Stopped by for lunch at an old favorite Marshland Too. I stop here when in the area because they have just plain Good Food. Thursday was no different. I merely had a mland harvest salad. Simple by design but flawless in execution. Greens along with Veggies and crasins were cold while the chicken was warm and the amount of dressing was accurate. Simple salad but great lunch. Chick the bartender was efficient and present it was just as it should be… a pleasant lunch experience. I arrived a happy person and left a happier customer. Price was fair too.

I feel bad writing this, because I really wanted to like this place. I’ve heard so many great things from other people that it seemed like a sure thing… it wasn’t. My family and I stopped in after my son’s baseball practice, we didn’t order anything extravagant, after 30 minutes of waiting for our appetizer(of onion rings!) I called the waitress over, she rectified the matter rather quickly which was nice enough, but by the time we had gotten our appetizer, the place was close to closing — the waitresses were all doing their side work and cleaning the dessert cases. I couldn’t see the rest of the restaurant from where I was sitting, I stood up to look around and noticed that we were the only people in the place, I then looked into the kitchen and they were cleaning up! At this point we had been there for almost 1.5 hours, we were hungry and cranky, not to mention we felt completely ignored. I went to the hostess station and inquired about what was going on — we were met with lots of confusion and then promised a free dessert, but we hadn’t even gotten our food! All in all, the experience was a complete let down. I worked for many years in food service and understand that things happen. However, in this case, we were the only family in the restaurant, seated right near the hostess station/counter area, and we were in plain sight of several staff members. The two biggest things that people remember about restaurants are the service and the food, in this case, we never got the food… so I guess that says it all.

Both my husband and I had fish and chips here today. They were outstanding! I had french fries with mine and he ordered onion rings. Then we shared. This place was recommend to us by a lady working inside a gasoline station. Really glad I paid attention! Our waitress(Kathleen) was a real sweetheart.

I started going back a couple of months ago and it appears they’re back to being a good family restaurant.

I was raised largely in part at the Original Marshland restaurant. I must have gone there for a family meal almost once every other week for 10 years, until Marshland Too opened just down the street from my childhood home. The same quality and affordability that drew us to the downtown location drew us to Marshland Too. That being said, two bad things happened to the restaurant: new owners in the late 1990’s and more so, exposure on Food Network’s «The Best Thing I Ever Ate.» The stuffed Quahog(the claim to fame) is ok, but some celebrity chef thinks its to die for. Since being on Food Network the company as a whole(all three sites) has gone down hill because they have gotten a bit of an overinflated ego. Now the Marshland Restaurants have had a huge decline in their once outstanding bakery, as well as choosing to serve alcohol and ice cream. They used to scratch make dinner rolls, the best ever; now they are frozen. They used to have amazing muffins; now it seems the recipe has changed. With the fame also came a rise in prices. When I go back, I feel nostalgic until the bill comes. Recently they opened a bar right next to the restaurant, its ok, but it is going to flop. They should have put it somewhere else. Last gripe, there is some serious inconsistency between the restaurants. I now live down the road from Marshland 3A. It can be hit or miss. Sadly I am still a loyal customer. I’ll leave on a good note, I’m not a breakfast person, but perhaps it’s their best meal. Ask for the home fries well done. For lunch or dinner, go with the Ultimate Chicken Sandwich with house dressing on the side for dipping and Friday nights get the mac and cheese and fish special.

Marshland here in sandwich is always full and always good food. Waitstaff great and the food is top notch. It is a family staple and my family and friends have been coming here forever. Classic.

Solid breakfast for a good price. Quick service. Not overwhelmingly good food but still good. Good morning option but not sure I’d go for lunch or dinner.

great, affordable options for breakfast and lunch. Be prepared to wait up to 30 – 45 minutes on weekend mornings, but worth it for an always good, traditional breakfast. For breakfast, their breakfast sandwiches, omelettes and waffle with fruit are all great. The poppy bagel mcnagle is good and different. Lunch; try the stuffed quahog. Best on cape and reasonably priced. The clam chowder also has a great reputation. Ultimate chicken sandwich is delicious with the house dressing.

