Ok spot. Decent if not somewhat boring drink menu but atmosphere was laid back and nice. Didnt try the food.

I’ve heard really great things about Globe, so I was eager to try it. Hours say they open at 5pm every day, so I thought meeting a friend at 5:30pm for drinks would be fine. Apparently not… because at 5:35pm the place was pitch black and there were no signs on the door. I was bummed, so we went next door to another bar/tapas place. I still want to try this place, and will update my review once I do… assuming they’re still open!

This place was great! I do not have a single complaint! Hands down good food, and hands down good drinks! Our waiter was very nice too. This place needs a sign that says«tapas and drinks» outside, because it looks like an antique store from the outside. You’d never know what it was from across the street. Anyways, just go!

Amazing food and so affordable the veggie potstickers and the ahi tuna is AMAZING!!! Highly recommend! Tried almost every high end highly rated restaurant that is 10x more expensive and this is up there with them.

At first glance I thought this place was an antique shop. I was drawn into this store from all the cool looking furniture from the outside! To our surprise it was a charming and cozy little restaurant, that lets you sit on any furniture and eat as though you were eating in your own living room. What an awesome idea! When we walked inside the owner greeted us, took our drink orders and gave us the lunch menu. We ordered blood Mary’s to start out, the hint of A1 sauce was a different flavor than I was used to, but all the flavors blended pretty well. For lunch, we ordered the coconut shrimp and lobster tacos. Both were equally divine, I would definitely recommend! I’m excited to have found this little spot, definitely come check it out.

Delicious small appetizers, beautiful warm décor, and great service made for an excellent dining experience at Globe. The atmosphere has a very home-y feel that adds to the comfort. It was hard to narrow down the menu to a few choices, I am excited to return to try other delicious options. Highly recommend for a romantic date night or a night out with friends.

I love, love, love this place! It has such a warm vibe — a combination of the décor, lighting, and cozy seating arrangements. I’ve ended up pretty much loving everything I’ve had there. The lobster tacos are amazing. The enchiladas. Seared ahi. Cheese stuffed chilis. It’s all delicious.

My first experience of the Globe was at a private party at Christmas time. The bartenders were nice and attentive. I love the eclectic furniture and different seating arrangements. No booths here. I loved the chandeliers and enjoyed plopping down on this couch or that to join the conversation going on in that area. The pot-stickers were divine, the wine rich and deep, I had their house Cab, and I liked their skewers with beef and veggies as well. The atmosphere is so living-room casual, it feels like the pieces come from all over the place. It’s beautiful, charming, warm and cosy. I’m looking forward to coming back with a group of friends.

Brunch is the Bomb! The Rancheros & French Toast were fantastic and prepared to perfection. We had the their famous bacon is to die for…

Excellent, well priced and inviting décor… It’s tough to get it all right and serve excellent meals too– but they’ve done it(with the exception of the bar stools — they’re immense!) — overall a classy place and quality experience! Oh and make sure they garnish the Belvedere grapefruit drop!

Fun, friendly tapas place! Tried about 6 – 8 different things. Some excellent, all were good. Get the Filet bites, white corn cakes, taquitos and ribs for sure.(Skip the egg rolls) It’s an eclectic place, visually and gastronomically for sure… but even my picky steak-and-potato-loving 80 year old Dad loved it!

We really love this place. We’re visiting from the LA area and were drawn to Globe after seeing the grownup crowd and hearing the nice music. And the décor is really beautiful. We ordered a couple drinks, hot chicken wings and vegetarian potstickers. The food was delish and service friendly and timely. Definitely recommend! Especially great if you want a nice atmosphere where you can actually talk to one another.

Decent drinks. Awful smoke. There is a group of 10 – 12 people standing in the doorway smoking. Our waiter finally closed the door but it’s still coming inside and smelling up the lower half of the establishment.

