Stay away be all means. Disgusting. rude delivery driver, disgusting soggy tasteless chicken. I spent 30 dollars on shitty food I can’t even return. The dinner combo comes with an entrée, a little tiny bit of soup and rice with some sort of deep fried roll. They don’t even include utensils or napkins. I’m never ordering this food again

This place is great. The staff is friendly and greets you with a smile. The food is wonderful. The sauces are tasty. This place has the best curry chicken and Chinese can offer! Their egg rolls actually have egg inside them and not just vegetables! They were amazing. They include some yummy soup even with their lunch special take out orders. Their chicken is actually juicy in nice pieces not those scary pieces some places have where you wonder how it can be that way. I definitely recommend you try them if you are in the area!

I was excited to drive by a Chinese restaurant that serves Mandarin and Szechuan cuisine not too far from home so I went in and got a menu and returned that night for take out. Really disappointing food. The General Chicken was somewhat soggy, not crisp at all and no spice even though it says(and normally is at other places) a little spicy due to the peppers. The Mu Shu chicken was bland and sitting in liquid. They only give you a thimble sized container of plum sauce for 3 pancakes. The egg rolls had no taste. We didn’t even try the Wonton soup . Won’t be having the rest for tomorrow’s lunch which I was planning on. Threw the rest away. Sadly, won’t be going back.

Best Chinese food in Marin County!!! I finally found what I have been looking for. The food is made fresh for each order. I am telling all my friends about Uncle Wings. Looks like closing Baskin Robbins was worth it after all :)

Ordered delivery. Yuck. It was pretty much inedible. I took a few bites, found a hair and it all tasted very bland. The shrimp dish smelt way too fishy. I just wasted $ 50 on take out as I threw most of it away.

Tl;Dr: Waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for bland food, for a take-out order. Not recommended. I ordered my dinner from their website March 5th, 2016, that is served by Eat24. I received my confirmation that the order was placed at 6:54PM. The time requested was«ASAP», and the confirmation said 10−30minutes. I then received a text from Eat24 stating the order would not be ready till 7:40PM due to the restaurant being busy. Due to it being a very rainy night, and downtown San Rafael being a pain to find parking in, I arrived at the restaurant at 8:00PM. Upon walking to the counter, and being greeted by a teenage girl(maybe 14?), potentially the owner’s daughter, I was told the order was not ready. It was a very bland reception, but then again I can sort of understand, as who wants to be working in your family’s restaurant on a Saturday night, while you are a young teenager. I was informed that it would be another 20 – 30 minutes wait time, putting us at about 8:30PM until the order would be ready. Not really having a choice, I waited in their entryway on a bench by the door, until the order was ready. During my time at the front desk, however, I noticed for a «busy» restaurant, they had ONE group of 4 people sitting inside, that already had received their food. When the daughter had looked at the orders received by phone call/fax, there were TWO, with one of those being mine. Granted, the other order looked somewhat sizable, but nothing more than perhaps for a family of 4−5(I realize that is a subjective view, as I have no idea how large/small these people are, nor their eating habits, but you’ll have to forgive me). Anyway, back to the bench. While waiting, the wind continuously blew the door open, then slammed the door shut. Being this was a rainy and windy night, this was happening VERY often. They seemed to have no insulation or cushioning for exactly this kind of thing. Perhaps it was the door stopper(I dunno the actual name for the arms at the top of doors to slow down the opening and closing of them) being worn down and not maintained. Either way, it was accompanied by a digital ringing bell every time the door opened and closed. I was only getting my order to go, so I wouldn’t have to listen to this as long(minus that half hour wait), but I can only imagine the experience as a restaurant patron eating inside. I was not interacted with at all during the entire wait. No «I’m sorry for the wait,» or «Can I get you a glass of water,» or ANY kind of hospitality. I was just ignored. FINALLY when the order was ready, they didn’t even walk over to notify me. I got the motioning of the mother from behind the counter across the room to signal my order was ready, or so I thought. Instead I walked up, only to find out, it wasn’t actually ready, but had another 5 minutes to go. Thanks! So I waited at the counter for the additional 5 minutes. I was given my food, in a single, not doubled bagged plastic bag, and with the weight of the food, I knew this bag was not going to carry my food to my destination, if held by the handles. I cradled it in my arms for safety, which I found unfortunate, as it’s the little things, along with the big ones that add to this first impression. The safety of my food was not paramount to them. I finally received my, «I’m sorry for the wait,» at the end of everything, which was better than nothing. After my drive home, I went to taste the meal. I sampled each of my 4 different portions, which included Orange Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Beef Chow Mein, and Chicken Fried Rice. The Orange Chicken was dry, and seemed overly fried. The Sweet and Sour Chicken actually had tender chicken, not overly syrupy, and was pretty good. The Beef Chow Mein was bland, and tasted like it had a touch too much soy sauce. Finally, the Chicken Fried Rice wasn’t too oily, a plus, however it was a little on the bland side. All in all this experience was extremely poor, however I got this winner of a fortune, from my fortune cookie: «Only listen to fortune cookie, disregard all other fortune telling units.»

