Compared to the one in West Cobb, this one has amazing service. Couldn’t be happier with the servers and how quickly the food came out. Other than the wings — which haven’t changed much(a good thing), the rest of the menu is meh to me. But let’s be honest, I go to eat wings and have a beer or three.

Received a coupon in the mail and made me forget how close Taco Mac was and how long it had been since I been there. When a colleague and I decided to have lunch — Taco Mac was the perfect choice. I can’t even be mad at the server as the establishment needs to set the bar tender/server up for success. The poor guy was having to leave the bar to go back to the kitchen every time someone ordered a soda. This clearly effected the service he was able to give. Additionally, he was having to run to the back to bring food out to his guests. Food runner anyone? Especially for a bar tender. In my option, bar service is typically faster and more friendlier. Not in this case when the employee is doing it all!!! I can only imagine how the rest of this lunch is going to go. Maybe now I remember why I haven’t been in so long. Oh wait! I see a server/food runner going up to multiple people trying to deliver someone’s lunch. Ever hear of seat numbers? NOTE — when starting a marketing campaign to draw in customers be staffed properly to handle it.

Long day at work, decide to blow some steam, watch some sports, clear your mind… What do you do? Obviously, check out Taco Mac. Decided to meet one of my fraternity brothers here to catch up on things. Got there around 6:30pm, crowd seem to be enjoying themselves, so started off great. I went and sat by the bar, and quickly got greeted by the waiter. He handed me the beer menu as well as the regular menu since i was thinking about dining in anyways. Ordered some drinks and looked at the menu. Don’t get me wrong, I used to hit Taco Mac quite a bit, but this time I noticed the new menu. Wing flavors changed, again. After debating on what to get, ended up placing an order for the Habanero BBQ wings, roasted of course and they were pretty good, a little too saucy for my taste, but they were delicious nonetheless. Overall, great time. good drinks and food. Can’t ask anything else from this location. Will check out again.

I’ll have to say, I have been in multiple Taco Macs around the Atlanta area. This one is pretty big. The service was good. If you wanting to watch games this one be one of the places to go. My only complaint. Just about every glass of beer I ordered, the glass was dirty. So that’s why the 2 stars.

What terrible service we had this evening at Taco Mac. It took over 45 minutes to get an order of wings and then the order came out wrong. The restaurant had more employees walking around then they had customers, I do not understand what their difficulty was. I think just laziness. Then we asked to speak to a manager and she was apologetic but that was all, zero results. I don’t think she really cared. If you want great wings and great service, then go to three dollar café. I won’t make the mistake of going to Taco Mac again.

This Taco Mac is a hit or a miss depending on what time you go during the day. Service at lunch time is great, but expect yourself to wait and wait and WAIT to be served anything at dinner. If you have a kid and go past 5:00 they will tell you«sorry we have no more available booths» then chuck you to the back. We went at 6:30 pm on a Friday night. Waited TEN minutes for a glass of water. we waited another 30 minutes just to get our check. The server wasn’t even apologetic about it.

By far the worst service that I have ever received; especially in Sandy Springs. I came here with a group of 7 total. It took us 20 minutes each to receive a pitcher of beer every time. We all received our meals, except for one friend. He received his after everyone else finished their meal; approximately 30 minutes after. Running the checks were even more of a headache. It took 30+ minutes with the help of a manager to figure it out.

Update!!! Wow terrible experience here tonight. I’ve rarely ever left a restaurant but it happened today. Total miss. Server was good but the kitchen totally missed. Dip came out ice cold. We sent it back and it came back out 20 mins later. This is a Tuesday at 930pm!!! My buddy got tacos they came out with no meat. My salad came out with no dressing. They said they would be back with something. 15 mins… nothing. The server understood and we got out of there. Enough is enough. We paid for the dip and a Coke and one club soda that we got double charged for. Wtf!!! We paid to get out. Went to Marlows to eat. Have been a patron here for many years but recently have found the service level dipping significantly. The blame falls completely on the management team. You are either understaffed or you have no idea how to run a shift. Tomorrow is the first NFL Sunday. I am going to see how you handle the big day. Try and have it together, I know you can do better! Update: much better for the big Sunday kickoff. Not at normal capacity for a Sunday though. That said it was an improvement over some of the more recent misses. 9/23-update. Thursday seems to be the day they can’t get it right. Maybe half full and the service is just not there. No wait at the bar but where is the table service? My last time on Thursday nights.

It’s sad that such a beautiful restaurant has such horrible service and unimpressive food. We arrived at 245pm for a quick lunch before going back to work(both of us are servers as well) the restaurant was quiet as it’s usually a slow time for lunch. So we ordered one beer and 12 wings, the beer came a solid 15 mins after our food arrived, the hot wings are not hot and mine were undercooked. Working now at a restaurant I can be very forgiving(our server didn’t cook the food, it wasn’t her fault) and the manager came over very promptly to apologize however after that interaction it was another 15 mins until we had to ask someone else for our check and ultimately get up to go look for our server. 1 hour later I was left I satisfied, hungry and late for work. Will not return.

