This place is awesome!!! From the appetizers to entrees everything was great. I would highly recommend The Perfect Pair. All the seafood was cooked perfectly!

Way overpriced and didn’t even have local fish. It also smelled. I would not recommend.

It is part Landry’s chain. Service is decent and food is average at best. I had a piece of dried out fish they called grouper.

Very pleased with our choice to bring our friends here for my birthday! Hunter, our server, was the bomb. He was amused by our sense of humor, which only enhanced our great dining experience. They got us in for a late reservation, and our table was available right on time. Everything from drinks, to apps, entrees, and desserts were wonderful! I had the pineapple coconut mojito, crab/spinach/artichoke dip & the Perfect Pair! I also tried the lobster bisque, Cobia Oscar, and the Filet Mignon Oscar. Besides everything being so wonderful, we are Landry’s Select Club Members, so we get the bonus of receiving awesome benefits!(Sign up, it’s so worth it, and pays for itself!) we’ll definitely be back!

I had the fish and chips. A generous serving with Cole slaw and hush puppies along with the chips. Going back today for the fried shrimp. A very courteous staff. I will definitely keep returning.

Oysters were phenomenal. I will definitely recommend this place when you visit Destin! Service was good too. Our server gave us many different options and also explained their menu!

We had a bad experience the last time we came here but someone in our group insisted we try it again. Bad move! Our waiter was rude and acted put out if we asked him for anything. Our food was mediocre at best. Several ordered the daily special of crab stuffed flounder. It was fine but nothing to write home about! Will tell anyone in our party who suggests this place to go eat alone!

Excellent food. Great service. We had a party of four, although they were crowded we were seated quickly. Our server was great. He provided perfect drink recommendations. I had the shrimp and lobster stuffed halibut. Perfectly prepared. Good portion size. We will definitely be back.

Great food. worst service. Our water seemed very annoyed when we asked for anything. Had to go to bar to get our own lemons for tea.

Best lobster bisque in the whole town. Mimosas are good too. Ahi tuna was spectacular. Very good

The only reason this gets 3 stars is because the service was fantastic. I’m not the type to be very particular requesting numerous different Subs Etc… But this server took care of us as if we were the most important people in the world. I was very under impressed with the calamari it was honestly not even breaded it was just fried pieces of squid which is never very tasteful… and honestly the dipping sauce that they serve with the dish is far from impressive. However, our server did accommodate us with some marinara, since I am italian, that made me feel better; calamari was very unimpressive.. The fish we ordered, blackened grouper for my wife and grilled cod for myself was lacking. I have been cooking my whole entire life as either a professional or a home cook, and I could make these fish dishes in my sleep. Lobster bisque tasted like butter and tomato sauce which is odd to me but I guess I’m just used to getting lobster bisque that tastes like lobster; or at least lobster stock. I’m not saying avoid this place because they do have a good menu and they know how to cook, I’ve been there many times and this is the first time that I was genuinely let down… If you’re in town for spring break make sure you stop by if you’re a local then you know already what they are bringing to the table. Again fantastic service I could not request better service if I had to pay for it specifically or outsourced to India or something attempting to be clever like that LOL! Just give it a try and make up your own mind $

Mitchell’s is an upscale seafood restaurant located in the Grand Boulevard Shopping Center in Miramar Beach. This is not one of the on the beach type of seafood restaurants specializing in fried food. There is an excellent selection of fish served in different styles and with different sauces to appeal to the taste of almost any diner. For example, the«Shang Hai» style of fish is steamed with ginger and scallions and served with rice, spinach and with a rice wine soy sauce. The flavor is outstanding. The fish is fresh and the menu tells diners about the source of the fish. The menu changes daily. This is hard to beat. There are several options for oysters as well. More recently, for lunch I ordered a cup of the clam chowder and followed with a tuna melt sandwich. My dining companion had the lobster bisque and a salad. The server was pleasant, prompt and made sure the orders were correct. The food was excellent and the atmosphere is pleasant with an option for outdoor dining as well as the bar and the main dining room. For dessert, try the carrot cake. The piece of cake is way too much for one person. In fact, it is too much for two people unless they are very hungry and seeking a sugar high. But, regardless of the size, it is excellent.

Went here for happy hour an the bar area was packed, but there was no one in the dinning room. They offer a few draft beers at $ 3.50, and a selection of mixed drinks at $ 5. Five or 6 choices are available on the happy hour menu. The fish sandwich was very good as was the shrimp potsticks.

I came here a few years ago(was living in Chicago at the time) and I to this day cannot remember what entrée I had because the lobster bisque was absolutely outstanding. I’m out here now only for a few days for business and had to come back and have it again. I’ve yet to find a place that makes a lobster bisque this good(now live in San Jose). So I took a co worker of mine here and had the lobster bisque, the filet mignon and a lobster tail. Wow. Just like I remember the bisque and the rest of the meal was just as fantastic. If your staying in the Destin area, I would definitely recommend this place. So good.

