This review is for the stoner burrito: it was certainly not worth $ 12. both the Carne Asad and pork belly were overcooked. Some if the meat was tough as jerky. The rest of the flavors were just okay, but it was surprisingly bland. 2 stars since the ordering staff were friendly.

We tried the Stoner Bowl and a couple tacos– I wasn’t thrilled with what we got. The stoner bowl came with pork belly and carne asada. The carne was good but the pork belly was hard and crunchy… the bowl overall was pretty bland as well(except for the chorizo fried rice which set my mouth on fire). I love fried eggs on things, I wish the pork belly had had more flavor and been less crunchy and the bowl had more sauce or something…

Tried the stoner fries that everyone raves about. Fries were perfectly cooked but that was the only good thing about them. Everything on them was dry. The rice was clumped together. Not enough cheese. The fried egg was overcooked, and they could’ve really used the yolk for sauce. Overall, no one at our table was a fan.

I’ve always remembered Dos Chinos from the times I’ve drunkenly purchase their Stoner Fries from their truck in Downtown Santa Ana. So when I went to 4th Street Market, I was excited to revisit the place I’ve talked so much about. What I didn’t realize was that the portions was x5 from what I remembered so I was not prepared to pay $ 14 for fries lol but it was good. I’d love to try the Stoner Fries without the fries. The rice is so good, the meat is savory and their green and red salsa? I’d marry their damn salsa. So after a while when the fries start to dry out and you feel like you’re about to tap out… SHOWER it with the salsa and don’t quit!

I love the idea of Mexican and Asian food fusing together. This place is one of the few vendors located in the 4th street Market area. Dos Chinos is actually one of the last vendors in the back. There are a lot of space to sit alongside the walls. There was a huge line for this place; I had 4 parties ahead of me and it took about 15 minutes to get to the front of the line. The prices of the food is pretty average. There are smaller portion foods like tacos, and other items you could share. I ordered the Stoner Papas. When it came out, I was shocked at the portion that was served. It was probably enough to serve 5 people. The stoner papas consisted of asada steak meat, roast pork belly pork, chorizo fried rice, & fried egg topped with some creamy sauce. I didn’t really enjoy the meat because it was still raw and chewy. The fries were also pretty salty. But overall, I would recommend this to people who enjoys mexican and asian fusion food. Not the best fries I’ve ever tasted, but the most different.

I got the Santa Ana chicken bowl and it was disgusting. I tried to take another bite and literally spit it out bc it made me gag. It tasted like the way dog food smells. Pissed I just lost ten bucks!

The Stoner Fries are so good. Worth the million calories that it has. Meat is seasoned well, fries are the perfect crispness. Then that fried egg, so good. Also got a chicken and pork belly taco, both were so good. This place is great and I look forward to going back.

I must say visiting this food truck was awesome! To begin with, there was a food truck fiesta going on in the parking lot of Home Depot which made this experience that much more enjoyable with music and many other options to also try. BUT, I came here for the stoner fries and only the stoner fries because they looked so tasty on the gram! Anyways, I’d like to give a shout out to the gentlemen in the truck, they were basically finishing there day up and were done with ingredients for the stoner fires. Regardless, I guess he noticed face that was ready to burst into tears from driving an hour to get here during rush hour and somehow whipped me a batch! I must say, these things were beautiful! Nothing insanely tasty… YET, but super delicious. I feel that if they would put more of there chorizo fried rice to balance the fries out, it would be amazing! Why? Because that special rice of there’s is so damn DELICIOUS!!! I basically started eating around he fires when I was getting full to find more stranded rice! FYi, one serving is more then enough for one person. So all that’s said and done, I look forward to visiting again especially if they stop by LA, but until then I hope I can also find that chorizo fried rice within my reach.(I think that’s what the rice was called?)

Bought a burrito off the truck outside Proof bar last Saturday night. It wasn’t bad, but I think I chose the wrong filling. I went with the Santa Ana chicken instead of the Hollywood. Should’ve stuck with my first choice. The chicken didn’t have much flavor, so I ate around it. My friend ordered the stoner fries and loved them.

Worst wait ever. Be prepared to wait forever for your food. Ordered the stoner fries and waited more than 30 mins for our order. Not worth it.

