Ahhhhh Rosie!
What an amazing heart and an amazing soul! This translates into the practice she holds and the classes she teaches.
There is no «om-​y» attitude and there are no pretensions… just down-​home, good yoga that feeds the mind, delights the heart and awakens the body. I have a few issues, as many do as we go along in life, and I have never felt Rosie or ANY of her teachers express, openly or subtly, that I was lacking in any way. I feel warm, welcome and alive within the classes of Yoga Bindu. I will agree, the carpet can be a bit of a shocker at first, but meh… we all have our preferences. I like the artwork found there and the efforts to change it up regularly I deeply appreciate.
Please give Yoga Bindu a try, won’t you? The price is right the hours and class schedule is expansive and the staff rocks!

I may be a little biased because I love Yoga Bindu! Nearly ten years ago when I walked into this small, intimate studio, my life took a new direction. With director Rosie Good’s beautiful teaching, my eyes were opened to a more spiritual, gentle, and healthy way of living. The friends I’ve made at Yoga Bindu are from many walks of life but are like minded, which makes for a wonderful community of kind, loving, creative people. We are always happy to make room for new people when they walk in the door for the first time.
This is not a fancy studio but one that is warm and welcoming. The All Levels classes are more challenging, and the Gentle Beginning classes are good for everyone, not just beginners.
If you are looking for a positive yoga experience in San Pedro, this is the place.

Love Rosies voice! She is great at making me relax and the breath work is wonderful. My meditation has really improved.

I’ve been coming to this little yoga studio for at least three years, and every time I go (usually Mondays for the «gentle» class) I want to kick myself for not going more often. Unfortunately, I can’t kick myself because I’m just not that flexible — but Rosie, the owner and primary teacher there has really made a difference in my nearly fossilized joints. My serious inflexibility is not an issue in this wonderful place, and Rosie ensures that there is no pressure on you to do anything more than your body can stand. She is the real deal: intelligent, competent, and kind. I feel better every time I leave; it’s the best money I spend all week.
There is just the right blend of meditation and postures, at least for me — and the focus on breathing is very helpful. The studio is small, but fosters a nice atmosphere of togetherness — and I always feel a lot of warmth and friendliness when I arrive.
I can’t say enough about this place.

I will also admit (like others here) that i was at first taken aback by the carpet (it’s so odd that’s one of the first things you notice). But, I took one of Rosie’s all levels classes and really was struck by how clear and focused the class was. We started with a good amount of well-​led pranayama (breath work) and that really set the tone for a strong class to be built. I didn’t expect to leave with such a big yoga-​glow, but I did!
Some of the décor is at first jarring, but it all blends in nicely once you start your practice. It’s like going into someone’s living room, at first you judge it by the way it looks, then once you love the people and the environment, it just seems comforting.

yup, go here whenever i’m at my parents’ house. Rosie is a fantastic teacher. Also affordable prices for classes.
and ya, the carpeting is on the gnar side. but for some reason it doesn’t gross me out as much as i thought it would. also not yoga bindu’s fault, but the dog groomer next door can get loud with barking (duh).

Wow, I can’t believe this is Yoga Bindu’s first review…
Last summer I was visiting LA for a bunch of non-​yoga related reasons, and I desperately needed to go to a class. I googled places near my family’s home, and found Yoga Bindu. I am so glad I went, because this is honestly one of the best little spots to practice yoga that I have been to…
What makes this place special is the teachers and the yoga community (I ended up taking probably 6 classes during that trip!). Rosie, the owner, is an INCREDIBLE teacher and she’s got her yoga-​teacher chops way in line. She’s articulate, precise, and at the same time very nurturing and warm.
I also met a woman at the studio and we became instant friends. We are still in touch, even though I live across the country! It turns out that she teaches at Yoga Bindu (Michelle) and so on my next trip to San Pedro I took her class and she is also an EXCELLENT teacher. Yay for this little studio!
There is no snottiness, pretentious behavior, or any of that other slimy yoga behavior that can go on at studios.
The only drawback is the carpeted floors. It’s a tad funky. Not gross-​funky, just kinda bleh. The room is not heated so it wasn’t like we were dripping all over the floor (like some *other* forms of yoga that use *ahem CARPETED* floors all the time… in intense heat… another story, sorry…). The studio is small, which I don’t have a problem with, but it definitely is not your fancy-​shmancy-​ooh-​la-​la studio on the surface.
I highly recommend taking a class here because you will actually LEARN something about yoga and yourself, which to me is so valuable…
