If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. We buy coldstone a lot and have a long history frequenting various locations. This location is consistently AWFUL. Their service and employees are deplorable, they have no air conditioning so all the ice cream is totally melted, and they often run out of ice cream and toppings. Every time I go to this location they do a terrible job and under deliver. They even sold us a cake 1 month past its expiration date! We didn’t know until we got home and ate it, and the cake was majorly freezer burned and tasted so gross. DONOTVISITTHISLOCATION. Drive to Danville– so worth the extra two miles!

Visited today. Prior to visiting the store, I looked at the menu online, so I would know what to order when I got there. Gave this 2 stars, because the ice cream was good. Things I didn’t like: 1) Ordered ‘Birthday Cake Remix’. In the middle of making the ice cream, I was informed they were out of fudge, which is one of the ingredients, so I had to select another sauce. It would have been nice if a sign was posted as you entered, stating this, so you didn’t have to wait in line for 15 min. before finding out(They were also out of marshmallows, but at least had a sign stating this). BETTERYET, the supervisor/manager should monitor the ingredients to ensure they don’t run it. Granted, it was a hot day, but you need to take that into account when running a business. 2) For my second order, I ordered a ‘Banana Split Decision’. The server responded that she didn’t know what that was. I said it’s a sundae. She said they don’t make sundaes. I responded — it’s ice cream, sauce, banana, whipped cream, nuts and a cherry. I told her its on their website and proceeded to look it up on my phone and show her. She proceeded to make it, asking me what ingredients should go into it. 3) The place was filthy. As I stood at the register to pay, I was afraid to put my wallet or keys on the counter, because there was fudge sauce all over it. Final thoughts… Their ice cream is expensive, but I don’t mind paying for good food and service, this however was very disappointing. I think I will take another reviewers advice and go to the Danville location next time, even though the San Ramon location is closer. It takes time to log in and leave a review, so I hope the owners see this and realize that people usually only do so, when they get superior service or extremely poor service. These issues are easily correctable — I hope they do so!

Located in a nice plaza with plenty of shops around! There’s plenty of parking around too. There are plenty of delicious flavors but there were a few things I did not like: — the ice cream was slightly melting. It was a hot day(~90 degrees when I went) but I expected the ice cream to at least not be melting by the time they handed my ice cream to me — waffle cones are limited quantity per day. The group ahead of me ordered all the waffle cones :(sad face! Overall it is still a great place to get ice cream. I enjoyed my Founder’s Favorite Signature Flavor ice cream very much, but I wouldn’t say coldstone is my go-to ice cream place.

The service at this Cold stone Creamery is super slow. Please add more staff or have one dedicated employee operating the register in order to move the line along more quickly. It takes so long to mix your ice cream now, by the time you pay it’s almost melted. If I wanted a milkshake I would have gone somewhere else. Next time you want Cold Stone goto the one in either Danville or Dublin. If you have to pay the same price, might as well get better service.

The employee, «Prince», tried to give me a 32oz. container filled with ~26oz. of cold cream. He was not at all helpful but did actually pack in the product somewhat after I pointed out all of the air amongst the few scoops he had placed inside. The stuff sold here isn’t inexpensive for what it is – so I expect what I pay for, and a more helpful service experience could do some good at this location.

How can you go wrong with ice cream? Small store with only two tables. Pleasant service. Wish they still offered white chocolate ice cream.

Terrible service! Lazy, impatient &RUDE one person staff today when I went in. She was very short. I asked for a number of items(churros) and was told simply that«they were out» so I had to choose two different flavors. She forgot to put the cheesecake in my Strawberry cheesecake ice cream and to top it off, the ice cream was served in a stale cone –_– not to mention the place was a mess! If there is no variety available, at least be polite!

One of the work ColdStone. Mr Manager Angelo did not even bother to mix it. He took ice cream and threw some chocolate on top of mint. One in Dublin hacienda is so much better.

If you are an impatient person save yourself aggravation. The staff was lazy, miserable, and slow. I hope they were all new hires because they didn’t know anything on the menu. Kinda rude and honestly the ice cream used to be better unless they somehow managed to make even the ice cream taste bad. Being said had to give 2 stars because at least the girl that helped my friend was friendly Will not be coming back

It’s a nice summer’s day and we gave the kids a choice of Baskin Robbins or Cold Stone. They all wanted Cold Stone for the Shark Week Sundae. Big mistake. Imagine their disappointment when they pointed to the Shark Week Sundae banner displayed prominently, and were told the store was out of the stuff to make it. Imagine our disappointment when we were told the waffle machine wasn’t working and there were no waffle cones. Imagine our disappointment when we were told there were no sugar comes. What kind of ice cream store runs out of cones? They could’ve run across the parking lot and bought cones from Nob Hill!!! And isn’t tomorrow National Ice Cream Day? GOODLUCK with all that!!!

HORRIBLESERVICE, INCOMPETENTSANRAMONFRANCHISE. Ordered Mothers Day cake online, order confirmed for pickup. Called day of to make sure had it, no answer. Went there and closed for remodeling. Way to make a great mother I was buying the cake for feel special. NEVER will buy any Coldstone anywhere again. I am in the customer service industry and am speaking in a seminar series and this will be my example of what NOT to do!

I ordered a german chocolate cake ice cream cake for my wife’s birthday since she likes it a lot but found that it was a regular chocolate ice cream cake. It had no pecans and not even the taste was like german chocolate cake ice cream. Terrible surprise by Coldstone San Ramon on a great day.