The Stoner Fries were massive! They could feed a family of 4! And yes that name suits this dish filled with a plethora of ingredients which someone stoned would probably love. It’s all and every ingredient you could find in your fridge from leftover rice to french fries to cooked pork and a fried egg! Plus more! I did feel sluggish after eating quite possibly the heaviest specialty fries I’ve ever had. Probably wasn’t a great idea as a post workout meal…

I ordered the garden grove burrito which was not on the menu, which it makes sense because it no longer taste like it used to. We also got the Hollywood chicken which was pretty good except for the after taste of cheap sweaty chicken. They were super over priced for the portions they put into the tortilla. I gave it three stars because I loved the flavor of garlic salted fries.

Theyre not very friendly. Service was very slow. The couple in front waited 30min+ for fries. We waited 20min for two tacos. The cashier had someone nice tell us there was an accident then the cashier served us with a sassy attitude. If she owned up to it and was apologetic this review would have never happened.

The Stoner Burrito was probably the best burrito I’ve ever had. The flavors all blended so well, it was a burst of flavors with every bite. The Stoner Fries were amazing also! Everything I tried here kept getting better and better. Definitely stalking this food truck.

Incredible!!! Get over here and come try this!!! The different flavors, the different sauces, and just the overall variety of food in one bite is something special! Was my first time at the restaurant– it’s was great! Go get some– well worth it!

We got the Stoner fries and it was amazing! It has carne asada, roast pork belly, chorizo fried rice, a sunny side up fried egg, salsa verde, onions, & cilantro. The spicy salsas they offered were yummy too. I liked the green one. The service was okay and food came out in a reasonable time. While the fries were great, this was probably worth coming one time. The fries cost about $ 14 so we’ll just stop by only if we happen to be in the area. Outside 4th street market, it’s a bit rundown and ghetto

I tried the Oahu shrimp burrito. First impression when I was handed the burrito is that it smelled really bad. It smelled like a papaya and I think papayas smell like sh*t. Weirdly it didn’t have any papaya but it smelled bad, I think maybe it was the cheese. Anyways the burrito was different but wasn’t amazing. It kinda tasted weird after a while My bf ordered the Westminster burrito. His was actually pretty tasty. I only got a bite of it but definitely preferred his over mine. We were the only orders they had but they took a really long time to give us our order. It was at least 10 minutes. I didn’t mind the wait but was odd that it took a bit of time.

Tried the Truck & their shop on 4th street. Both spots didn’t really do much for me. It disappoints when I think to myself I could have made a better Asian Mexican fusion taco at home. I really wanted to like this place, being that it’s Viet/Mex fusion!!! We recently had the opportunity to try the truck at an event. Ordered the asada papas & Bolsa pork tacos & shrimp tacos. The Asada fries were OK — the Bolsa pork was so fatty that I couldn’t stomach another bite. I had to inspect and indeed 99% of the taco was pork fat. Gross. The shrimp taco was so salty it made my lips feel like they were shriveling. The food at the 4th street location was just alright too. At least I tried both and both left me thinking meh, no thanks.

Dos Chinos is one of those food tucks that has provided the Orange County community with the delicious Asian fusion goodness for quite sometime but what I found tonight wasn’t that. It’s a dark and rainy late February night but we didn’t let it damper our spirits of wanting to be outside especially when hungry, so we decided to head to the truck because it’s always been good not so sober food as its not too far from my friends house. What we found tonight was some rude employees who didn’t really seem to care about what we wanted to order as they were more involved with talking to one another. We ordered a Hollywood chicken quesadilla and some stoner fries so I thought but what we ended up with was just the fries for $ 15 that’s a rip off especially when your substituting the roast pork for Asada and no guacamole because your out of it. Generally most trucks will offer a comparable substitute or a discount price because of the absence of an item. We found none of this tonight only an employee a girl with her bull nose ring who clearly didn’t even care we were here or to communicate with us whatsoever. Our Stoner fries weren’t totally horrid but the amount of soggy fries inside wasn’t what I expected or have had before. I’ve visited Dos Chinos a number of times over the years and it’s really hard for me to say this but the past 2 visits have been a letdown as I feel quality, quantity, and the attitude if employees has just sucked! Really hope that Hop reads this and corrects the problem because this was an awesome truck and I’d hate to see it head down to the road of failure because as it stands right now I won’t be back!

I did a double food truck stop today. First up: Dos Chinos. I had the Carne Asada Fries. Esta muy bien y delicioso! The fries were fresh and had a slight crunch. Very well seasoned, and they would stand on their own. But waitaminnit! They pile on enough carne asada, salsa verde, sour cream, and cheese to fill a large burrito! Si Mon! I wanted to eat it all, but I had to save room for the second stop. Dos Chinos, I will be back! P. S.5 stars for the customer service! A sense of humor goes a long way, and friendly attitudes are always in season.