We were certainly hoping for more given the Unilocal reviews, but this place is just plain average. The décor is basic, the menu is classic continental, heavy on seafood. We went for classics, Bacon Cheddar Burger, Chicken Tenders with Onion Rings, Clam Chowda and the dish they are«famous for», their«World Famous Stuffed Quahog». Everything was mediocre except the onion rings which were a bit above average. The chowder as overly thick and for being their claim fame, the quahog was nothing special. The service was fair. The bottom line, there are much better places to eat on the Cape.

Well I’ve been coming here for many years and I really enjoy the home cook meals. I always get huge portions for a great price. The biggest and best omelettes around! I am a usual regular at the breakfast bar on Sunday’s. I love the new tavern area, it’s perfect to meet with friends for a drink. I really enjoy all the marshlands around Cape, and haven’t been disappointed once. Overall good service, great food, and a comfortable place to relax.

Not for breakfast. I’m a big breakfast guy and I’ve given thirst place a shot a couple of times now and I’m not impressed. Scrambled eggs and omelets are always over cooked and dry. If a warm dry brown sponge is your idea of good eats than this is your place. If you know what biscuits and gravy really is, don’t get it here. It’s kind of a mockery of the phrase. Maybe it’s a New England thing but it ain’t right. It’s got some weird spongy«sausage» in it and it’s brown gravy on two full sized«muffin style» biscuits. Betsy’s in Falmouth is still my top breakfast!

I had breakfast at Marshland and it was really good. The service, portion size and quality all exceeded my expectations. My server was friendly and gave me as much coffee as I could hold. The place was neat, clean and welcoming on a chilly day. What more could you want in a restaurant? Answer– Nothing.

We went into the Tavern of the Marshland Restaurant to have a late lunch at the bar. Overall we had a good experience. We ordered the vegetarian quiche which came out with ham or bacon inside which was discovered after a couple of bites. This was immediately sent back and replaced with a different menu item. The steak tip special was very good overall but one piece seemed like it hung out on the cold side of the grill, because it was very undercooked. The fries were average but crispy and the corn seemed canned and unseasoned. The seasoned bartender took care of us rather well but was hard to get ahold of at times. He seemed to forget the rim dressing on our first round of Pumpkin Heads as well. Nobody is prefect though !! Overall a good experience at the Tavern at the Marshland Restaurant.

OK Marshland, you redeemed yourselves. Ordered the scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese with home fries. Delicious. The sourdough toast on the side was thick and delicious too. We also had the roast pork dinner special which was good. So Marshland… you are back in our good graces.

I always enjoy everything I order here every time without fail! The staff is great, the booths are über-comfy and the portions are generous. The Eggs Benedict are the best I have ever had – aside from the ones I make at home of course – and they have a large option for the milk glass which is a perfect amount for the meal. They also have a full dinner menu with burgers, steaks, and seafood, including award winning Quahogs. The Food Network has a show called ‘The Best Thing I Ever Ate’ which featured The Marshland Quahog.

Solid, consistent home cookin’. Great breakfasts, lunch and dinners. Bakery is full of sumptuous treats too. Quahogs were featured on the Food Network… Great clam chowder. Prime Rib on the weekends with the proper side of Yorkshire pudding. Great food for a good price, casual atmosphere… Friendly attentive staff. A regular spot for us, close to home.

Looking for breakfast in the Mashpee/Sandwich area can be difficult. We Unilocaled it and found this little place by the Aubuchon. I was surprised, to say the least. It was about 2pm by the time we got there and they still had a partial breakfast menu but the waitress didn’t say until we were ordering that they couldn’t do pancakes due to the time. That was ok, they had plenty of other options. I’m on this inexplicable bacon and cheese omelette kick, so I ordered that and my date had the eggs benedict. Well, the eggs benny was fine, but it wasn’t as good as Hoagies’ the other day. My omelette seemed huge but surprisingly it didn’t taste like… anything. And all the toppings were in the crease, not evenly spread out. The whipped cream on my hot chocolate was delectable but the actual beverage was watery and not very chocolatey. All in all, it was«fine.» There was nothing wrong, but it wasn’t anything spectacular. I would like to come back and try dinner because it’s reasonably priced, plus there was a note saying they deliver??? Also, they offer beer and wine. We shall see.
