Third time in a row my little 9 year old and I got overcharged. I bought 2— $ 1 lottery tickets, a 12 Oz Dr. Pepper, and a small bag of sour patch kids 75 cents. he charged $ 5.50. $ 2 for the lottery ticket, 75 cents for the candy, and I guess $ 2.75 for a single bottle of dr. Pepper… when I asked how much, he pretended not to speak english… never shopping there again!!!

The prices can fluctuate depending on who is behind the counter. Some of the perishable food is eerily close to expiration. Yet, some of the workers are really nice and it is convenient when you need certain ingredient or a snack.

nice guys own these markets, been around for years. Check food expiration dates. Get rid of the riff raff that hangs out in front of the store. It will make it a much nicer place to go and make the neighborhood safer.

That’s too good a score for this disgusting place which I intend to report to the alcohol bureau for selling on credit, vodka to a stumbling drunk! Bar tenders are legally mandated to cut off a drunk. How does this guy get away with giving it away to one, on credit. How do I know he’s not lying about what he’s given, god knows the drunk is clueless. This can’t be right, hopefully not legal

If I could give the store less stars I would. Depending on who’s working a bag of ice is two dollars or three dollars. I’ve been in there to buy beer and the price can vary by as much as a dollar to $.50 per transaction. The store is dirty and the guy Sam who owns it is nice. But. there’s always kids hanging out in front trying to buy beer. An entire store is set up for EBT snap cards. Needs to be cleaned up or get a new owner that would actually have a real small-market there. I think it’s easy to say that I hundred percent of the people who buy groceries there. Are On some sort of government assistance and don’t care how much they cost. Vons is cheaper LOL. Look at busy bee market. And how great the sandwiches are there. The store creates more problems. Then conveniences.

I’m going to write this, while waiting for the laughter… I used this place for the booze for my daughter’s wedding! wait for it… wait for it… laugh! While you are laughing, I will start putting all those dollar bills back into my wallet, keep laughing, because this will take awhile. To my shock, Alma market was actually more affordable than Costco and even BevMo for alcohol… I sure hope it is real booze?! For a 1.75 Ltr of Vodka, I saved $ 3.75 more than if i had went to BevMo that week. Lets talk wine, wino’s. I happen to like barefoot and with the special they had going on, I could grab all the barefoot I wanted and still by a brand new pair of prada shoes! Sam, he is that Indian guy you see walking around with the thing on his head… LOVEHIM! I have yet to meet a more friendly, more down to earth guy than Sam! I do want to know what the name«Sam» is really short for though, I am thinking some really cool middle eastern name :) Alma market is also the only place I know that you can buy Miller High Life for $ 4.99 a 6-pack(in my case, $ 4.75)…again, LOVEHIM! I wish he would have taken the space next door to exand the store, I could only imagine the fabulous pizza he could have made. yum! I am thinking no burnt crust there! Did I just give away a possible review of the pizza place next door? Oops, sorry :(My one and only experience of the place was not that thrilling and because I will not go back for a second dissappointing taste… I will leave the reviews to someone else.

This place is right next to Pavich’s Brick Oven Pizza and we stopped by here to grab a quick little snack before our pizza since we were starving(just ran the PV Half Marathon). It’s a basic convenience store with drinks, snacks and a few other necessities. We grabbed a couple brewskys and chips and sat outside eagerly for Pavich’s to open. Unless you desperately need something, you’re better off served going to your local market or drugstore.
