Music and drinks. This place is pretty hip. They charge cover, but you could make a reservation. Although there is cover, they give you a drink token which evens you out.

My cousin left his phone here after they rushed us out before 2am, when I called to ask about it immediately after their listed number said it was out of service. So in conclusion I went to a bar, my cousin got drunk and lost his phone, and when we called the bar to ask about it they didn’t have an available number. Bummer night.

A big SHOUTOUTTOGIO the security guard ! Thank you so much! I left my phone last night at the bar and he made sure to keep it with him, till I could pick it up. Good looking out. You saved me! Also thank you for charging it! You’re awesome! There are not a lot of people out there like you. I’ll definitely be back soon!

It’s been 5 years since I’ve been to the copper door and it seems that they have found their groove. They now have a full bar, music bumpin with people dancing. They still have their large communial table areas with a few standing areas near the pool tables. Back corner near dance floor has VIP tables for special occations. It’s a great venue to unwind with drinks with a large or small group of friends, they have more than enough space to accommodate you.

Decent place, good cocktails, but the crowd sucks as the evening goes on. Everyone seems to have just turned 21 at this place. Not my scene. An awkward layout for a bar as well. Oh, and good luck getting a pool table, or even a table, because they reserve everything at this place! They should leave tables open on a first-come first-serve basis, they do have the bar, but besides that you are stuck with a long communal table which is right in the center of the bar, everyone is bumping into everyone, meh.

Me, my sister, and an old high school buddy of ours were just walking the streets of downtown Santa Ana when we came across this place. The music was pretty loud and that caught our attention first since we missed the entrance and sign. Walking in, the venue wasn’t too bad, there was ample amount of room to walk around(on a Saturday Night.) the DJ was okay, I wouldn’t be drawn here because of him but he isn’t bad. There is room in the center to sit down and eat and have drinks. They had a decent selection at the bar which was great! There wouldn’t be a point to go out and just start dancing(at a club) without a little bit of alcohol in me. There are also 2 pool tables to play at on the side if you down want to just dance. The venue is a lot like the many bar/clubs located in downtown Fullerton but with more room and other things to do or eat.

Great bar in downtown Santa Ana, it has a few pool tables that can be rented by the hour, and an area towards that back that can be danced in. The place has a bit of a hipster vibe to it with«old» looking décor that is made to look modern. The mens restroom has a bit of a worn out, broken down look, but I am guessing that is the look they were aiming for when making it. I had the strawberry moonshine here, and I liked it a lot. While the alcohol taste is a bit hidden by the strawberry taste, the content does seem strong because I felt quite a bit afterwards. There is a pizza selling section to the side that takes food orders. Overall a nice place to hang out and have some drinks.

It’s tough to write a review for a place like this. You don’t go to The Cooper Door for crafted drinks or cocktails. The Cooper Door does not even have a full bar. You go there because you’re going to get drunk with friends. Let me just describe it. It’s in the basement of a building. Its a big long room with black paint. The bar is along half of one side and some tables on the other side. In the middle is on long big rustic table. Some pool tables. Urban sexist hip hop music videos are being played at the back of the room with some lights shining on the floor. There’s no dance floor per se. It’s just the open area at the back of the room. No windows. No patio. One door. Kind of creepy vibe. It’s not a warm inviting atmosphere. It doesn’t seem female friendly. And the only security I saw was a bouncer at the door checking ID. It’s not a club. And they don’t charge at the door. Drinks are priced affordably. Great for groups. Actually, I would suggest going in a group. :/

You look at the pictures and read the reviews. It all checks out, seems like you’ve found a definite four or five star spot. That just isn’t the case, at least not in my book. If you’re content with drinks that are made with a mixture of liquor, fountain soda, and bottled syrups then this might just be the watering hole for you. I on the other hand am very particular about how I have my drinks, especially whiskey. The second I see any bartender pouring tonic from that little bar handle that pours just about every soda and juice option available, that’s the second I get turned off. I noticed that was the case here, so I was glad that I stuck with a beer but my girlfriend had the misfortune of having to drink one of those cheaply made Old Fashioned’s. The beer menu was also very limited, which was a surprise, being that this was originally a beer bar. I expected a long tap line, but there were about ten to fifteen beers available. The look of the interior saves this place though. It has that cool hip vibe you’d expect to find at crowd pleasing bars. Throw in some 90’s hip hop and r&b jams(Friday schedule), mixed in with some of today’s music and you got my attention. That was the best take-away of the night for me. Anytime the DJ plays«Scrubs» or some of Biggie’s hits, that’s it, I’m bout to turn up.

This place is really cool. My cousins, sister, and I went here for the first time this past weekend and we just kind of stumbled upon it, which were happy about hahaa. It’s underground, has a bar section, a pool table section, and a section to dance. What we thought was dope was that they had a huge fan to keep us cool haha. Also! There was no cover charge. Not sure if this an every night thing or just was a special, but we were happy there was no cover. Most of the drinks are made w moonshine, if not all. Lol just a heads up. Really cool place though. We’re definitely going back.

