Considering this place isn’t the biggest or most assuming, it has a pretty impressive menu(lengua tacos! lots of torta options!). My boyfriend and I live nearby, and were craving a burger. Because everything was super cheap, we ended up getting a couple burgers and a taco. It was all delicious, and it was actually awesome to have both burgers and Mexican food options. The staff were all very friendly, and we got our food fast. Everything was simple(in a really good way), fresh, and flavorful. We would absolutely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

This place is connected to a Mexican Restaurant. Actually, I think it’s primarily a Mexican restaurant. We stopped in here expecting a little burger place and were pretty confused when all I saw was Mexican food on the menu. But there, toward the bottom they had burgers listed. We ordered some sopes and some burgers and both were delicious. If you’re ever in the area don’t hesitate to try this place. The staff is friendly and the food is good.

I found this place a block away from a place I was staying at for a few nights. I wanted a burger, so I set foot out onto San Andreas in search of one. I passed a bakery, a pizza place, and then I stumbled upon Burger Express. I was a bit confused at first because although the sign said«Burger Express» everything about it screamed Mexican Food(El Zarape is attached/next door). I walked in, looked around, and then noticed a column on the menu for burgers. I ordered a double cheeseburger with fries. I was a bit hesitant about the order because it looked like they did Mexican food pretty darned well(I didn’t have any, but my friends loved it). Burger was pretty big, full of fixins’, and cooked perfectly. Who knew a Mexican place could make such good burgers?! Their fries were really good too.

I love the burgers at this place. They remind me of the way burgers tasted when I was a kid in the ’60’s. Nice bun, crunchy lettuce, onion slice, pickles, and the right size patty: not too big. The burgers taste fresh and refreshingly old school. I really like their fries, too. They are slender and golden brown. The cheeseburger lunch combo(burger, fries, drink) costs less than $ 6. They are primarily a Mexican restaurant, so this is a good place to go with a small group, if people are craving different cuisines.
