Tried it here for the first time, did not disappoint! I tried their Al Pastor tacos and it was amazing! A little pricey, but definitely worth it! So good! Can’t wait to come back :)

The Surf and Turf burrito has it’s very unique mixture of flavors. I would recommend you try it, because you won’t find a similar taste anywhere else. Next time I’ll try it out with rice as opposed to California burrito style like a California burrito. My son had the California burrito and enjoyed it also. Also, thanks to the generosity of this business, which provided us with two complimentary Al Pastor tacos, also were tasty.

Food is great! The Milanesa torta was very tasty! The chorizo, lengua and asada tacos were also great.

This place is in a regular plaza and has a plain TACOPRONTO sign in all caps, but don’t be fooled! The owner and his son, Jamie Sr. and Jamie Jr., both get 100% in customer service and cooking skills. When I went to pick up my order of 12 burritos, I started talking to them about different foods on their menu. I am a huge fan of tacos al pastor and tacos de tripas. Jamie Sr. made those two tacos for me to try and OHMYGOD, they are amazing. Both meats were cut into little cubes. The pork melted in my mouth and the tripas were crispy enough and not rubbery. The free tasting didn’t stop there… I was also given some chicken soup. Tasty as well! Please do yourselves a favor and give this place a try. It’s clean, friendly, and serve great Mexican food. I can’t wait to go back for some tacos al pastor and tacos de tripas! And I need to try their surf and turf burrito, too.(Their hot salsas are awesome!)

After working three years around the corner and my work-mates talking about how great it is, I finally gave Taco Pronto a chance. It is a staple Mexican restaurant that caters to non-Mexicans(you know what I’m talking about), but it taste great. I deliberated and calculated for a few days to decide if the price was worth the Surf and Turf Burrito. Calculus(based on equations, theories, books, and comparisons to other Mexican restaurants) concluded that it is. Usually, such burritos are over $ 7 yet this burritos has shrimp in it! While folks are use to paying $ 1-$ 1.50 per ‘two bite’ tacos, Taco Pronto selling large tacos at $ 3 is worth the larger investment. Real selling points are the salsas. Everyone at the restaurant frequents the salsa bar a few times during a single visit. The spiciest one, nicknamed ‘the Diablo’ by Unilocalers and foodies, is now one of my favorite sauces period. Service is quick and friendly. The owner seems to be very proactive in all aspects of the business, and quite friendly. While Taco Pronto is not as authentic as it can get, it’s really good due to its unique salsas and worth factor.

Was in the area after going to a local Santa Ana dispensary and was craving a breakfast burrito and found Taco Pronto via Unilocal.Got the Americano Burrito with bacon. It was awesome and the homemade salsas were the best. I live in Irvine and went back a week later(yeah the dispensary also). Next time based on Jaime suggestion I got chorizo version. It was killer. My kid loved them also. I am happy customer except I spilled some of the salsa on my car seat since I couldn’t wait til I got home to start eating! vuelvo en seguida. ;)

So disappointing! The beef in the surf & turf burrito($ 8.50+tax… around $ 9.18 after tax?) was overcooked and tough. There were so many chewy tendons, I felt like I was eating a sock. The 4 or 5 shrimp in the burrito were good(plump, medium size, sweet). The flavor was okay. The pickled carrots were good. But this is nowhere near as good as stuff from Mexico. Ya’ll are out of your mind! The employees were nice, so I gave them an extra star for that.

Found this place by luck and after taking to the owner Jaime, I don’t think I ever want to go anywhere else!!! I had the surf and turf burrito and I have to admit that it’s life changing… it’s my new favorite place to eat around Santa Ana for sure. Thank you Jaime for the great food

First things first, the customer service here is excellent. Went in to order a surf n turf burrito per Unilocalers reviews. Being my first time here, they gave me a tripas taco to try out as well as some meat from another dish of theirs and they were both great! Very small business oriented you can tell they care about what customers think. As far as the S&T burrito, the asada and shrimp inside were cooked and flavored well, asada a little runny for my liking but good nontheless. The only thing about the burrito is they put fries in it which I’m not crazy for but that’s my fault for not checking. Still, I can see why people like it. I’ll definitely be back for their tacos, specifically the tripas and EXCELLENT salsas.

Service is so awesome here! Their salsa bar has hot chili oil. Sooooo amazing. Wish there was a bit more cheese in the nachos. Either way, a great place for what it is.

We were in a hurry and wanted something quick but good. Stumbled into this gem of Mexican food and couldn’t be happier. Had 3 tacos(cárnicas, asada and al pastor). Super delicious and tasty. The owner greeted us and made sure we were in and out in no time. He takes pride of his food, his restaurant ownership for 20+years and the press reviews!!. Fresh salsas, good super hot sauce, and fantastic horchata! Came in with a friend from Italy and he now has great memories of a good taco place. Bravissimo! Highly recommended. Too bad I live too far but I will come back for sure!

Stumbled upon this place and what a great find. There are plenty of taco places around and it’s hard to add one to your list even if it’s above average. This place is far above average and has a few tacos you don’t see everyday. I had a traditional shredded beef crispy taco to make my assessment but I also took a risk at ordering something different… the lengua and tripas tacos. WOW! I’m coming back(maybe tomorrow) to load up on these two!!! And the salsa roja is crazy hot and delicious. No wonder they’ve been around over 20 years and voted best tacos!

Came back for the first time in over 2 years, because I wanted rice and beans for breakfast and my go to places don’t open until 9. After I got my salsa, he said next time he will have to charge me for salsa because rice and beans don’t come with salsa. WTF? Now I really won’t be back.

Went in for lunch today. The owner(?) was very nice helpful since it was our first time there he gave a side of rice to my friend for free so he would try it. He gave me a taco a taco. I ordered the pork meat in green spicy sauce. It was pretty good the sauce had good taste. I also ordered a side of guacamole which was a disgrace really. Had I know I would have just gotten pico de gallo for free from the salsa bar they had there instead of spending over $ 3 for that. It looked like pico de gallo with a smidgen of avocado. The flan was lacking flavor & watery. The home made horchata was ok too. For him bragging about how good & home made it was I would think it would be better. Maybe I got them on an off day? Who knows.

Tripas, tripas, tripas! The best tripas in OC. Full of flavor, tender and crispy at the same time — and only $ 2.50 each. Full menu of all the classics, plus some fun additions like the surf and turf burrito filled with steak, shrimp and French fries. Friendly and fast service. Great deals for catering, too. Try the cheese quesadilla well-done with the hot red sauce. The owner is here most of the time and runs a tight ship, and knows his customers. Even during the lunch rush, service and food quality remain outstanding. Killer salsa bar with options for everyone. If you haven’t had tripas, or you don’t like tripas, the owner will convince you to try it and it will change your life. Lemonade, tamarindo, jamaica, and horchata made fresh daily. Plenty of parking and the restroom is clean, too.
