They did a great job with my car! Quick service and everyone was so helpful and nice. Austin helped me and he was very knowledgeable. They were attentive and kept me updated throughout the process. Definitely will return.

Well let’s do this again, because I initially reviewed the wrong location.
Short and sweet: STAY AWAY. Unless you think a shop should be able to damage your car and then try and pass it off to you, without telling you about it.
Went in for a simple swap of summer tires for all seasons. Appointment time was an hour out of whack. Went in at 9am and didn’t get looked after until an hour later.
Got car back with a messed up wheel, with a large scrape around a ¼ of the rim, like if curb rash, and grease and armor-​all slopped all over the place.
I’d try ANYWHERE else first if you really care about your car.

These guys were great, had the oil I needed and were open on a Sunday.

Eli and Mario were great to work with. I showed up in Marin with a flat tire on my way to work and they had it fixed immediately. They got me the right tire for my car and did a wonderful job. I would absolutely go back again!

Guys do good work. Mario the store manager has taken care of me and has made sure I leave happy. They care about how you feel and seem like honest mechanics.

I will never bring my car here. They lie, said the car will be in 1 ½ hour, I come to see the car how the work is going and they haven’t touch the car in 2 ½ hours. Something will take one an a half hour took 5 hours, people are overworked and stress out. They give you a lousy answer and they didn’t really care, specially when the work is under guarantee, they put in the side to give priority the one will pay right away. Before they were very good, now they are terrible.

People there don’t know what they doing. At first they asked me for a wheel lock key when I told them I didn’t have it they said they can do it anyway. Then after 2 hours when everything was supposed to be ready they called me saying they could not replaced my wheels because I didn’t have the safety key and blamed me for not having it… Waste of time… Called another place Diamond Tire and they said they have it and had no problem with installing it withing a little bit over an hour and waived $ 50 fee for using their safety key…

This review is way overdue! I decided to purchase a set of four tires for my vehicle and after calling all over Marin I decided Toscalito was offering the best price for a set of four tires and alignment. As a female I pride myself in being well informed on my vehicles needs and Mario the GM was super helpful and accommodating he even told be about tire insurance! WHAT A LIFE SAVER! I will definitely be back simply because of Mario, I had a nail in my tire and Mario helped me get in and out of the shop within 40 minutes on a busy day and because I had purchased the Tire insurance I didn’t have to pay a dollar more! Talk to Mario he will help you out.

I decided to give the folks at Toscalito another try. This time all was fine. The lube and oil change was completed on time and they even made another minor repair at no charge. Excellent service!

While at Toscalito for other business, the service writer pointed out that one of my tires was flat (actually about half flat). They filled the tire and kept it overnight. Next day they reported that it was flat again, that air was leaking through cracks in the sidewall and it could not be repaired. Further, they said my all-​wheel drive vehicle does not permit replacement of a single tire so all four tires needed replacement. They then tried to sell me 4 tires. They further told me all of my tires are bald.
I did not purchase. They were kind enough to put on my spare tire. Inspecting the other tires when I picked up the vehicle, they did not appear to me to be bald or near bald.
I drove to Sears, where the tire was purchased. Sears removed a staple from the bottom of the tire, not the sidewall. They properly pressured the tire. That was about 3 weeks ago and the tire is doing just fine.
Whether Toscalito acted in error or bad intent is not something I would know. What I do know is that Sears properly addressed a tire problem that Toscalito could not or would not.

Having had recent knee replacement surgery U can’t check my tires myself. They checked them or me at no charge — total time less than 10 minutes. Way to go guys!

I have gone here for years because i love going across the street to the mall while i wait for my car.
how to tell if they are honest? today was a good example. I brought in my car on short notice. the door handle wasn’t working.
yes the diagnostic is $ 120 but you do have to pay them an hourly rate to disassemble the car and for their skills in assessment of what’s wrong, plus if they need to go and buy parts if needed, and so on. (all that is included in the fee).
i was told in advance that should i need parts, all that would be extra would be the parts which in my case turned out to be $ 78. Hence, no incentive to be charged more hourly fees for more dissembling, reassembling, etc. for another time when parts came in, even if on another day.
They managed to fix my car while getting the part too in very short order, same day. I felt someone else could have charged way more… after all, i am not an expert in cars or repairs. Who knows what could have been charged for this?
Instead i got a clean and reasonably priced transaction that i understood in advance, and drove off with door handle fixed. (and tires checked!)
i am glad i use this company for all the perks of location, and they are always so nice, too! trusting them is a such an essential add-​on, too!

