Dr. Tran is great! I came in for an eye infection, and she was informative about what was going on. She showed real concern for my issues, and asked many questions about my eye history. She was very personal and friendly with her other clients as well. I’ve had glasses since childhood, and never have I had such a sweet, caring doctor.

Dr. Mimi is the best! She’s so nice and friendly and is a great optometrist! Whenever I order contacts from this office, it comes so fast and very affordable! The staff is also very nice, helpful, and friendly too.

Got a prescription filled by dr tran. She didn’t dilate my eyes and only went through about 4 different lenses. I was impressed until I got my glasses and realized how off the prescription was. Very upset I can’t even wear my glasses.

I made an appointment for eye exam, even though I was the only one, I had to wait a while. I was sitting on the chair already when the doctor told me the equipment was broken and she has to do the exam in the old fashion way. I was very upset and disappointed because I was expecting my eyes checked with the new equipment. I don’t know why this doctor didn’t call and inform me about their equipment ’ s problem. Should be the patient’s decision if we wanted the service or not. I had to pay for the exam like my eyes were check by the new equipment. They have a lot of old style glasses, ugly, and expensive. I don’t recommended this place.

I love it here. I felt so comfortable and was educated on how to keep my contact lenses from being dried up. Process of going in and out was simple and fast.

I lost my expensive-​ass glasses, so I was in need of a cheap practical pair ASAP. Last time I spent about $ 600 for a new pair of glasses about one year ago, so I didn’t wanna spend another $ 600 again. (and I was stupid enough to buy that from very hipster shop in Abbot Kinney)
Thank god I found Dr.Tran. She takes time for eye exam and gives you detailed information for your eye-​health. Their location and atmosphere is very Latin community-​oriented. Hence all the signs are in Spanish. However, don’t let that part change your mind! (don’t think you are not invited if you don’t read Spanish) Dr. Tran gives you superb care and service.
They have special for new clients which you can get an eye exam and glasses from $ 99. I chose a plastic frame so it was $ 130 + whatever lens upgrade you want. They have so many different kinds of frames, I’m pretty sure you will find the «one «that fits you.
Overall, I could get a professionally fitted pair of glasses for under $ 200, and I’m very happy about that!

I don’t have a vision plan so I was looking for the cheapest possible option in my area. I thought that cheaper meant subpar service, but Dr. Tran and her staff were extremely helpful, professional, and thorough. I was in and out real fast and got everything I needed. I highly recommend this place, very happy with Dr. Tran and will continue coming here annually.

Dr. Tran is amazing! She is super nice and really knows her stuff. I found out she went to New England School of Optometry since we both had gone to school in Boston. That’s actually where my previous eye doctor went to optometry school, which is awesome! She was super thorough and was able to detect a small change in my prescription. You can tell she really cares about her patients. My eyes are pretty stable but they do change slightly every year.
My only comment is that she doesn’t dilate your pupils, but I hate doing that so I’m glad she doesn’t do it for me regularly. At my younger age, with little health risks, I also don’t think it’s necessary for each and every visit. If you have specific health concerns, you should talk about them with her. Her office is a little hard to find and it is also right next to a smoke shop, but don’t be put off by the sort-​of-​sketchy surroundings.
The parking lot directly in front of the building is small and is mostly either short-​term parking or handicap spots. I recommend parking in the larger lot to the side of the building, at the corner of N. Western Ave and W. 1^st Street. Then you have a short walk over to Dr. Tran’s building.
Also, she is open late on Monday nights and open Saturdays, which is really important for people who have to work during the week!

I have a complicated prescription and no one has been able to help me. I wasn’t satisfied with my eye doctor I used to had. He will just give me any contact brand that will only made my eyes more dry. Luckily I found the right doctor (Dr. Tran) she explained I had dry eyes. She was very patience and explain my eye glasses were made wrong. And she did a great job on doing my contacts fitting. I can now see better with my new glasses and now I don’t suffer painful dry contacts. Excellent Doctor. I give her ten stars.

Dr. Tran is a great Optometrist and I have been going to her for years, I use to go when she was working at the Wal-​Mart store in the City of Industry and then she got her own practice in Santa Ana. Let’s just say I will drive miles for this Doctor. Very detailed and never had any complaints.

Dr. Tran will take her time with you whether to examine or going over any concerns you might have. She is friendly and genuinely cares about each of her patients. I will most definitely come back to her annually to get check.

DR. Tran is super nice and you can tell she cares about your wellbeing. When you first get to the office building it’s a little hole in the wall but she totally makes up for it in professionalism, politeness and knowledge. Will definitely continue to go back to her.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Tran. She was so friendly and informative. She made me feel like she really cared. She took her time and was very thorough. The prices are unbeatable and its quality service. She’s the best optometrist I’ve had yet. I highly recommend her!

Both my husband and I visited Dr. Tran back in July of 2009, she was so helpful in answering all of our questions and providing all the information there is to know about taking good care of your eyes. Dr. Tran is so bubbly and down to earth! One of the best Optometrists out there!

Not only is Dr. Tran the MOST THOROUGH doctor of any kind I have ever visited – Mimi is a warm and caring optometrist who loves life, and most of all – helping others keep their eyes healthy.
First Bristol Optometry accepts all types of insurance and very affordable rates! She is very sharp in her examination than any optometrist I had –for sure! Mimi is truly a one of a kind find – referred to me by my cousin, who has been her patient for years.
Eye exams are serious. Glaucoma needs to be diagnosed and screened by a true professional – not some whiz-​bang slop jobber plucked off the turnip truck of optometry.
A full exam will cost you $ 89.00…but I do not have specific eye insurance coverage – so you may pay less.
I am so impressed with my visit and hope you see Dr. Tran And if you can’t see her it is probably because you need glasses and she is more than happy to help you find some.
