Tune Ups Barbershop

Jut have to say I got really lucky here and happened to call at 2pm on a Thursday, no wait list, walked in and Art attended me. I asked for something difficult and time consuming, and he did it, and I think he did an awesome job. People have complimented me on the cut. I would go back to him any time.
Not to say I didn’t see things I think could improve around the shop, but if I wanted to the same cut, I would come back and I would see Art again…

This shop is clean, has a nice esthetic and is conveniently located!
However, I sat for 40 minutes while the barber unevenly cut patches out of my hair and sprayed all kinds of chemicals to «make my hair lay down” — which was only an attempt to cover up his mistakes, that I discovered hours later after washing and then proceeding to style my hair.
I will NEVER return nor recommend this «barber» nor any other «barber» at this location to anyone I know.

Going to many different barbershops I’ve observed that barbers conduct themselves in such a way when it comes to dealing with their clients, especially repeat ones. Ive noted typical barber etiquette for when an appointment is made. I’ve seen best practice (& I as a customer appreciate this)
is to let the party know if the time requested will work.
Example if I ask to come get a cut at 12p valid replies would be:
A) yes that’s fine
B) yes but I have one in the chair & one waiting (letting me know not to expect to be seen right then)
C) no (reasons may very)
Something that I have observed that is not followed too often here. We all have schedules to adhere to and making an appointment with the expectation to be seen at that time I don’t believe is too far fetched if so l would be happy to adjust my rating.
I come here because of the skill level of the barbers here & the convenience in the distance from my home. However I’m driving all the way back over to my old barber in Marietta who has followed that above etiquette.

Nate is the TRUTH, from a classic cut to getting designs! I’ve been taking my son here for almost a year and have never once been unsatisfied! The entire staff is friendly and professional, not to mention that the shop is kept very clean!

I got a great haircut here. The staff was super friendly and they did a great job handling the crying kids moms were bringing in. I was a little hesitant to get my haircut here because I was afraid they mostly did cuts with clippers but Bigg Vern did a great job and gave me a meticulous haircut and scissor cut the top of my hair with precision. I will definitely be going back. They also have a pool table inside and everything is mechanic/​car themed even the barbers drawers look like mechanic drawers and they clean the hair off you after with a tire air dispenser.
Only con: My specific barber didn’t have a way to take my debit card so I had to run and get cash but I think other barbers did have card payment processors.

New very upscale and unique barbershop. I’m not sure how long they’ve been open we just moved to the area and was looking for a barber. Open 7 days a week, we will be back.
