This place is a rip off !! don’t come here. they charged $ 205 to «establish a relationship» when i specifically ask for a physical. all they did for me was ask some stupid questions for 10 mins and they didn’t even touch me. and that was after 35 mins wait. the staff was rude, the doc by the name judy can’t answer any of my questions without pulling out her phone.

Have been to his office on 4 occasions over the past 8 months. I have never actually seen the doctor, as he is never there, so cant really comment about him, but can comment about the rest of the practice and the staff.
My complaints are as follows:
Every visit I wait no less than 30 minutes in the waiting room, and another 20 minutes in the exam room, despite arriving early or on time for my appointment.
Every visit, there are entirely new staff members and nurse practitioners who seem not to know what is going on. Being as they are new, they are not comfortable with making any changes to your medication, since they are not familiar with your case. (Logic would indicate that if my last 3 blood tests showed lower & ‘normal’ cholesterol levels, that a lower dose of medication was called for, why keep me on a high dose medication when I am not high risk??)
Again, Dr turns might be good, but apparently he doesn’t see his patients.

John Turns is the best!
I have gone to Doc Turns a few times this year. He quickly puts you at easy with his bedside manner. Doc Turns is a compassionate doctor who can spend a few minutes with you and quickly identify the problem. He has a great network of premier specialists. If he cant fix the problem he will refer you to a specialist who can.
If you live in the east bay, Doc Turns should be your doc.

I was a patient of Dr. Turns for about 5 years while living in the East Bay. He was always very helpful and considerate to me and very thorough especially with the cardiac aspects of my health. He was supportive and kind when I had to take a health leave of absence from work. His bedside manner is wonderful and if I still lived in the area he would still be my doctor. Occasionally his staff were not «being all they could be» but Dr. Turns was always tops.
