I went here because of their hours and they are a provider with my vision insurance. They have confirmed my decision to cancel my vision insurance and just go to a place like Target Optical. The optometrist that I saw was nice, and I felt like she cared during the exam, which was the only up-side to this experience. She wasn’t Dr. Marshall, so maybe he has hired someone on. They advertise a large selection of glasses, and the pictures would make you think that, but the glasses in the pictures are literally ALL of their glasses. Target Optical has a better selection of glasses. Also, as I looked at glasses while I waited to be seen the office lady had ZERO interest in helping me. She saw me walking around and looking and didn’t once offer to unlock cases so I could try on the nicer frames I was looking at, didn’t offer to help me pick anything out, didn’t once ask if I needed anything. What really upset me was that I was FORCED to come back a second time for my contact lenses to «ensure a proper fit» which my insurance got charged $ 60 for, leaving me with less money to spend on contacts. I’ve been wearing the same contact brand for 2+ years and have not had a problem – which I told them about. I’ve never been FORCED to come back for the fitting. I’ve been told before by Target Optical and Lensecrafters that I had a certain amount of time to come back for a FREE fitting to adjust my prescription if needed and after that I would be charged, but I’ve never been told I couldn’t leave the eye doctor without my prescription and that I would be charged extra to come back and get it. Finally, their prices are outrageous. $ 100 for an eye exam, $ 60 for my contact follow-up(imagine if I didn’t like the contacts and had to go back a couple times at $ 60 a pop). You can get an eye exam for contacts for half the price at Target Optical. I compared a few frames and the exact same frames were $ 20 – 50 less at Target Optical. And my 90 day supply of contacts? I can get it online for $ 65, but these guys wanted to charge me $ 100. Save yourself time and money, avoid this place at all costs!

We’ve been coming here since early 90’s, your treated like family. It’s nice to see the same friendly faces consistently, they’re funny and extremely helpful. Dr. Marshall meticulously goes through every detail. Great service!

Getting your your eyes checked out here is like getting your eyes checked by your well tempered always happy to see you grampa. I got my optical prescription here and he did a very good job. He’s thorough with his tests and you can tell he doesn’t mess around when it comes to his work. I read his degree and if I recall correctly, he was certified as an optometrist in 1960 so he’s been practicing for a long time now. The only drawback to this is that he may be sort of rigid in his practices. He’s very set in his ways. That’s not necessarily a bad thing just the way he goes about things. Case in point I asked for contacts and he called a consultant. He gave me one option for brand and a fixed number of boxes I had to buy. This seemed strange to me because the last place I went to was much more inquisitive and accommodating as to what kind of contacts I was looking for and how many boxes I wanted to order. I think the reasoning behind this may be because if one were to do things by the book, this is the standard practice. For this reason I went elsewhere to get my contacts. Regardless, he is a good optometrist and you wont regret getting an exam here.

THEOPERATICOPTOMETRIST. Have you ever had a FIVESTAR optometry exam that concluded with an operatic serenade in a tiny cubicle of an office? Well I have. Not only is Dr. Marshall the MOSTTHOROUGH doctor of any kind I have ever visited – me is a warm human being who loves his life, and most of all – helping others keep their eyes healthy. A man who has been practicing FOREVER(I cannot remember the exact number – but OVERFORTYYEARS – and sharper than any thirty year old – for sure). Marshall is truly a one of a kind find – referred to me by my mother, who has been his patient for years. Eye exams are serious. Glaucoma needs to be diagnosed and screened by a true professional – not some whiz-bang slop jobber plucked off the turnip truck of optometry. A full exam will cost you $ 89.00…but I do not have specific eye insurance coverage – so you may pay less. I am so impressed with my visit and hope you see Dr. Marshall. And if you can’t see him it is probably because you need glasses and he is more than happy to help you find some. PS. Here is a public service announcement. Always the skeptic, I asked Dr. Marshall about the true validity of sunglasses. WELL – always have them on, and if you don’t have a pair – do so now.
