dyed and stretched and resoled. GREAT work! Andre is extremely friendly and really takes his time. Hard to find good customer service these days. Highly recommend this shop!

Best little mom and pop shop in town.
They saved my Dior heels, got the stains out of my husbands work shirts, and were super kind.
I keep going back and won’t use anyone else. Glad I found them.

omg, this place is really bad! very disorganized but yet, they charged you a ridiculous amount of money! Pls… do not even bother to go try this place!!!

I’ve come here a couple times over the past few years and the quality is always spot on. I always come with boots or high heels and while it is pricey, i’ve never been disappointed. From what I see, other quality shops are just as pricey. They are so nice and I will totally be back.

I tried this place out blindly since I was too lazy to take my shoes into the city to fix. BIG MISTAKE. I took a pair of flats here and they came back to me ‘mediocre’. It was ok and a bit messy with all the glue sticking out. The price was ok here. I will try another place the next time. This teaches me a lesson!

I would give zero stars if I could. We’ve been here a number of times now and it’s been a disaster every time. I kept thinking it was just a fluke, but it’s clear the place is run by incompetents.
Among other problems, they are consistently poor communicators and incredibly disorganized. Most recently we were double charged and when we pointed it out told about their «reputation for quality.»
Worst of all is the attitude and the outrageous price gouging. Cost to polish a pair of simple harness boots & stretch them? $ 55.
Three strikes, you’re out.

I bought a Franklin Covey bag/​sort of briefcase-​ish sort of handbag-​ish bag and spent a fortune on it. Gorgeous leather with all sorts of compartments. Used it to death; literally until the bottom fell out. I was crushed as it was my signature bag.
Took it to The Cobbler and asked if it could be repaired. The man said he’d leave it for the person who does this sort of thing and we agreed that it would take a few weeks. I got my receipt/​ticket (with my phone number on it) and left. A few weeks later I went back thinking it had been repaired. Nope. It had been sitting there the whole time as it was beyond repair. Couldn’t you have called me to tell me that?
No idea if the other services are good but I was so annoyed that I am pretty sure I won’t be back.
I’m going to Boat Feet next to see what they can do. Hummph.

I will say that the staff here is friendly. They certainly greeted me each time I came in with a smile. However, I will not be visiting again.
I brought in 2 pairs of expensive heels, including my favorite bright red Italian leather pumps (They really don’t look as tacky as that sounds.), and requested that the taps on the heels be replaced. This is a simple job that cost me about $ 7 at my old cobbler in SF… I was charged $ 12 for each.
When I came in to pick them up a couple of weeks later, they took over 20 minutes to locate my shoes even though I had the claim slip. Things seemed a little disorganized in the shop and my heels had been misplaced.
I noticed that while they did replace the taps as requested (and I will credit them with a competent job), they had gotten some of the black glue onto the red leather of my favorite pumps! NOOOOO!!! MY PRECIOUS!!!
I consulted with the woman that worked there was assured that they had a cleaner that could remove the goo without damaging the leather. You have to understand how it is with girls and shoes – I really love these heels. I asked her 3 times whether the color would be okay and was told not to worry. Watched tensely as she rubbed the spot really aggressively with a dirty rag and made tsking sounds. Panicked when she gave up and headed into the back of the shop with my baby without explanation. When she finally came back the glue was gone, but it was obvious that she had scraped it off with something sharp… and taken a significant portion of the red dye with it. I wasn’t even refunded the $ 12 to compensate for the damage… and my sweet little shoes are scratched, discolored, and ruined forever.
So buyers beware: this shop is too expensive – it cost me a little piece of my heart.
