Love to eat at this place when I am in Sandpoint! A super friendly local place that is passionate about their pizza. They use high quality and fresh ingredients that they pile on the pizza. We ate at Second Avenue Pizza last night after a full day of skiing. It was my parents-in-law first time at Second Avenue Pizza. For the six of us I suggested one large pizza, which they thought we would need two. At most place two pizzas are needed for six. However, definitely not at Second Avenue Pizza. After ordering and attempting to eat two Caesar salads(they are large also) and one large pizza we had three sliced remaining. Dinner for six with drinks and salad was $ 54. What an awesome deal and really good pizza!

I live in Spokane and my parents love this place we decided to take a drive today. It was great food and service. The young kid that took our order was wonderful I asked what he recommended we ended up have the jukebox and it was great even took some home for dinner. I myself am a restaurant owner and know how hard it can be to have good food and good customer service and this place has both. Next time we in town will sure eat here again.

I was recommended this pizza place by a lady who used to live in Sandpoint. We were on vacation, staying in a Condo at Schweitzer. My brother drove down the mountain, to pick up the pizza. We ordered three large pizzas for our party of ten and that way way too much food! The pizzas are so huge that my sister in law had a hard time carrying all three pizzas up the stairs! Real food, that is really good!

As I was walking down the street on one of my many ventures I stumbled across this delicate yet effervescent eatery. So I walked in and ordered a calzone and a beer. After I sat down I took a sip of my beer which was so cold it literally made my member shrink. But luckily soon after they brought out the hot calzone. As I bit into the piping hot assortment of meat cheese and love I could feel my boys going back to their original shape and size. For that I am grateful. The food is delightful. The atmosphere is as lovely as it gets. I most def recommend this quaint little eatery for all who love cold beer and warm food.

A true sandpoint gem, very good pizza and service. Delivery was a little long but worth the wait.

We’ve been eating here for decades. The pizza is always fantastic. The service is always friendly and helpful. The pizzas are huge. Where my husband and I can easily devour a large from Domino’s and still be hungry, two pieces from a large Juke Box Special fills us both up. My favorites are the Schweitzer Ski Flake, Carolyn’s Special, and the Mexican pizza. They’re unique and delicious. Depending on when you go, the wait can be long, but it’s worth it. Just drink some beer or wine while you wait. :-) If you’re having pizza delivered, again, plan ahead because it can be a long wait. Sometimes, the middle can be soggy on delivered pizzas, but I’ve never had a soggy pizza in the restaurant. The crust is thick, so if you don’t love thick crust pizza, this may not be the place for you, but the crust is tasty and not doughy at all. They have the best gluten free pizza crust I have ever tasted, too! I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

We have been here several times over the years. The pizza is usually amazing. This time however, they really out did themselves. I accidentally ordered my pizza wrong. When the pizza came to our table I almost had a heart attack because it was covered with Canadian bacon and we are vegetarians. I talked to the lady at the counter to see what could be done about it… they took care of it without charging me! The mistake was mine and they didn’t need to make me a new pizza, but I am sure grateful they did. They gave us service above and beyond what we expected!

Such an amazing place. Don’t come in expecting to be done in 15 minutes. Quality takes time and they have the quality end down! Bring your appetite cause portions are not a problem. Best pie in north Idaho!!!

Small, quaint pizza joint in Sandpoint. A few of the reviews I read(prior to showing up here) talked about bad customer service and wait times. However, my relative(who is a local) swears by their pizza so we had to try it out. Customer service: didn’t have any problems. The counter staff was prompt, friendly, answered questions, and put up with some of our modifications without a problem. Wait: Wasn’t too bad really. Maybe it’s because I knew going in it might take a little longer than usual but we had our food in about 35 minutes. Pizza: Nothing to complain about. Ample amount of toppings, good sauce, even my picky kids had no problems to speak of. I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza and even had some for breakfast the next morning. Excellent experience all around and will be hitting them up when we’re in town again!

Excellent pizza at a great price. A family friendly unpretentious good old fashion pizzeria. Only complaint is each of 3 times I’ve gotten beer it was flat from their keg. However you just can’t beat the price and top quality of the pizza.

