«How baffling that Einsteins can function this way,» Yup that’s a quote from my hubby after we stopped in about a quarter to eight on a Tuesday morning. Think Soup Nazi line, though not nearly as efficient. So the bagels are pretty delish. But the ordering system leaves much to be desired. I mean, how can you mess up an order like this: three plain bagels, heated not sliced and a smear on the side? You slice the bagels and you don’t heat them. So back to the microwave they went. I know, not the end of the world, but I have yet to go to any Einsteins and not come away shaking my head at either the ordering«system» or at the fact what i received was not quite what I ordered., Why then do I come back? Well, did I mention the bagels are pretty delish?

I really like Einstein’s. They have a good mix of sandwiches to go with the standards you would expect from a bagel shop. The service is usually friendly, but the staff are prone to fairly frequent mistakes. I would normally find that fact annoying to the point that I would not return, but they are so kind and apologetic about their screw ups that it doesn’t bother much.

I was so excited to finally try this place. Went in for lunch with coupons. Poor guy helping us was new so we had some communication issues but other than that it was really great. I ordered the thintastic club sandwich-super good. My friend ordered both the honey smoked salmon and regular salmon bagel sandwiches and 1) they looked amazing 2) she confirmed they were. I can’t wait to go back and try myself. I loved that they served green tea and it was actually tasty. It’s a cute little shop. I was bummed that I hadn’t found a nice little sandwich shop since I moved here from Cali but I think I may have found it. Oh one more thing, they sell their signature shmears(spreads) for about $ 3.50 a container. Lots of flavors to choose from. I took home the honey almond– a little sweet but so tasty!

Poorly managed location. 1) Counter servers mess up order from cashier. 2) 9:00am on Saturday and they are out of certain bagel items? 3) No attempt to resolve other than refund. I would take a refund if by myself but with kids who are starving and want what they ordered, a little difficult. Back to the Fort Union location. Order at your own risk. 2 stars for service, 3 for the food they got right.

It’s Einstein Bagels. It’s a chain, you know what the deal is. The bagels are consistent at pretty much every EBB I’ve visited across the country, and this one has equally on par bagels — but the schmear could have been a bit more generous. My major qualm, and main reason for the two-star rating is a surprising shock that totally ruined the entire purpose of my visit(getting some work done on the free wi-fi): THEREARENOPLUGS. Well, that’s not entirely true. There’s one outlet — near the miniscule, sun-blinded table sitting lonely in the area where people stand in line. Basically, no one would ever sit there unless they were pining for the power of a plug. I didn’t even know Einsteins without plugs existed.

Pretty pathetic fruit cup Einstein. You can do better. Why are your fruit cups dated Jan 8 when it is Jan 10? Can I get fresh fruit please?

I forgot to review our Wednesday treats last week, and it was only my second week in! Doh. Einstein Bros are okay, if you are a bagel snob and pine for the boiled bagels, these will come off as rolls, but they are good enough on a Wednesday morning to get me through the day. Personally, I like the everything bagel. Just the right amount of salty/garlicky/oniony goodness.

Bagels are delicious! This one simple truth is the reason why Einstein Bros Bagels is a favorite of mine. Although their bagels are steamed and not boiled, the bagels served here are still yummy. With many breakfast and lunch options, there are many choices available at Einstein Bros Bagels and something that will probably appeal to most appetites – even picky ones.