Great décor and atmosphere, but that’s where it ends. The menus smell like poop. Well my friend thought it smelled like vomit– and when we brought it up to the bartender, she said she’s heard that before. WHaT — and then didn’t change them out? It was so offensive — it made us lose our appetites. But okay let’s just pick something quickly and then toss the menus. The queso fundido was agglomerated and not melty. It requires a fork or knife to spoon it on to a lame thin chip. Wasn’t worth trying anything else. Wished globe tasted as good as it looked in there

Serviceless response We came in for drink one afternoon and decided to stay for a bite. Our server brought our first round of drinks and water but quickly departed. We had to flag him down to order food. Two of the five of us ordered and while I had a menu in my hand, he did not even look over. Good thing I did not want to order. During that visit to our table, all water glasses were empty and 3 of the 5 drinks were empty. No offer for another round until the $ 10 blackened filet came out. Steak bites? Bites are right. It’s filet and only ten bucks and tasted good but there was something about the presentation. It’s not the recycled Café Luck plate from two businesses ago or the plastic ramekin an of sauce. We all felt the portion was to small. Normally the meat is a lesser $ 8 for 4, crispy wings. Good eats but again, the presentation size was lacking. Oh, and the wings came out after we were completely done with the steak bites. Bottom line is the portions are small for the slightly higher price. The table agreed the value is not there. One of the couples of our fivesome asked for a separate check When we ordered. We received one check. No problem. We can fix it and split it out for the server. Then the the restaurant’s iPhone with Square Pay would not swipe. If you’ve ever used these type of payment devices, you know the swipe is not perfect. 7 minutes and a couple of mistakes later, the bill was paid. The food, service and prices were hard to stomach but the place looks cute and that’s all that matters. Right?

I am addicted to trying out new places even when it doesn’t sound all that interesting. Most of the small plates were either Asian or Mexican inspired, such as ceviche and crab rangoon. They were all safe choices and one can find different renditions of the same dish in many other restaurants. The blood orange margarita was refreshing, but too watered down. The lamb chop was actually lamb T bone, not the nice looking chops shown on some of the pictures. They were tiny, over powered by too much rosemary, and mostly a sauteed potato and spinach dish. The ceviche was pretty good, but could use better chips. The ones I had looked like they were out of a bag. The French onion soup was rich and savory as the cook took the time to properly caramelize and soften the onion. Service was problematic. There was one bartender who seemed overworked. He was doing more work than all other front of the house staff combined. Most servers didn’t know how to enter orders into the computer, so the bartender had to enter it for them. One server was standing right next to me doing absolutely nothing and meanwhile the aforementioned bartender was flying all over the place. It didn’t occur to him that he probably should be doing something like get me some water, take my food order, or even just go help that stressed bartender. I had to be proactive and ask him to take my order. The décor was eclectic, which is a strange choice because people either love it or hate it. I won’t be too critical of the décor, but eating on coffee tables and couches wasn’t too comfortable.

Went here for a friend’s birthday. This is the latest incarnation of a great space that can never keep a business for some reason. Café Luck was okay, The Pan had small plates and good drinks, but never seemed to be open(weird licensing problems, I recall?), and now this latest from the Pascucci people. Cocktails are pricey($ 12) but not that special, watered down with too much ice. The bartender, though nice, got absolutely lost with all our orders and either overcharged(booo) or completely forgot to charge(free drinks!). Plates are small and took ages to get out of the kitchen, which should take no time for something like a hummus/baba ganoush plate. And the cheapest thing: they are using plates from Café Luck! Are you serious guys? Buy your own plates. Growing pains, or a harbinger of things to come?

Interesting atmosphere and I get the attempt to make it fun but dinner off couches and coffee tables? Doesn’t work so well. The food was okay, mediocre didnt really blow my pants off. except the wings. Never had such large or well breaded hot wings. I might come back if I am craving wings. The worst part was the horrendous service, seriously, get it together! 20 minutes to get a cocktail after ordering it, its a tiny place this shouldnt be a problem. I lost my buzz before it even started. Would be 3 stars if service wasnt so bad.

It was late, we wanted to go someplace«Classy» and we wanted food!!! So my best friend and I thought and thought. I occured to us that there is this new place next to Tropical Affair so we went. Oh it is so very nice. Beautiful décor and a warm and welcoming spot. We each ordered a drink and they were delicious, but the food! Oh was it wonderful. We shared a Chili thing and and a queso fundoozle or something like that. Oh so good and tasty. It wasn’t a gooey cheese soup like most places, it was more like a stew that you could heap on your chips and my GOD was it amazing! I am liking that block so much, They have the Palace, American Ale and Blue Agave too!!! All so fun and wonderful.

This is a great, eclectic small plates bar and restaurant with international dishes ranging from stuffed poblanos to sticky ribs, lamb chops to Mexican shrimp cocktail and chicken salad English tea sandwiches to egg rolls! The food is delicious, the house wines and drinks are tasty, and the vibe is cool. Very inviting and chic, this is a great spot to stop on your way in or out of the theater or a downtown event. You’ll love it!
