I went to Dr. Thomas, Dr. Fagin’s partner, to have my impacted wisdom teeth removed. When I went in for the consultation the receptionist wasn’t very nice, quite snooty in fact. I figured it was just a fluke incident and ignored it. Upon coming in for my wisdom teeth extraction I was made to wait for around an hour after my appointment time to have my surgery. During the surgery I woke up and could FEEL them taking my teeth out. When I got home it hurt so badly, I took vicodin which was given to me at the office and I felt mostly better. Later when the vicodin wore off I realized that not only was there severe bruising in my jaw(which is understandable) the inside of my mouth is really messed up as well. There should be no reason to cut the inside of my mouth all up, theoretically you are just removing wisdom teeth, not cutting up the inside of my lips. Regardless I was pretty unhappy with the surgery in general, and the fact that they wanted 2000 dollars(650 after insurance) to do 4 wisdom teeth is pretty expensive as well, especially considering poor customer service I recieved. I don’t have any more wisdom teeth in my mouth, but if i was to have some removed in the future I would definitely not go to this office. UPDATE: I called back today to ask some questions about my swelling. They told me that my cheeks to be swelling is normal, but they also told me that it is normal to wake up during the surgery and feel them pulling my teeth out. For two thousand dollars I should not wake up during the surgery.