With a place with such an impressive beer list, it would be nice if they actually had a staff that was willing and able to dispense said beers. Long story short: was there today for the second half of Jets/Pats and were completely ignored. The hosts gave my wife attitude when she asked if we can get some beer lists and, oh, actually get those beers. We left after the game without a soul coming to our table. Would’ve left earlier but the game was blacked out in Atlanta. It was pretty empty for a Sunday(with the Falcons playing at the same time) which has me believe this is status quo. Avoid at all costs.

Went on a Saturday night, granted that’s an extremely busy night during football season, however after we were seated and received our first drink, no one came by for 40 minutes while waiting to place our food order. Additionally, I had asked for a game to be put on the TV but I over heard the manager tell the waitress they don’t get that channel, ABC. No one ever came and told us that though. The only way we cashed out was to scream at the manager as he walked passed. To which he came, put the check on our table without saying one word or being apologetic. Horrible service. It’s Saturday in October, they need to be staffed. Sadly this wasn’t my first issue ever with Taco Mac, but it’s definitely going to be my last.

Great concept, terrible delivery. Wait staff is energetic and eager but the restaurant is dirty and the tables are slowly bussed. Mediocre bar food and incredibly slow kitchen.

Under serviced to over serviced then back to under service. This place lacks leadership and communication within their staff team. Young staff could use training. Dishes were left at the edge of the table while the server went to get our bill. Seriously, take my dirty dishes away. Very rude service! Do not eat at this taco mac! Table next to us left to use the bathroom and entire table was cleaned before they returned! Thx for reaching out macstaco, but I will never return and suggest other locations to friends. The manager should have corrected the issue on the spot

Wtf Tmac. Seriously. We waited to be acknowledged for 7 minutes. While I watched the table next to us get service 3 times. By three different servers. Then finally, a guy asks for a drink order, we place our entire order at that time. After the first guy leaves, a female stops by to take our order. Finally! Or real server, Zach, came to our table to introduce himself, our order ticket in hand. He reviewed and the original server had written it down wrong. 7 minutes passed for water, food did come quick. Medium burger was well done with burnt edges. When we got our ticket, Zach stood at the end of our table pretending to fumble with his notepad… basically waiting for us to place payment down… before we even had the cash on the table. He was asking if we needed change. Piss off, dude. This entire experience was a joke.

Sat outside. Waited 10 – 15 minutes without any servers greeting us in our table. We watched at least FIVE servers walked passed us several times, some of them made eye contact and quickly hurried off before we can flag them down. They were not even full. Taco Mac service is sure going down the drain. We got up to leave, went inside, and saw several servers hanging out inside and chatting away. As we were walking out, I was able to speak to the manager who offered that she will take our order, but followed by «but if you want to leave, I can’t blame you.» I guess she was nice, but not really interested in making sure the customer stays. We loved taco Mac for years, but after some really bad experiences with other locations as well, this will be our last. I’m currently sitting in 5 Seasons that’s in the same plaza, and whaddya know? We already have our order taken and beer on the table within 5 minutes. And guess what? Their burgers are only $ 12. I’ll pay an extra $ 2 to eat here over taco Mac.

It just seems like sports bars have a shelf life. This one has reached it They have a million beers on tap sure, but in the rare occasion you want one of the one-offs you might not get it because it’s out. If you want a normal one, you’re going to pay 50% more for it than at other places. Sure they have a ton of TVs, but half the tables still seem to be sitting directly under a good one so you need neck surgery after you leave, or there are so many people around it blocks the view. This place is either booked solid and hard to get a seat or empty. Don’t show up earlier than the rest of your party, they wont seat you until the rest of your party has arrived. No matter what you say, how much you are nice, or mean, or whatever. It’s a rule. You can’t get them to break it. Deal with it. The food is so inconsistent. Sometimes it’s cold. Sometimes it’s not done enough, sometimes it’s overdone. The service matches. Do I come here? Yes. Do I usually argue with my buddies that suggest it? Yes.

I needed to wait to write this review because Taco Mac made me unhappy. But normally it is ok. Bottom line is they have a list with tons of beers. But don’t be fooled, its a list. I tried to order about 6 beers and finally got the 7th one. This is because they were out. So my opinion is, instead of having 500 beers, and not enough of the good ones, shrink down your selection and have a larger stock of the good ones. Otherwise it serves it purpose. Good wings, burgers and wraps and really good salads. I have to admit the server was pretty good and I felt bad because she kept having to come back to tell me they didn’t have the beer I wanted. She did keep trying to get me to order their Taco Mac beer which was okay but it wasn’t what I wanted. She did bring me a sample of some to try so that was nice.

My good friend and I stopped here last Sunday for a very late night snack and a good conversation. It was about 11pm, so we came in late when the place only had about a dozen or so patrons spread throughout. They had two bartenders on our side, with just four customers at the bar. The male bartender brought us menus after about three minutes, and after we decided what we wanted, it took about 10 more minutes, we had to wave a few times to get some attention. Seriously, this shouldn’t be the case this late at night. I have to admit, the service could have been much better. After we ordered, the food did come within a reasonable time, my friend had a sandwich and I had the wings, which were very good. This is a very nice location, for anyone who loves sports, this is probably the perfect spot, as I counted 40LCD’s, but they might have 50. Seriously, perfect for anyone who wants to live inside the picture tube. If the service was better I’d rank them higher. Being someone who has been in the service industry for many years I expect what has always been expected from me; acknowledgement, professionalism and excellent service. After all, tips depend on it.
