I rarely write reviews but use Unilocal a lot. I ordered my new glasses today. I went there yesterday and Diane greeted me warmly and immediately started pulling out frames for me. First of all, their inventory is better than most places, and trust me when I tell you I have been looking for a while for that «perfect» frames! They carry many high end brand names and more affordable yet good quality glasses and frames. I was very pleased of the many options I had to chose from. Their service and customer care is superb! Diane took such a good care of me, was patient, was very quick figuring out my taste, knew stores inventory well and was very honest about what looked good on me and what did not! Above all, her sweet personality made the whole experience worthy of 5 stars! I have been wearing glasses for decades and not a novice. This is where I’ll go for all of my optic needs.

Children and sunglasses — especially wood and metal framed sunglasses — do not mix. I attended a gathering recently and put said glasses in an area I thought was out of reach, but looked over at one point to see a toddler grasping my glasses by the arms and stretching them with all her might. Agh! ²⁰⁄₂₀ to the rescue — they performed the adjustment quickly and on the spot, without an appointment and in less than 5 minutes. I’ll definitely return — many thanks!

I stopped in because I’d seen some sunglasses in the window a few months before and wanted to purchase them. The person who helped me indicated they get limited supplies in and go through them pretty quickly. She was not interested in helping me order something even though I had taken a few pictures of the frames in their window. She lost a sale because I would have bought them had she taken the time to look them up for me.

²⁰⁄₂₀ Is literally THE best place to get glasses. These people really know their stuff and can narrow down which glasses are the perfect fit for you. Along with that, the service is absolutely wonderful. The sales people (especially Diane) are quick and very pleasant!. I have gotten my glasses 3 times from this store and every time my experience has been remarkable and have always left feeling happy. With out a doubt, ²⁰⁄₂₀ is remarkable experienced, and THE place to get your next pair of glasses.

This place is AMAZING! This is the second time I have picked frames from ²⁰⁄₂₀. Ben really listened to what it was I was looking for and provided top notch style guidance. Not only that, I was in visiting from LA and was on a bit of a time crunch before I had to leave. He hustled to get my new beautiful frames we picked out filled with my prescription in a 1 day turnaround! I am so happy! Thank you ²⁰⁄₂₀ Optical! I absolutely LOVE my new glasses!

What really separates one optical shop from another (and online but I’ll touch on that in a moment) is not only selection but service. Service takes form in both the personnel but also their talent in helping you and their craft of lens making. If you think that doesn’t make a difference, then order online.
However, ordering online gets you inexpensive frames but they look cheap but the real telling story is the lenses. The whole reason you wear glasses. Think about it for a moment and it’ll hit you. Why would you compromise on what you see every waking second of the day? Don’t. After wearing online frames and lenses for the past 2 years, I had bought a set of nice frames from ²⁰⁄₂₀. When I drove away last night, I was astounded. The traffic lights on 2^nd street had dimension and everything was sharp. Plus, the frames aren’t cheap looking and will last like a good pair of shoes.
Getting back to the shop. I feel taken care of in an all-​around way. Sure, ²⁰⁄₂₀ sells really nice and somewhat expensive product but consider your eyes (and style) an investment for your face. I learned a lesson in going cheap — it doesn’t pay off where it really matters — one or your five senses and probably the most important. Frames = style but the lenses are your conduit to experiencing life in a better way. ²⁰⁄₂₀ is my new «go-​to» period. I like the styles, the people there, and their talent of helping me see better.

I have been wearing glasses for nearly 50 years and I have never had a better experience shopping for glasses then at ²⁰⁄₂₀. I normally hate picking out frames and end up pawing endlessly through piles whimpering in miserable indecision. David expertly assessed exactly what kind of frames would look best and work best given all of my many considerations and found the perfect ones for me in a very short and painless time. He also gave me a great deal on a pair of computer glasses. The glasses were ready ahead of schedule and I love both pair. The eye exam with Dr. Gregory Perrone was also a wonderful experience. I highly recommend them.

My wife had a pair of Oakley sunglasses that she loved. Unfortunately the lenses became scratched and the protective film started to peel away. MORE unfortunately, Oakley was no help as the lenses were obsolete and could not be repaired – until we found ²⁰⁄₂₀! I have no idea how they did it, but they managed to make the glasses better than new and now my wife is more than happy (and she looks very cool)! Thanks ²⁰⁄₂₀!

Stay far away! High pressure sales tactics!!!
I went in today to buy some glasses. The sales women would not leave me alone even after I asked her TWICE that I wanted just look at the frames and see what I liked. She was glued to my shoulder the entire time. After asking her the THIRD time to not hover and let me browse the other women that works there came over to work me too. I just walked out after that.
I can’t comment on the inventory because I was never given the opportunity to view it
I should have known better. When I called to ask about glasses the same women answered the phone. She was pushy on the phone as well. She was less interested in what I wanted and more interested in pushing her agenda on me.
If I could give it zero stars I would. It’s too bad cause I bought my last glasses there years ago. Much better staff back then!