Good toppings, especially the sausage. Crust was not very tasty and didn’t really hold up to the amount of ingredients, got a little soggy. It takes a long time to get a pizza here. I seem to recall they had decent beer on tap, but can’t remember what it was. And I only had one:).

Terrible customer service! The lady taking the orders was flat out rude and made snide comments about how it’d take at least an hour and a half for a pizza. I’m not a pizza master but that seems like an awful long time!

I’d give this place 0 stars if that was possible, we were told an hour and a half wait for pizza? Are you freaking kidding me. So with that being said everyone who works there was flat out rude to my family and I. My girlfriend said she saw a bunch of the employees in the back on their cellphones/not working. We were told an hour for appetizers as well. On that note don’t waste your time or money here. Take your business down the street to Bab’s pizzeria, they welcomed us with amazing service and awesome pizza.

Good pizza but it takes a long time to eat so like a hour not 15 minutes. It’s very family-friendly.

You walk up and order at the counter then they give you a number, plate, silverware, etc. and you find a table. The young woman taking orders was really friendly and got my beer right away. I think over half the restaurant had Reserved signs on the tables, so I chose a spot around the corner from the restrooms, and sure enough…2 minutes later here comes a mommy with 2 fussy toddlers and they sit right behind me. I am a screaming kid magnet. I could just tell they were going to escalate because one was already whining about wanting to touch everything, and I just wasn’t in the mood for tirades and tantrums. As you walk in at the top of the stairs there is bar-style seating, without the bar, with three tall chairs. I thought for sure I could sit over there and be in a kid-free zone. That worked out really well. I was enjoying my pint of Alaskan Amber and watching the place fill up when 2 older gentlemen walked back in my little corner and asked if they could sit there. Heck yeah! I quizzed them first to make sure there’d be no screaming or crying and throwing of silverware and they said they had already gotten all of that out of their system. By this point I was glad I had moved because I could hear those kids all the way across the restaurant. My new friends, Mike and Carl, and I had a very nice dinner. I shared my salad with them, well Carl anyway. Mike informed me he was a vegetarian and didn’t eat the bacon. I told him I eat like that on occasion and when I get light-headed I go eat a steak. He thought that was pretty funny. We had a great time and shared stories from living in the Midwest to things to see and do in northern Idaho and Montana. All in all the salad was delicious and fresh, the pizza was tasty, the employees were friendly, and my new friends were superb. I can tell this is a very popular local joint and if I’m in the area again I’ll certainly make a return visit.

Enjoyed the pizza and beer! Spicy sausage! Love when the local kids are working behind the counter! Cheap beer too!

They need a bigger sign. I thought my Google Maps was having a laugh when it led me down to what really looked like a residential block — until you’re right on the place. The bottom line is this — the pizza was delicious. We had a table of 10 and split 3(and twice that number of pitchers) so my complete recollection of exactly what we got is, lets say, fuzzy. But they were all gone none the less. That said, they have thicker crust which is not my favorite, but the dough was tasty so they are forgiven there. The only slight down was that one of them was piled high with toppings, but the middle vegetable layer was still raw — warm but raw. Certainly not a deal breaker. Service was spot-on. From the guys that took our order, the guys that were out on the floor keeping things clean, to the(I“m assuming owner) that came out and chatted with us — you couldn’t ask for a better experience. While you’re in Sandpoint — this is you go-to pizza joint.

I admit it, I am a pizza snob. I like it both ways though, so don’t think I’m a prude. Thick and doughy, filled with toppings or thin and crispy, folding the only way to get it in. This was not enough of either for me to really FREAKOUT the way it seems that the rest of our friends and family do. We willingly went our first night in town to pick up a pie, and it was good and all, but nothing to shout about. Then, the next day, guess what was for lunch? Yup, DELICIOUSSECONDAVENUEPIZZA. It was good, again, but the more toppings you have, the better it seemed to taste. This was repeated until 4 times we were either fed this pizza or invited here to meet someone. Again, it’s not bad, it’s good, but NOTTHATGOOD. When I lived here, in this wicked little town, I thought this was pretty good pizza. Then I moved to the big city and became the pizza snob that stands before you now. If this was here in Seattle, the atmosphere would work and it would still be busy, but the pizza on it’s own is just okay.
