Got the Unilocal app just to write this review. The pizza, if you can even call it that, was expensive for what we got. We ordered a buffalo chicken Pizza, the pizza had no sauce, barely any chicken, no celery. Even what little toppings there was had no flavor… to top it all off the crust was undercooked and flavorless. I have had better frozen pizzas that cost $ 20 less than this pizza…

I give it 3 stars because of our server. She was soooooo upbeat and happy. The food was just«ok». We got buffalo wings which were good but a tad greasy and breaded calamari which was very crisp, but the breading seemed to be all I could taste. 2 of the kids got calzones, 2 of us got single slice and my husband got the islander Very greasy and not much flavor. Definately not the best or worst we have had. Very disappointed that out total came to almost $ 90 for a mediocre meal. But man that server was awesome!

Not much to write here other than we called each of their numbers on a Saturday night and got busy signals for 30 min. When we finally got through it rang for two min, no answer. Not sure what business does not answer their phone on a Saturday night from a customer ready to spend $ 100+. Horrible.

Three words: just awful pizza. The Caesar salad is okay, so pick that up, grab a frozen pizza, and head home. You’ll be much happier.

Had the medeteranian pizza & it was great. You can tell it’s hand made. Everything was priced reasonably & lots for the kids too! Walked right in & sat down. Good service too.

Cute place, waitress was very nice but food was terrible. Pizza crust was tasteless cardboard. Alfredo noodles were hard as bricks, and the chicken in the chicken parm sandwich was dry which made it impossible to bite through. A family of six and no one was happy with their food. The lemonade is great though. Great place to go to if you want lemonade.

Worst pizza I’ve ever had. Worse than a cheapo frozen pizza. Ordered smallest rate cheese, it had almost none. Ordered a mushroom, onion sausage. It had almost no onions or mushrooms and undefined meat. There was no taste to either and the crust was rock hard. Will never eat here again.

The outdoor area needed cleaned up and some new plants planted, it was kind of a mess outside but the food was great and we had a super server named Taneeka. Her and her husband or soon to be husband took very good care of us she was the best server we’ve had in many a day.

Good pizza and a good selection of toppings. Only 4 stars because it was a bit pricey for pizza. Would definitely go back.

It’s been rated the best pizza on the island, however being from the Detroit area and knowing a thing or two about pizza, I can say this is not pizza. The cheese wasn’t melted all the way, the vegetables weren’t cooked, and the pizza itself was very chewy. I wish there were more pizza options on the island.

Unimpressed… Ordered the other night and wasn’t great but decided to give it one more try… So I call to redeem the Unilocal offer of buy a one topping pizza get one free. Ask to split my topping half and half and the girl on the phone rudely suggested that it only applies to one topping, no havsies(ok I made up the havsies part) so rather than honor their listed offer she is emphatic that two toppings on half a pizza each is more valuable than pepperoni only on one whole pizza, weak

Wish we could give it none. Worst pizza ever. Ordered two different ones with the house salad and dressing. Not enough sause ., which was tasteless anyway… hardly any cheese… Hard tasteless crust … Got the specialty rolled crust ., again just awful, tasteless and you could never get full or taste anything from this pizza… Plus one of our pizzas were wrong., asked for tomatoes and got onion. If this is voted best on island… Then go off the island to get pizza!

We stopped at Island Pizza on a Saturday afternoon in the off season. As we walked inside, we were greeted by our waitress, who asked us to sit anywhere we wanted. After ordering we had a chance to look around. Looking at the décor induced one of those moments that make you go, huh? Most of one wall was covered in a mural of the Budwiser Clydesdales. They had other beer related items on the wall. And then there was a fish painted an unusual and startling red, white and blue. Surfboards, a seagull and geckos on walls added to the mix. All of this hung on walls painted red, green and lemon custard yellow. They may have been striving for three different themes(pizza, bar and island) but it came across as hodge podge. The background music seemed out of place. They were playing obscure Motown and Disco music. The only song I recognized during our visit was Chic’s — Le Freak. It just didn’t say pizza on the island to me. Our food was good but not great. We shared a 14″ pie with their thin(canapé/flatbread) crust. The crust was crispy the way we enjoy it. The sauce was on the bland side. There was plenty of sausage and onion on our slices but the mushroom was pretty scarce. Final analysis: we didn’t show up for the décor and neither should you(unless you like hodge podge). If you’re in the mood for pizza and in the area, this place will do the trick.

Pizza is just eh. Wouldn’t go for pizza again. Definitely needed more cheese. Still have yet to find a good pizza place on the island.

Couldn’t help but go here two days in a row. Family of four got a 14 inch with salad and appetizer for less than $ 40. Really appreciated the crispy crust across the bottom — they must have an oven with a stone bottom. Perfect place to pop in midday after the beach.

We come to Island Pizza every year we come to Sanibel and it never disappoints. It’s good thin crust with a curly crust. Yum! Pleasant staff and good service! Thanks :)

This is a pizza joint and nothing more. It has very good pizza and cold beer. The service was a little slow but the were very busy at the time my wife and I got there. We ordered the calzone on our visit it was ordered as a meatball and banana peppers. We were given a mushroom onion calzone. We decided to eat it because we were hungry. We waited for a long time to be told that they forgot to put it in the oven. The server did come and tell us about their mistake. I want to say they made it up to us with a special deal on our meal and check. The calzone was good could have had a little more ricotta in it but again still good. We will go back because of the service and the fact that they kept us informed when our order was messed up. Oh also you do get frosted glasses for your beer. See you next time we are on Sanibel Island.

Good enough pizza. The place is loud and fills up quick though, so be prepared for a wait. Prices look really high for pizzas, but order the«curly crust» which is just a regular NY-style with a dumb name and add your toppings to save like $ 6. Pretty decent beer selection.

So my husband and I were in the mood for pizza and we found this place near our hotel. When we walked in, we seated ourselves since no one approached us. Five minutes later, a girl there told us they were no longer taking restaurant orders but we could order to take out. I placed an order for a large half veggie half cheese. They accidentally made a half cheese half meat. They then apologized and made us a small Veggie. They also gave us a 15% discount for the inconveniences(I guess they realized they had messed up). The veggie and cheese were good but, if I did eat meat, the meat side looked like the meat needed to be cooked more. Maybe we just got there too close to their closing time which a staff told us that sometimes it’s 9pm. Go Earlier and you may encounter a better experience!

First time visiting Sanibel and Im originally from New York, so I apologize that I am a bit of a pizza snob. If that bothers you, then skip this review. We rented bikes on the island and started out on our adventure. We stopped on at the Island Pizza Restaurant because it looked cool and I I love trying pizza everywhere I go. We sat at the bar and the bar tender/server was really nice. We ordered some beers and just a large plain pie with fresh basil. Normally I get more toppings but this restaurant charges 2.00 extra per topping. Even for things like a little basil sprinkled over the top. This is a bit of a pet peeve of mine, charging so much for a simple topping. Nonetheless, this did. Or influence my rating overall. So we ordered the plain pie and beers. Pizza came out pretty quickly and I was excited to see that it looked good. The pizza however had a bit too much cheese. I like cheese, but cmon, don’t drown out the pizza with cheese. The cheese was overpowering and there was barely any sauce. So you couldn’t taste the sauce at all, because it was almost nonexistent. After I pulled some cheese off, it was basically eating bread. All in all, I liked the place and atmosphere. Pizza could be better. I would still recommend it, I would just say, «easy on the cheese».