Our daughter is 3 years old and needed bi-​focals, we live in San Francisco and were prescribed by our doctor to get these unique lenses and had a couple Bay Area options. ²⁰⁄₂₀ optical didn’t have a huge selection of children’s frames, although we got them from
and brought them in and worked with ²⁰⁄₂₀ to get the lenses. The entire experience was perfect, Diane was who helped us and the only word I have to describe her attitude/​work with our daughter was «magical» — during both visits she was pleasant, prompt, and overall we’ve got new lenses in her glasses that work perfectly!

I haven’t found a better selection of frames in Marin. ²⁰⁄₂₀ has so many styles to choose from and they strive to get it right. Yes, they are pricey but I’ve been less than enthusiastic about some of the frames I’ve purchased elsewhere in the past so I’m willing to pay more for a frame that is just what I’m looking for. Good customer service to go with a great selection.

I keep going back to buy the coolest frames. Diane and David can do any type of lenses and help you find that perfect fit. They are real artist with eyes.
Go in and tell them «Tyler» sent you. I drove 400 miles to go back and yes I had other business but ²⁰⁄₂₀ was on my priority list. Don’t be shy! I spend lots of $$$ on frames but until my new ones arrive I still wear frames I bought in 2000 that’s big bang for my buck. It’s an investment in how you look. I don’t like cheap glasses but they do have some very well priced depending on your budget. Also my friend got a high-​end brand frame off their sale shelf.
If you are a person who thinks customer service is dead in America you really need a jolt of of good faith at ²⁰⁄₂₀!

This place rocks! I needed new lenses in 48 hours. Dave (the owner) and his right-​hand gal Judy took care of everything in almost half the time! It is very «clear» why their shop is filled with repeat customers. Just stunning service, full stop.

I’ve been searching for a optical place with a large selection of frames and sunglasses for quite some time. Buying beautiful frames is like buying accessories and new shoes. Having a fabulous pair of glasses ties the look together.
I saw a great pair of reading glasses on a friend of mine and she recommended ²⁰⁄₂₀ Optical. I’ve been buying my glasses at ²⁰⁄₂₀ now for several years.
David and Diane always make me feel special and spend quality time with me. I never feel pressured or rushed. It usually takes me awhile to make a decision on frames. Both David and Diane have a good sense of style and have always guided me on the right choice.
I have never been disappointed. I recently purchased a pair of David Yurman sunglasses, which I love and have not seen anywhere else.
They have the most unusual and largest selection of frames I have seen anywhere in the area.
Their prices are in-​line with designer frames, and their customer service is priceless.
I will not shop anywhere else for glasses and sunglasses. Ask for David, the owner or Diane.

A beautiful pair of eyeglasses is in the same category as having great haircut, or glowing skin. It’s something you wear everyday, no matter what clothes or shoes you put on. It’s an investment you make, and when you buy the perfect pair, you make everything else you wear look better. You look smarter, prettier (more handsome) etc.
I’ve been going to ²⁰⁄₂₀ for years, ever since I admired a pair of glasses a friend of mine was wearing.
The last time … i ran into trouble as i had cataracts and no one knew. The glasses had to be redone a few times until i found out my problem. They always treated me like a 24K gold-​plated customer!
I have rimless and i can re-​use the frames when my prescription changes. They look so great on me. It’s worth every cent to know i look great in these, and i love being treated so professionally and courteously. It just doesn’t get any better than this. No wonder they keep getting voted the Best of Marin. It’s places like this where i can honestly say, «money well spent.»
Build a relationship with this people over time and they will take care of you.

This place is for people made of money. Yes they have a large selection and they cut the lens right there on site. But just too snobbby feeling, plus I always smell cigerette smoke in the store from the sales staff, and they charge for every little thing that other opticions offer as a courtesy.
There prices are outragous.
Also the location is in the area were all the street people hang out.

I’ve been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. David and his staff really care and are dedicated to doing things the right way.
When it comes to my eyes, this is the only place that I trust.

From the moment we walked in the door Diane was on it! She asked smart questions, showed off a solid range of frames (from their huge inventory) that were spot on based on what I told her, and was as friendly and courteous as anyone I’ve ever met in my life.
Beginning to end I felt like I was taken care of incredibly well. My wife and I left feeling like Diane was a long lost friend we reconnected with!
YES, this place is on the expensive side. But if you’re going to ding it because of this, please be sure you’re comparing apples to apples. This place is high-​end and high-​quality. ²⁰⁄₂₀ Optical may not be right for everyone, but it’s perfect for us.