I spend so much time in DTSA and never come to The Copper Door. Why? I don’t even know but the night I went was pretty dope. First of all, if you’re claustrophobic this is not the place for you. It’s under Chapter One(kinda) so you’re in a basement. Well, that’s kinda what it feels like anyway. There are pool tables and regular tables and you can even get bottle service. I wonder how much the bottle service is. Anyway, that’s a different story. The night we went there was a DJ that played music from the 90s and early 2000s all night. I was so excited! YES! The era when you could actually understand what artists were saying(I’m talkin to you, Future). The tap list at The Copper Door is always dope but I wanted a cocktail. It was good and cheap but the bartender got a little heavy with the gin. I was definitely feelin it after a few sips… which meant I was feelin it the next day. Ugh. The only issue I had was some of the patrons were a little sketch. Like, there was a creepy lookin dude that looked like he was fresh out the Pen and not afraid to go back. Luckily they gave him the boot at some point but I was wondering how he even got in. Anyway, I’ll definitely check this place out again.

I’ve visited quite a few times and every time I am reassure as to why I love hanging out here. Located in a basement under chapter one, this small hip bar has it all going on! If you want craft beer on tap they got it! They even make cocktails now with moonshine! It’s their specialty. There is a small kitchen with a limited menu but the items offered pack a punch in flavor! During the week there will be bands and it’s pretty laid back to hang out. On the weekends it’s more like a club with a dj, black lights, sirens, those cold smoke machines… the whole nine. Whether you are looking for a low key place to just relax with your friends or if you are looking to party it up, the copper door has it all! Check this place out!

We usually come here on a Wednesday for the burlesque show. There’s no cover and the place is located downstairs and has a cool vibe. They have a great selection of beers and some ciders and they have great deals as well. The people who work there are nice and friendly and help you decide what kind of drink is right for you. Overall a great place for drinks and appetizers.

Grabbed a drink with my friend here upon my other friend’s recommendation. It’s located next to Chapter One and it’s in a basement so you have to go down some stairs. The space is pretty big and open– bar on the left, some pool tables, communal table, and DJ/dance floor in the back. We came in a little after 9PM and there were a good amount of people there, but it was still early for the late night crowd so it was a lot more chill, which I liked. The music wasn’t blasting yet so it was easy to sit and talk without screaming into each other’s ears. Our bartender wasn’t very friendly which is fine, but just something to state. I asked for his recommendation on the IPA’s listed all he said was«Trestles.» Perhaps I offended him, lol. Anyway, I went with his recommendation and it was decent. My friend got the Peach Ice-Tea which consisted of stillhouse peach infused iced tea moonshine, peach lemonade, fresh peaches, mint and lemon. I took a sip of it and it didn’t taste like there was any alcohol in it, but my friend isn’t big on drinks that taste too alcohol-y, so if you’re anything like her, you’ll enjoy this drink! Overall this seems like a solid place in the OC. It seems pretty chill if you come on the earlier side. Solid drink selection and reasonably priced.

Pretty legit place! I ordered Jameson and coke… Nothing special, but delicious! Music was pretty decent, definitely can dance to it. Pool tables added a nice touch for those who don’t like to dance! Pretty spacious as well! I’d go there again. I would have to say… Nothing amazing amazing about it, underground so easy to miss… But I did like how there was plenty of room to breath!

Good times here. My kind of chill bar spot. Dive bar at it’s finest. Pool tables, mega selection of beers on tap… Amble seating and good music. You can’t go wrong when they have $ 10/hr pool tables!!! And great beer on tap!!!

Came here because nothing else in Santa Ana was popping and I was glad I stumbled upon this place. Drinks: stick to the menu. My friend tried to order 3 different things that the bartender didn’t have supplies for because he stated they recently got their alcohol license. I looked around and saw that other girls were drinking out of cute little mason jars. I asked what it was and the bartender told me they were mixed drinks with moonshine. I was a little nervous because the last time I had moonshine, I felt like my esophagus was on fire! However, this place made really good drinks with moonshine! I was pleasantly surprised. Ambiance: We got there pretty early, so we got to play pool(you have to pay). It was cheap and it was so much fun! The only downside was that since the stools were set up next to the pool table, I couldn’t hit the ball sometimes and I had to tell the people to move. It was awkward so we stopped playing. Music: great selection! Didn’t play all EDM like a Vegas club so I was happy. Everyone was singing, dancing, and it was a good vibe overall. Even waiting in line for the restroom, I was singing along with strangers to «Birthday Cake» by Rihanna. What was NOT cool was that one of the stalls in the restroom had a broken door lock. I’m all for bonding with people when waiting in line, but not that bonding when you open the door to a chick peeing on the toilet seat. Talk about awkward… Overall, I enjoyed it and would go again.

I enjoy this semi-hidden underground bar in DTSA. They host live bands, DJs, and burlesque shows on the stage. There are 2 pool tables for $ 10/hr. Recently, they added a bottle service area with cushioned booths. I don’t feel that this is necessary because the vibe is more casual. Large communal tables take up the center of the room, and there is a small dance floor. Swine Addicts is the name of the kitchen located inside which serves small bites and meaty dishes. Beer is the name of the game here. The Copper Door has a multitude of taps and you’re likely to find something for everyone. Recently they added Moonshine Cocktails made from Olé Smoky, which are premixed and they serve from a tap. I went with the Moonlight Spritz which was refreshing and was even finished off with fresh fruit. I could drink those all night because they go down so easily! Other hard alcohols are now available as well. Happy Hour: Monday-Friday 5−7pm. $ 2 off Drafts & $ 4 Signature Moonshine Cocktails. $ 1 Taco Tuesdays. 2 for $ 1 Wing Wednesdays.