I’ve given these guys 2 chances and now I am done with them forever;
1^st time I made an appt and dropped my car off for 5 hours only to return and discover they didn’t even touch it.
2^nd time I called for pricing for 4 new tires and got a price for ‘everything, out the door’. When I showed up for my appointment, they informed me of the additional price for alignment.
Why the hell would I put new tires on a car that was not aligned properly???
The ‘out the door ’ price should be the fee you need to pay to get 4 tires on your car. Nice move Toscalito, waiting until I get there to pull the extra fee on me; excellent way to get me to walk out.

Go here and you will be well taken care of. Specifically ask for Mario and you will be stoked. Great service, good work, reasonable rates and prompt. Took me as a walk in after four on a Friday and stayed late to get me back on the road! Earned every star.

I got a nail in my tire and they told me that they couldn’t fix it but that I had to buy new tires. Then they proceeded to use a power drill to try and remove my spare tire and stripped the bolts. Now the spare tire could not go into its cradle but ended up being thrown in the back of my van. I took the van to Cains and they patched up the tire quickly and easily. Seems I didn’t need new tires. Then I took the car to the shop and paid hundreds to fix the spare tire cradle and bolts. I went back to Toscalito with the bill and they denied everything and I left empty-​handed. I sent in my husband later and he got a credit in the form of new tires. Really bad experience here, and not much respect for women.

Needed a shop to pull up my car radio so I could get the serial # on it in order to get it working again (Fun Honda quirk). I thought I needed to do this because the Honda dealer who previously serviced my car told me that was all that was missing to get radio back on. Turns out they were entirely wrong.
I called Toscalito hoping someone could pull the radio out and provide the code. Mario told me over the phone they don’t typically do radio repair or install but he was confident someone in the shop would have the know-​how to just pull it out at the very least. I dropped the car off minutes later and within an hour George, the technician, had the car fixed.
Amazingly, it didn’t need any serial # that I had to use to get a code from Honda to get the radio working (this is what Honda said needed to occur) but all it needed was a new fuse for the radio (Fuse work was what I originally brought it for Honda for…)… Afterwards, George showed me where the fuses are located in my car, specifically for the radio so I can give it a shot myself next time, if I so choose.
Quick and knowledgeable service, and time saved trying to track down some mythical code. Plus, for the first time in 2014 – my radio works :)
Thank you Mario, for offering services outside of the usual offerings and to George for figuring out what was going on, fixing it, and teaching me a bit in the process!

BAD customer service and a bunch of rip offs!
Got a flat tire near their location. Took it to the shop, and was told they cannot sell me just one tire, and I need to buy ALL 4, are you kiddin me?! … They kept saying it was a liability to them, and insisted I buy 4 since i have a 4WD. I did my research and I do NOT need all 4, but only 2 at a time need to be replaced (even called my dealership). They would not even sell me 2. After a getting a quote on the tires, found out how ridiculous their price was because i was able to find the same store at another location who sold me just ONE tire for 50 bucks cheaper. I got my spare put on by them, they did not even bother explaining what happened to my blown out tire… Loose brownie points.

I came in 5 minutes before they closed with a nail in my tire that was rapidly losing air. I wasn’t going to have time to come back in the morning and if I waited any longer I was going to have a flat tire. All four of my tires were dangerously bald and so after discussing my options, Eric and Mario stayed over an hour late to give me all four new tires and set up a credit card with me so I could pay for it! They went FAR above and beyond to help me. Not only did they take the extra time at the end of a long day but they were friendly, helpful and a joy to work with. I strongly recommend using Toscalito Tire and Automotive for their quality work and excellent customer service. You will not be disappointed!

Although when I was at the shop the experience was bad, afterwards it showed what a horrible job they had done. After i had my tires aligned, i found a couple months after that the alignment was so bad that both of my front tires were so bald the wire was showing. I also found that when i went to sear to get new front tires and a alignment that Toscalito was WAY overpriced. Save yourself the trouble, go to sears down the street instead.

I have been a repeat customer of Toscalito Tire for many years, and highly recommend their service! Being a mother in her late 20’s I have alway’s been treated MORE than fair at Toscalito! It’s dissapointing to read these poor review’s because I couldn’t imagine the staff treating anyone poorly. Unilocal is for business reviews not to vent your bad day. Terra Linda Toscalito deserves 10 stars for their managment, staff and technicians. I will be a customer for life!
