Quite possibly the worst place to recycle in the East Bay. Rude attendants who could care less about anything. Forget looking at the hours posted, that doesn’t mean a thing to these jerks. They have great excuses for pushing you away, and are only too happy to close early and take long breaks.

Contrary to other reviewers here, I differ on the opinion. I have had good and bad experiences. It totally depends on the person who is there but the facility is not that bad. First things first, the center is pretty small still they never turn back anybody. I agree that the people working there could do for some needed people skills. I bet they could improve upon the facility but not sure if the corporate want to do that as the demand is still there.

It is definitely worth the drive to anywhere else. They close early, open late, and yeah — the attendant is rude, surly and just a jerk. I have arrived several times to him«closing up» very much early and he yells across the parking lot«CLOSED»(not even«we’re closed», let alone«Sorry we’re closed». When asked when he closes, he tells me — and it is always well before that time. He then says when he will reopen and he has never been less than 20 minutes late. If this company wants my business, they will have to either teach this jerk how to read a clock and how to be polite, or fire him.

What a disappointment. The first time I tried to bring my beverage containers in to be recycled, I showed up 30 minutes before their published closing time of 4:30PM on a Monday. When I asked the attendant(who, quite frankly, had the customer service skills of Oscar the Grouch) where to begin unloading the containers, he told me he was closed. When I mentioned that the company website stated that the station would not be closed until 4:30, his response was, «well, it’s close enough to closing time and my voucher printer is out of ink.» Strike 1. Today, Monday, I attempted for the second time to bring my beverage containers to this station to get recycled. The website clearly stated this morning that the station would be open Friday — Tuesday, 10:00AM — 1:00PM, and then again from 1:30PM — 4:30PM. As I pulled up at 11:40AM, the station was shut tight and closed. I looked up the company phone number and spoke to the area manager, who politely informed me that my area station’s new open days are now Tuesday — Saturday. When was this effective? Yep — today, with no notice on the website stating as much. Strike 2. Not going to set myself up for Strike 3. There are farther, less convenient locations that offer better container recycling rates, and I’ll be seeking these out rather than patronize this company.
