I’ve come here a good handful of times, mainly because my team loves Mr. Pickles! It’s our kind of, go to team lunch place. I’m definitely not complaining because I absolutely love sandwiches. HOWITWORKS: You line up and tell the person your order and as you move down the line you pay. You get a free cookie with At this location there are about 4 wooden booth tables, but tables usually open up. :)

What a great sandwich shop! A friend told me about this place and I was super impressed! My sandwich was made to order, everything was fresh and the guy making it was fast but made an amazing sandwich! The bread was warm and soft, homemade tasting. I loved it. I’m taking off one star because the older lady that was working there(not sure if she was the owner) but she was very unfriendly. Just think how much better this already great place would be with a little more of a friendly attitude? Remember the people that spend money at your business are the ones that keep you open, I’m just saying…

Second and last visit. Yesterday the cashier was rude. No «thank you» after my order. Didn’t ask if I wanted a drink. Just gave me a frown and plopped down a little package with a cookie. Guess she was having a bad day. Turkey sandwich was decent but the experience was a downer and I won’t return.

I’m embarrassed to say I do not remember the name of the delicious sandwich I got, but I got it on dutch crunch and asked for it toasted and it was AMAZING! They can make the sandwiches to order or you can pick one of their specials. This is definitely a great place to come when you’re craving a sandwich!

I seriously come here like every week, and its really becoming a problem! I love their sandwiches! Oh and Salads! The best part is that they’re quick, and fast no matter if its peak or not peak hours. They have really good food. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff is nice!

Such good sandwiches. So many options and ways to customize. Really good bread. You need good bread to make a good sandwiches. Also really good cheese and meats. This place will always be my favorite sandwich place, love you guys so much!

I found Mr. Pickle when I was looking for a sandwich shop nearby work. This definitely hit the spot! I really enjoy the Mr. Pickle on dutch crunch. The sandwiches are made to order, so if you are there during the lunch rush, expect a line. You order at the counter they prepare your sandwich right there. Even with a long line, it doesn’t take too long to get your sandwich. The cashier is ready for you to pay and prepares either your to-go bag or basket before your sandwich is ready for you. The sandwich is always really good. I love the dutch crunch roll and it is toasted just enough. There’s plenty of avocado and the cheese is melted nicely. I usually get chips with my sandwich, so I usually only eat half the sandwich. Although, I’m sure most would eat the whole thing. It’s always very filling for me though. Plus you get a chocolate chip cookie with your sandwich as well. Staff has always been nice to me. I recommend getting there early to beat the lunch crowd; the parking lot is packed and there is currently construction going on, so less parking is available.

I like their sandwich. I’ve been here a few times and would go again. I prefers Mr. Pickles than Subways.

My wife just picked up lunch. We started eating our sandwiches and mine is made wrong even though she told them exactly what to put on it. She said no peperchinis and they put them on any way. If you’re not going to listen to how your customer wants their sandwich, then why ask at all? I have severe digestive problems and never ever eat peppers. Her sandwich is halfway decent. The only Mr Pickles worth eating at in the area are in Livermore, Dublin, Pleasanton and Antioch.

So my co-worker told me to try out a mexican restaurant in this area, that mexican restaurant was closed :(so i ended up here at Mr. Pickles. First off, parking is horrendous in this center. Also, this shop is small with limited seating and feels very cramped/claustrophobic. The line went fairly fast though — the workers rush through and i really didn’t even get a chance to read the menu as it’s far away from the end of the line and once you get up there it’s like a nascar race to finish your sandwich. I got a turkey sandwich w/jalapenos and«everything» on dutch crunch. And they aren’t lying about the crunch part. Holy crap that sandwich was painful to eat. The top of the bread is super hard and now my mouth hurts. the flavor of the sandwich was good overall. Maybe next time I’ll try different bread and bring my review up a star.

I really enjoy Mr. Pickles, but not when they forget my pickle! But anyways I always go for the Reuben! It’s delicious and you can’t go wrong! They are priced at about 7 – 8 bucks per sandwich which isn’t too unreasonable. And they always throw in a free cookie! I also have heard the big jake is pretty tasty with cream cheese, but I prefer my usual! The lines can get pretty long, but they can get your sandwich done pretty fast! Parking isn’t bad either!

Today was my first and last visit. Poor customer service and below average BLAT(bacon, lettuce, avocado tomato on whole wheat). Customer Service: no stars — the guy that made my sandwich thought it worthy of ridicule that I didn’t know the Mr Pickles proper procedure for water purchase. I simply asked him for the water that I paid for when he handed over the sandwich. He made a sarcastic, eye rolling face and had a good chuckle with the yahoo behind me because I was unaware that I needed to pick up the water from the refrigerator. Stupid behavior. They do not respect their customers. Sandwich: 2 stars for the BLAT that comes with 3 slices of bread, an overwhelming amount of lettuce and only a couple of very thin slices of bacon. I think the abundance of shredded lettuce is to make the sandwich appear to be large and worth $ 8.29. It is not. I had to pull off most of the bread in order to have a decent bread to bacon ratio. Not tasty and a big mess. Most of the sandwich ended up in the trash. The bread was good but there was way to much for the amount of bacon.

Had the Ruben sandwich which was delicious. My girlfriend had the Regie Regie which was super tastey. First time there and will definitely go back to try others on the menu.

