I grew up in NYC and grew up eating rye bread from the bakery… yum. So when I left the city for more rural areas 30 years ago I realized how fortunate I was to have so much excellent food surrounding me because I couldn’t find certain things like edible bagels, bialys, pizza and rye bread UNTIL … I went to the Tilton Winter Farmer’s Market and tried a sample of Bread Peddler rye. YUM. I had almost forgotten wht good rye tastes like. His other breads are fabulous too and my friends all have their favorites… go try it. He’s at a bunch of markets this summer including Canterbury on Wednesday and Tilton on Friday.
