Had a great casual lunch on the patio, jerk chicken quesadilla with fresh made guacamole that was delicious. Husband had the oriental chicken salad and it was flavorful and huge. Our server was super nice and attentive. Now time to play a round of golf!

One of the best meals we had on the island while were were there. Even though the staff was completely in the weeds all night long due to constantly being harassed by a 20 top table who were more needy than new born triplets, they did their best to keep everyone happy. When you work in a country club, whether in the shop, or on course, or in the restaurant, you have to take whatever the customers dish out at you with a smile and a well bitten tongue. Knowing that, the service staff at The Dunes did so in spades the night we dined there– filling drink orders for snotty customers who couldn’t be patient, offering corrections for meals that didn’t need correcting, and placating rude diners with compliments on their stupidly expensive shoes. In short, these kids have patience in spades. As to our experience: it was pretty good considering the understandable lack of attention and the distraction created by the 20 top. Our server did his best to make sure we had everything we needed and never lost his cool. I had a perfectly cooked NY Strip Loin with a side greek salad and The Man had a mouth watering Almandine Snapper. We both enjoyed a couple of coctkails: I had the Dunes Diva and the The Man had the TEN Fresh. Each drink was really tasty and well poured despite the complaints from other diners that the bartender was watering the drinks down. So if you are looking to have a good meal with a staff that will take a beating and keep on greeting, then The Dunes is a great place to eat. Just check your country club attitude at the door, mmkai?
