We were up from LA for the weekend and heard about the incredible and unusual wines and food. So we stopped by and wow it did it not disappoint!!! The wines were beyond incredible and unique. The food was beautifully curated. This was by far the most affordable and inviting glass of wine in Santa Barbara! We couldn’t recommend this place anymore!!! If we didn’t live in LA we would be living at this Wine bar every weekend!!!

Went here on a whim. And once I found it(it’s a crêpe restaurant during the day) I had such an amazing time. The owner/bartenders were so nice, informative, and personable that it made for a really good time. Paired with well priced, tasty wine, you’re going to have a good time!

I am in love with this place! Such a great selection of wines, and the owners, Jeremy and Sayward, they are so knowledgeable, it’s fantastic! I’ve never had such unique wine, the Lebanese one is delicious. They serve small plates of super yummy food, and they’re really priced well! I’m kinda addicted to their popcorn, it’s a different flavor every week. I had my birthday party there, and so did my partner, and they handled the large parties no problem. I’m so excited to keep going and try all their wines!

We stopped by on a Saturday night early in the evening around 5:30. The two owners, Jeremy and Sayward, were at the bar. Both of them are so friendly and really take the time to explain the wines. I recommend trying the two house wines because they’re both good, but getting to pick a vintage glass is part of the fun. Also, there are so many options for Santa Barbara and California wines in the area that it’s fun to have a place that specializes in something outside your wine comfort zone. They have options on the menu similar to local wines, so I’d definitely stick with anything from the Stranger and Geeky parts of the menu(old world and rare and unlike anything in the area). Also, the popcorn was so good! Can’t wait to come back and take a couple of friends. This place is a great, funky option downtown.

Love this place! I met a friend for happy hour and while I waited for her, I was served their signature popcorn — super delicious! The blend of truffle oil and salt was just the right amount, nothing too overpowering as truffle oil can oftentimes be. When my friend showed up, Jeremy came to our table to help us with our wine selection, really friendly guy! I’m no wine expert, so I played it safe with the house red. I’m glad I chose that one, such unique flavors! Definitely the best house red I’ve had in Santa Barbara. And for less than $ 6, you really can’t beat that price. The little goblets were a fun as well. For appetizers, we ordered the dolmas and chickpea pancake. The dolmas with the dipping sauce were stellar, probably some of the best I’ve ever had. The chickpea pancake had a really nice texture, soft and fluffy and so, so good! I’ve never tried anything like it before. The fresh avocado on top was a really nice touch. Towards the end of our happy hour, I noticed some board games that I wish I had seen sooner! I’ll definitely be back to try some of the other wines, appetizers, and play some board games with my friends :)

What’s better than eating delicious snacks and trying amazing new wine? Answer: getting such personalized customer service! Five & ¼ boasts knowledgeable and friendly staff; the owners are so helpful in describing the wines and helping you choose the best one for your tastes! And I love that they’re a small, local business!

This has become a go-to spot for us, we come here just about every week to enjoy amazing glasses of wine, support a small business and learn about wines I would never have run into on my own. The prices are unbeatable, $ 5.25 to $ 11/glass versus some wine bars in SB that charge up to $ 28/glass, which can become an expensive habit. We were referred to 5 ¼ and always talk about this spot when we meet other wine lovers.

After the suggestion of a friend, we decided to check out Five & ¼ last night, and we were not disappointed. While our intention was to get a drink for happy hour, and they did not have a specific happy hour menu, they do offer a house wine at 5.25 in both white and red. We both tried wine from the«geeky» section, and it was fun to try something with a different and complex flavor. We also tried both the white and red 5.25 wines, which were also good. The owner was very knowledgeable. We also tried the food, which was really good, small plates. We had the popcorn(black lime), the apple and fennel salad, cashews, olives, and the chick pea pancake. All of which were delicious(and vegan). We plan to go back next week when we have visitors in town.

I love this place. The owners are so warm and friendly. They have a small wine menu. Around 20 wines that they hand select and they are amazing!!! The owners are very knowledgeable about wines and I love hearing them explain what each wine is and why they picked it. The prices are totally affordable which is great! They have small plates that are healthy and delicious. I’m addicted to the pop corn that changes weekly with different fun flavors. I’m also addicted to the dolmas. Very flavorful with a beautiful presentation. They rotate the salad seasonally and I’ve loved all the ones I’ve tried. I literally haven’t drank or eaten anything here I didn’t love. We usually order everything off the food menu. This is my husband & I’s go to place on the weekends to have a nice relaxing evening. We have introduced a few friends to this pop up and they are now regulars as well.

Love this place! Great wines, good snacks, and very laid back vibe. I have been twice now and have been impressed both times. The owners give wonderful personalized recommendations if you’re not sure what you want, and who would turn down a good glass of wine for $ 5.25?

Last weekend, my partner and I stopped into Still to purchase a great bar cart and we were given an invitation to Five and ¼ for wine tasting. Later that same night, after dinner out, we stopped in. We both thoroughly enjoyed the great atmosphere and vibe of his low key wine bar. The owners are extremely knowledgeable about and have curated their wine selections well. They inform you about their wines without being overbearing or snooty. The vintage glassware is really awesome and while we didn’t eat, the menu looked great. Their concept is great and they’ve got soul. Definitely a winning combination!

Excellent wine. Food was very good as well. I hope this place sticks around. Offering more food would be awesome. Highly recommend.
