Discount Tire Store – Sandy, UT

I am absolutely locked on Discount Tire 100%. I will continue to purchase and have all my tire needs and services done at Discount Tire. Their service has always been great and always surpassed my expectations. I always replace my tires there and I truly recommend purchasing the certificate they have which is a tire warranty. It is so worth it. If your tire is ever damaged, they replace it with a brand new tire for free. There were a couple times where I had a nail in the tire and it damaged it and another time my tire was basically cut badly and Discount Tire replaced the tire both times with a new tire at no charge what so ever. They also do all the rotation and balancing for free with you tire purchase. Their service is great, fast and very professional.

I went into Discount Tire today for a balance and rotation, this was personally, my 2^nd visit at this location (hubby usually handles this task).
I was greeted and helped by Grant, the manager. He was professional, courteous and helpful, he even asked me how I liked the tires I currently had and provided the advice of «If they’re continually maintained, they’ll be the best tires». After he received all of the information, he advised me it would be about 20 – 25 minutes.
As I sit in the lobby now, writing this out, so far, my only complaint is how cold it is in waiting area! I am wearing jeans, 2 shirts and a sweater; it’s almost too unbearable and I may venture outside. The lobby and waiting area is pretty clean, especially for this type of establishment.
I did notice that Grant was much more chatty and had created more rapport with every other customer that I was there to witness. Although I received good service and an overall experience, I didn’t get that sense of genuinity, concern, and amazement that I experienced the last time I was here.
I was just greeted by a young man, Henry, who advised me everything had been completed, just at the 25 minute mark. He informed me the tires were pretty unbalanced, good info, maybe too many potholes!

Had my tires balanced and rotated at 25,000 miles on my 2013 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited about 5 months ago and came back this Saturday to have them rotated and balanced at 29,000 miles. They checked the tires and came back and said «not worth balancing and rotating since those tires (Conti’s) only last 25,000 miles so they are due to replace.» Tread depth was 3 and 4 on the tires, which are getting to the point of replacing. So I asked «why did you sell me a service contract when you know those tires dont last longer than 25,000 miles?» I priced out the tires at Discount Tire and they were about $ 150.00 MORE out the door than Costco, which gave a $ 70 instant rebate up front (vs. mail in at Discount Tire) on Michelin Premier A/S’s. Selling service contracts to customers when you know there is no value is sleezy business. My mistake for being a sucker for that service but at the same time, bad business for a long time customer. I got my tires installed and out the door at Costco for $ 758.00 — road hazard, free rotation/​balance for life, and I can shop when my tires are rotated and balanced every 5000 miles or so. Suggestion: get a TV in your waiting room or something more customer orientated for those who have to wait. Granted Discount Tires generally matches prices but its tough to beat the value of Costco, and I can entertain myself while getting tires rotated and balanced in the future.

I almost felt like I needed to take a shower, after stopping in here to get new tires. I’ve had pretty decent experiences here in the past, but it was really insulting the way this kid tried to up sell me far beyond my needs — as if I had no idea what a lugnut is. I can only imagine their practices with those who may not recognize this slimy tactic. I highly abhor any company that does this, unnecessarily.

i have tried to give my business to this store and the discount tire on Van Winkle. It seems after the extremely poor service i received before, I tried to give them my business again. I emailed both stores for a price quote and match for a set of tires, twice. They never contacted me back. It was only a few dollars cheaper but like I said I was trying to give them my business. Well after a few weeks of waiting and no return call or email, I went to their competitor, and the competitor actually gave them to me cheaper.
So in short, my business with discount tire is finished.

I’ve been a customer of Discount TIre for a long time. I love the service and prices too. I’d like to personally reach out to Grant Haroldsen, what a pleasure it has been to work with him. I’ve been to several different Discount Tire locations. In fact, this location is several miles from my home. But they always take care of me. Thank you Grant!!!

Great tire store. Great tires. Great price. Great service.
They give a damn about the community of which they are a part. They give back and have been a supporter of Sandy Pride for years. That maters to me.
Their employees give me the sense that they enjoy what they do and are treated fairly. I prefer to patronize this business over their competitors. Burt Brothers and Big-​O are great, Discount is just that much better IMHO.

James took excellent care of me when purchasing my first set of winter tires & wheels. I came in with an idea of what I wanted, he offered me his opinion of what was best, and offered to wave multiple fees if I were to purchase and install them today (which I took him up on). I was in a bit of a rush because I had a flight to catch, and they had me out the door in 35 minutes.

I was really excited to learn that the best price on new tires for my truck wa at the tire store right by my home. I was even more excited by the friendly service and quick installation. I’m looking forward to their reminding me of scheduled maintenance on my new tires.

Pete and Adam were awesome to work with at this location.
I had quotes from other places when I went in and they were fast and made some great recommendations that I ultimately decided to go with. I got rims and tires for less than any other bid I had AND I got a $ 100 Visa pre-​paid gift card.
They installed very quickly and even contacted the rebate center for me to initiate my rebate.
Great Discount Tire location. One of the bids I had was from another Discount Tire who failed to mention the rebate at all. I felt like Pete and Adam had my best interest in mind and helped me through buying something I know very little about.

Quite possibly the best customer service out there. We love these guys! Convenient location, great service and nice selection if tires. (Listen to me act like I know something about tires!)

I’ve been here twice within the past 2 months and have been happy with the service I received on both occasions. My first visit was for a new set of tires for my truck, and the second for a rotation on my other vehicle. The service guys are nice and the place is clean. Tyson is one of the managers and has helped me on both occasions. He went above and beyond on this last visit to help solve a problem with my wheel locks. I think I’ll end up going here for a while and hopefully they continue to serve my well.
