Amazing food! Great, friendly service. Jenny may have been the great attentive bartender I had I think… Loved the Brussel sprouts and the mrs. flatbread! If I lived in this state I would def be a regular! Ahead of the game out here!

A very nice place to have an after dinner drink and share a bottle of wine. Decorated nicely with high bar stools at the wine bar and high table tops with stools along with low big chair seating. it seems there’s places to sit for just about any kind of seat. Half the establishment is a store offering local artist jewelry, kitchen nick nacks, clothing and stuff for wine enthusiasts. Service was good and the staff is friendly. Glad we checked it out! Prices are reasonable as they were offering a 20% discount on bottles of wine because it was the 20th of August! What a nice offering! The place is clean and contemporary. A little on the dark side so it could use a little more lighting. Other side of the bar was the sit down restaurant which looked good. Menu looked simple and food is sourced locally.

Live music! Outside seating. Friendly service. Local wine. Not much in the way of vegetarian choices(grilled cheese: average, flat bread: toppings good, bread could have been toasted on the bottom, sort of blah, Brussels: yum!) I would come again of there was live music but without it I’d rather find better food elsewhere. Or I’d come for just drinks.

The new place to go in downtown Sandpoint is definitely the Bistro Rouge and Pend Oreille Winery. My wife and I went in for dinner on Saturday and plan to go back soon. The atmosphere is amazing with a remodeled building, modern fixtures and interesting decorations. There was a very good acoustical guitar musician playing music and a fair number of people were enjoying a glass of wine and chatting. It’s a great atmosphere to meet friends and have some great wine. We were seated for dinner and had an amazing server who knew the menu well. Of course I ordered a beer and found they had a great selection of local draft beers from both Mick Duff’s and Laughing Dog. I chose the Citra ale, my favorite Hop, and yes, it was great. My wife had a house salad and I had the broccoli and cheddar soup as an appetizer and both were excellent. My wife had a glass of the house Cab and spaghetti squash for dinner. I had the Bison corned beef sandwich. The food was well-prepared, just the right portions and presented perfectly. We will be back for sure but I would also urge all of Sandpoint to check it out.

The food, atmosphere, and service are excellent! The chef is amazing, with a unique blend of foods and desserts very different from any other local restaurant. They hosted a surprise party for my mom that from start to finish was top notch food and service. If you haven’t been to The Bistro Rouge you are missing out on an amazing experience.

Second time dining here. Last November my husband had a surprise birthday party for me at The BR. Fabulous meal and desserts. We had beef, chicken, the green beans were beyond wonderful, spicy potatoes, several salads and the crème brûlée and flourless raspberry chocolate cake divine. Last visit was the 19th of this month. This time four of us had mushrooms in yummy broth, beet salad, spaghetti squash, the farm burger, rib eye with purée potatoes and three of the tastiest desserts ever; crème brûlée, a caramel flourless chocolate cake and bread pudding with Nutella that was just beyond words good. Stepfanie the chef can mix ingredients and turn them Into a complex taste delight. The wait staff is attentive, personable, remembered us from November. Love the Bistro Rouge!