Horrible service!!! We ordered a birthday cake for our two year old daughters party and requested cake batter confetti but instead got coffee cake for a toddlers party! When my husband informed someone at the store they said for us to come in and they would replace it. We came in to pick up the cake batter confetti cake promised to us and the male who was working tonight was not only rude to us but basically threw the cake at us and waved us out of the store with no apologies for their mistake. When we asked for his name he refused to give it. We obviously didn’t want to serve coffee cake to toddlers and when the mistake was made I expect more than a cake thrown at me. Last time ever coming her for a cake or anything.

This morning we took our granddaughter out for dim sum at Saigon Seafood Harbor, then brought her back home afterward. A conversation about Alan eating ice cream following doctor’s orders led to a trip to this Cold Stone Creamery. Ilana was astonished that neither of us had ever been to one and she has never known Alan to eat ice cream. When it comes to ice cream, I’m pretty easy to please. All it has to be is the darkest chocolate and not too sweet. Fancy flavors are wasted on me. Because we were novices we asked Ilana to go first and she did, choosing banana ice cream w/a Reese’s Peanut Butter cup. That wasn’t so difficult. So I chose the darkest chocolate(it was called something like cake batter and had peppermint mixed in) and had an Oreo cookie mashed into it. The young woman who helped us was patient and pleasant. Alan chose what looked like vanilla w/chocolate flecks and I think he chose a peanut butter cup too. We all had the small size. Alan thought his was too sweet. Ilana was pleased w/hers and I was pleased w/mine. The chocolate wasn’t quite as rich as I like, but it was good and the peppermint was subtle. I liked the crunch the Oreo added. As far as I’m concerned it was A-OK.

Website says open until 9:30pm on Wednesdays. Sign on store front says otherwise. They didn’t answer their phone either. When we got there, at 9:10 someone was inside and went to the back as we walked up but doors were locked. 0 stars for just blah. Coldstone fix your website!

In general Cold Stone isn’t one of my favorite ice cream places these days, I don’t know if they’ve generally lowered the temperature of their chilled preparation counters of have warmed up the ice cream to make it easer to work but everything we get seems to be in a general state of melt, even on cold days. That said the ice cream is of good quality and they make some fantastic mixes(my fav is the peanut butter cup perfection but I have them use coffee ice cream instead of chocolate). We’ve used them for a few ice cream cakes and they do a better job than BR31, but again you have to watch out for the softness of the ice cream. Their layer cake is far superior to what you get from BR as well as what we get from Lucky. Unlike BR you shouldn’t let it warm up a bit before serving, they soften up really quickly. We just had a large chocolate chip cookie dough cake this weekend for my daughter and they had huge chunks of dough on top, I liked that detail. They don’t skimp on the stuff they add. There are two Cold Stone stores within a reasonable drive of my home and this is my preferred of the two. About half of the staff here seem friendly though they don’t always deal with the stress of a large crowd. The site is accessible and though parking can be a bit hard to get on busy days you can always find a spot somewhere in the lot.

This is a very small coldstone with very little seating inside, however they have a couple tables outside. You can also sit on the cemented area by the water fountains. Nothing special, however I do love the fact that they never say anything about you having your dog outside. Some businesses don’t allow it but they don’t say anything. The staff is friendly and the establishment is always clean.

Went to visit this place again after swim practice! The workers there seemed a bit amateur because they were frazzled over our orders. One of the girls that worked there used an ice cream scoop to scoop up the chocolate chips and it all got in there so they had to bring out another container of chocolate chips haha. It was honestly so hot in there that the chocolate shavings that they had were practically melted and were sticking to the scooper. I got the hot lava cake hot stone and it was a bit disappointing :(It was waaaayyy too light for me and I would’ve preferred if it was denser in texture. The employee there gave us a teeeeny scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of it which was not at all satisfying. The workers there in general seemed like in a bit of a hurry. I recommend the Brownie a la Cold Stone instead!

We realized years ago that 1) the quality of Cold Stone Ice Cream was sub-par 2) it was overpriced. We haven’t been to a Cold Stone in years. Queue the children. It’s hard to walk past one without being barraged with requests for ice cream. We finally caved in after eating dinner in this shopping center one evening and ordered ice cream for our two kids. Only had a couple of licks of my daughter’s cone to prevent it from dripping down and making a big mess(at 2.5 she hasn’t mastered the art of eating ice cream yet). Just as processed tasting and nasty as I remembered it. The ice cream from even Baskin Robbins is so much better. More overpriced than ever. I don’t get it.

I’ve been riding the ice cream train all summer long. Tonight was no exception. I was in the neighborhood and stopped by for an ice cream cone around 9pm. The line was out the door but moved very quickly. Wait time was only about 10 minutes. There were 3 employees inside taking orders, scooping, mixing-in and 1 cashier. They sang when customers put money in the tip jar. Customer service was fine today contrary to the other reviews. I’m always down for something chocolatey so I got the chocolate ice cream with strawberries. I also chose the kid’s size which was an ample scoop. Had to get the cone as well. My ice cream actually started melting quickly so I had to consume it quicker. Still hit the spot. Bf got the«Like it» scoop size which is the size after the kid’s scoop. He had the mango sorbet in a cup which was very light and filled with natural mango flavor. The sorbets are a great alternative for those counting calories. Good night for some Cold Stones in SR!