This place is great! It is affordable, delicious and in an easy location. They will validate parking so you do not have to look for parking or pay. This is my go to play when I am sick I get the hot and sour soup with pork fried rice. The orange chicken seems to be the classic sweet lightly fried chicken pieces. I am getting the wor wonton soup for the first time and I know it is going to be delicious. It is a real mom and pop place the owners are the servers and they really do a great job. They even serve your soup for you talk about feeling high class. Every time I order for pickup my food is ready in less than 10 min.

I came to Uncle Wings restaurant to order a nice lunch for my friends and myself. I placed a to-go order and took a seat to wait. My seat had a view into the kitchen, so I sat and watched. I was pretty horrified by what I saw, it was pretty much stereotypical«Chinese restaurant» which horrifies me. By the time my food was ready I was not in the mood to eat. I was also asked if I needed utensils, and I said yes but sadly when I had already left & driven away I noticed they had only given me ONE fork and NO napkins &NO spoons for the soup I had ordered. The food itself did not impress my friends or I in any way.

Everything is fried and they don’t tell you on their menu. In addition it’s greasy and not very flavorful at all. Avoid, there are better Chinese restaurants in Marin

Tried this place for lunch this week. I had the beef chow fun dry style. The serving size was OK but the flavor was flat. What was unusual and made this dish such a low rating was that there was cabbage in this dish. When you have this dish at a Cantonese restaurant it does NOT have cabbage in it. I don’t know where that came from. Also this dish did not have the traditional required wok aroma. Chinese people will know what this is. The table next to me had the lunch special but could not have white rice. What Chinese restaurant cannot have white rice? To give them a break, I will give them one more chance in the near future.

What do you do when you have 20+ people to feed the night before your wedding and you didn’t really schedule a rehersal dinner because you didn’t anticipate that there will be so many people or need a rehersal? People still need to get fed right? You look around for a restaurant that will accomodate you and pray that it doesn’t costs you too much money. And Uncle Wing’s answered our prayer. Ambience: It’s a typical chinese restaurant, although not too shabby as they have a nice enough room and table to accomodate 20+ people. Food: Being that there are tons of Chinese restaurants in SF, Los Angeles, and New York, my taste buds are a little bias, but given the quality, it’s not too shabby. Food was tasty! Service: I think the service here was awesome. I did not expect much, but the owner was super friendly, accomodating, and really made us feel welcome. All in all, I wouldn’t hesitat to book them again if I am somehow in San Rafael for another group dinner. Tip: We wanted to order the Peking Duck for our guests, but we couldn’t because we didn’t book a day in advance. So if you want peking duck, make sure you book one day earlier. Unfortunately for us, we booked the afternoon of the actual dinner. Bummer, but the owner suggested roast duck to us instead and it was a hit with our out-of-town guests. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Meh… ordered the appetizer combo, hot an sour soup and combo fried rice. First the appetizer did not come with any sauce so it was boring bland fried stuff. 1⁄5 stars. The hot and sour soup lacked basic hot or sour flavor 1⁄5 stars. Oh and they didn’t give me any soy sauce so no additional flavor there. Last was the fried rice. This actually was edible and I did have siracha so those went well together. 3⁄5. Overall very dissapointing.

I love the food, service, and price! Could be made better but I’d say 4 stars overall. We are a Yet Wah family but you get more meat in dishes over here and its cheaper.

Just had take out– the chicken with vegetables and broccoli with lamb. It was light, fresh and cooked to a perfect crispness. The portions were large for the price. Overall it was a decent meal and I didn’t have to cook. Both dishes were extremely plain. They lacked flavor and complexity. I will try this place again because of the pros mentioned above, but if the dishes I order are again blasé it will be my last meal here. There are just too many tasty options out there to eat dull dinners.

Combination egg foo young — Conld not find any meat and was very greasy Won ton soup — Broth tasteless Mongolian lamb — Should have been called Mongolian onion. Tons of regular and green onions, very little lamb and it was tough. Very little Mongolian taste Very disappointing Not sure why this place is still in business with the poor preparation of dishes.

It was cold the other night and I was walking by Uncle wings. I’ve never been in there before. And so it was one thing that I had in mind that I wanted. Hot soup. On a cold night soup is so good. But I’m always worried when I go to a Chinese restaurant that I’ll be disappointed by the hot and sour soup. But I’m always looking for a place that makes a good one that I’ll remember. Uncle wings did a great job on the hot and sour soup and I will definitely go back again. I don’t know why they’re such a great variance on the hot and sour soup from one restaurant to another it would seem that the recipe would be fairly simple and consistent. But it does very like night and day. I was very happy to find this place. Judging from the food that was delivered to the other tables it looks very impressive I will return.

I will just start by saying that this business is 8 minutes from the point of delivery, and yet they were 30 minutes late. We barely even had time to eat because we had to go back to work. The food wasn’t too bad. The hot & sour soup wasn’t hot or spicy, though. Small portions for lunch special. Mongolian chicken was also not spicy. Probably won’t be coming back.

Randomly picked when I was looking for dinner in a strange town. On the specials list was something I’d never seen before: Mongolian three-delight. I’m familiar with Kung Pao three-delight, but this was new. As Mongolian, it was unusually light-sauced, but tasty, and just full of delicious onions and scallions, so they did know what they were doing. A decent amount of tender beef, a more than adequacy of large shrimp, and lots of sliced chicken made the three delights. I was very satisfied, even though I was the only customer at 5 pm on a Sunday.