On Saturday, 11÷15÷14, I decided to get a sandwich from Mr. Pickles. My Mom bought me a gift card for Mr. Pickles so I thought it would have been a win win situation. Little did I know that this sandwich was going to be not so good. Atmosphere/Décor: This Mr. Pickles is located in a shopping center next to a Panda Express and Jamba Juice. Mr. Pickles is a very small sandwich place. There were about 6 tables inside and 1 table outside. It reminded me of your typical togos or subway sandwich shop. Food: I really like hot pastrami so I decided to go with the HANGLOOSE(Hot Pastrami, Bacon, Cream Cheese, Avocado) on a sweet roll with lettuce, mayo, garlic spread, pickles and onions. The hot pastrami tasted horrible! It had a weird taste to it and smelt old. I gave my girlfriend a bite of my sandwich and she said the hot pastrami tasted like lunch meat. That’s not a good thing or a compliment! I noticed that my sandwich did not have bacon in it. I don’t understand how you leave the bacon out when the sandwich is supposed to come with bacon. The sweet roll was soft but tasted like basic bread. I’ve been to some good sandwich places where the bread literally makes the sandwich. This wasn’t the case at Mr. Pickles. One more thing. To be named Mr. Pickles you would think their pickles would taste good. Let me just say that the pickles tasted watered down and had no flavor what so ever. Service: The guy that made my sandwich was nice. I received my sandwich within a few minutes. When I got home I noticed my sandwich was unevenly cut. One side was literally about 4 inches longer than the other side. Attention to detail in cutting a sandwich evenly was avoided at all costs when they made my sandwich. Overall: I have 21 bucks left on my gift card and I’m thinking if I should even give Mr. Pickles a second chance since the HANGLOOSE didn’t taste good at all and it was clearly a LOOSE disaster! Maybe sometime down the road I might try a basic ham and cheese sandwich from Mr. Pickles to see if it actually tastes better than the HANGLOOSE I tried. I definitely won’t be going back anytime soon though and if I didn’t have a gift card for Mr. Pickles I would never go back. If you’re in the mood for a sandwich I would avoid going to Mr. Pickles. Make a trip over to Danville and hit up Ike’s or Domenico’s.

I must be on a deli roll here. This summer, I’ve eaten at four sandwich shops, and it would have been five if I had followed through on my plans to get a big one before hiking to the Bridge To Nowhere. Seeing that I don’t eat out much, and it’s usually burgers when I do, this is saying a lot. So I have quite a bit to compare Mr. Pickles to. It was my coworker’s idea. We’d helped each other a lot over the last year, so I’ll buy her lunch and she’ll buy me lunch. She suggested Mr. Pickles. Said that the sandwiches are too big for her to finish in one sitting. Being on a seefood diet, that perked my interest. Good-sized menu with normal prices. I got the house special, which that day was a meat-filled concoction(ham, turkey, salami, probably some other things). It was smaller than other sandwiches that I’ve had, so it was quite easy for me to get down. Not so much sauce that it smothered the taste out of everything else, good thing. But, well, I don’t know, it just didn’t strike me as a blow your tastes buds away, start the drool going, incredible feast, or even«wow, this is pretty good!» It was just like Unilocal describes its 3-star: A-OK. My coworker recommends the tuna. If that strikes your fancy more than Carl’s Jr., the Cheese Steak Shop, or any of the numerous pizza places in this shopping center, then cool beans. Mr. Pickle’s is certainly not bad, it’s good, but for me, it’s second to my beloved Cheese Steak Shop. And Round Table with its pizza buffet at lunch also calls out my name. But Mr. Pickles is fine.

I typically save a trip to Mr. Pickles on a day where I am completely starving. Their sandwich rolls are HUGE and because they post all calorie counts, I learned that a Dutch Crunch sub-size roll is 410 calories… Something I probably could have happily gone on my way without knowing. THAT being said, I am still a fan-their Dutch Crunch is a great soft on the inside, but perfect crunch on the outside texture. You can opt for a make your own sandwich or select one of their pre-determined options. For vegetarians they have a roasted pepper and hummus concoction but I typically will just build my own, go easy on the condiments and pile on the veggies with some avocado. Their veggies are fresh and crisp and their fresh avocado is ripe and creamy. Overall, it’s a pretty no frills sandwich at a decent price. Seating inside is a bit cramped, so I order it to go. The line can build up during lunch time, but they move it a long quickly. Service runs from borderline disinterested to downright surly. It’s not gourmet, it’s not innovative, but when you want a more substantial sandwich with superior bread, Mr. Pickles definitely beats out other more well known chains. Free chocolate chip cookie with each sandwich, which I’ve sadly had to skip, considering those Dutch Crunch calories. Reliable and perfectly ok lunch spot in a busy San Ramon shopping center. Ample parking, decent sized menu. It’ll do just fine for a weekday lunch excursion

Sure it gets busy. Sure it’s kind of small. Sure parking sucks. But man, any of the sandwiches on Dutch crunch will make you a very happy camper. I have come to this location multiple times in the same week because my wife just loves the sandwiches. I think U saw some Dutch crunch bread at safeway, but I think I would rather have a quality sandwhich from Mr Pickles than try it on my own.

Mr. Pickles lost a customer today. Check out the pathetic sandwich picture posted, it was mine. I could not have been more disappointed with a turkey sandwich. I asked for a turkey sandwich with all veggies minus anything spicy and when I got Home I found out I had paid for two soggy pickles, 2 slices of Turkey and 2 half shaves of onion. Thank god for the tomato slice… Moral of the story watch your sandwich maker and avoid Jessica. She should have never been hired as a sandwich maker.