Confusion-our party of six had our order in before a party of sixteen and they kept mixing our orders up. One in our party had their shrimp cocktail delivered to the other table and then I got my bowl of clam chowder. When everyone else got their clam chowder it appeared that mine was a cup size as I was served ½ a bowl and the others a fuller bowl. One in our party ordered a cup but received a bowl. I only ordered a bowl of chowder because I wanted dessert and we already had appetizers at a friends prior to dinner. The clam chowder was very good. But, three of us ordered chowder for a main course and we had it served and finished before the others got their entrée. Our reservations were for 7 pm and the entrees arrived at 8:12 pm. While they were eating their entrees we were asked if we wanted our desserts. When the shark fin dessert arrived it was melting so it must have been sitting there for a while. Hmmm, I guess we messed them up ordering that way even though we stated we wanted our chowder and shrimp cocktail as our entrée. My husband“s ice tea was replenished. I had to ask for a refill on my unsweetened tea and I got a sweetened tea so I had to try again. This included sea bass Singapore, regular and chicken Parmesan. Now for the dessert. We ate until it hurt. 9:00 pm and still waiting for our bill. Once again the large party that came in behind us was taken care of. After asking again for our bill my husband went to the register to ask if someone could take our bill payment. A manager came back and took care of collecting our payment. 9:30 we were on our way out. The 3 star represents the poor service. The server was friendly, just overwhelmed. It was the worst service we have ever had here but it won’t stop us from coming back because the food is awesome.

My family and I booked a reservation for Christmas Eve. We arrived early for our reservation so we went to the bar for happy hour. We ordered calamari, wine and a martini and were served quickly but the waiter didn’t give us silver wear or plates to eat with. We had to call him over and ask for plates and silver wear. We then had to wave him over to ask for water refills and he said, «Would you like the check now so you don’t have to find me later.» Apparently our waiter thought we were to serve ourselves. It then took 15 minutes for him to retrieve our credit and Landry’s card and return the check. He was very untimely and discourteous throughout he service. I would say his name but he never introduced himself, I only know his name because the receipt said«Ian.» We then moved into the dining room for our reservation and waited 13 minutes for our waiter to even approach us but the only reason he did was because my mother notified the hostess we were waitor-less. While waiting we discovered our table was dirty and sticky, and the small plates sitting on the table had crumbs on them. We were about to walk out and go across the street to Tommy Bahama but the waiter appeared. We asked for the table to be cleaned and water to be poured but he used a dirty towel to clean the table and just in time the manager appeared and quickly got a clean towel to wipe the table. We then ordered a bottle of wine and the manger checked on us but our waiter didn’t. After a while our waiter came by and took our meal order. The lobster bisque and Cesar salad came out in a timely manner. The bisque was good but the salad was drowning in dressing. 30 minutes after ordering the manager asked if my father wanted to change from mashed potatoes to red skin potatoes, he said he would wait. Seconds later our dishes, seared tuna, shrimp scampi and grouper, were brought out and another waiter said the potatoes would be coming shortly. Shortly turned into 9 minutes later(see photo). My father tasted the potatoes and laughed. Apparently these famous potatoes we were waiting for came out so quickly that they forgot seasoning. Everyone at the table tasted them to check and there wasn’t even salt or pepper. They were cooked potatoes that were mashed and thrown into the bowl. Sad. As for the grouper dish, the side vegetables were cold, the fish was dry, the potatoes were late and unseasoned. The scampi was good, no complaints. The seared tuna and side sticky rice were cold. Even the sear was cold. Our guess was that the dishes were ready and waiting for a while on the unseasoned potatoes. We booked our family Christmas Eve dinner here because we had an excellent time at the Mitchell’s in Louisville, KY. Unfortunately the San Destin location we visited for our Christmas meal was beyond disappointing. We saw the manager more than the waiter and sat with empty water glasses most of the meal. We will never return to this location in Destin, and as a Landry’s Select Card Member we were extremely disappointed in the restaurant. As a general breakdown: Service –5k Food 2.5 Cleanliness –5 In the end the manager covered our crème brûlée and espresso. We were expecting the entire meal to be covered after that mess of a family Christmas Eve meal especially when the waiter, John said, «…this has been quite an adventure…»

It would be easier for them if you just went somewhere else… starting with the hostess who was overwhelmed by the empty lobby. The place was not even a third full all evening and yet I heard them tell people to expect a two hour wait… probably because the spirit of the staff was so low or they were stoned and unmotivated. It certainly could not have been an overwhelmed kitchen, because they barely cooked the food… never intended to eat sushi sea bass, but that is what my order turned out to be. The drinks are really watered down… the bartender was too busy flirting to prepare drinks and the waitress too busy watching the bartender. Save yourself the expensive comedy routine and eat almost anywhere else. So as we left this place… no one had found their food any good and we were all still hungry, so we went to Grimaldi’s for Pizza. What a difference! Glad to see us, bent over backwards to take care of us totally making up for our $ 200 plus mistake at Mitchell’s! The beer was cold, not having sat on the bar for 30 minutes waiting for the waitress, and the pizza delicious… this is the place to go!

We been having such horrible service everywhere we went in Destin. We was recommended to go here and did not regret it at all. Our service was superb, and this place was very welcoming. Food was very delicious and we had the best waitress, her name was Victoria, and she made our trip to Mitchell’s worthwhile, we had the following: — Crispy Calamari with Chili-soy dipping sauce — perfectly marinaded and battered, and went perfect with the delicious chili-soy dipping sauce — Chilean Sea Bass Shang Hai Style — Steamed with fresh ginger and scallion, soy-ponza sauce, sticky rice, sesame spinach — the fish was so delicious and light, and the Shang Hai Style was so perfect for this fish — Mahi Mahi Crispy Ginger Style — Ginger-panko crust, citrus-ginger butter sauce, sticky rice, stir-fried seasonal vegetables — the Crispy Ginger style was also very delicious — Sharkfin Pie — Butter fudge ice cream, honey roasted peanuts, fudge, peanut butter, and Oreo cookie crust — very huge, way too much for two people to share, it was very delicious and sweet We really enjoyed our visit to Mitchell’s and cannot wait to be back to eat here again!
