I guess you can call this Mexican food. It has all the menu items a traditional Mexican restaurant would have but, it’s definitely mission something. Flavor? Spices?(Soul)? I personally prefer chipotle any day over this. not for me On the positive it has nice portion size, fair sauce station, outside seating area with tasteful music and the service is prompt

Great for Gringos! I usually stay away from Mexican food because it makes me bloated and gives me acid reflux. I don’t know what it is about this place but I can eat a big meal without the«pepper-belly» feeling afterwards. That’s not to say it’s lacking in flavor or spice, there are plenty of Hispanics that like to eat here too. I’ve been coming here a long time and the service is always friendly and everything is clean(even the restroom.) Great selection at the salsa bar and their mild ones are packed with flavor. Also, if you come during the busy lunch hour no worries. The cook is a pro and burns right through a line quickly without being sloppy. Somehow he crafts the perfect plate every time. This is important because a lot of places in SB are slow as a turtle during the lunch hour. My favorite right now is the chicken & avocado enchiladas, but everything I’ve tried is good. This is one of the few places that’s survived many years of doing business in SB so don’t sweat the neg reviews, give it a try.

I’m very impressed with the authenticity of the food that La Salsa offers. When they say«taste the flavors of Sonora,» they definitely mean it! It is my second day in a row coming in for lunch for that same reason. The Nachos are a definite must-try. Are you a fan of Freebirds nachos? Well La Salsa’s version(dare I say it) is even BETTER and worth more for your buck! And of course, appropriately named, La Salsa has an amazing variety of salsas(both savory and sweet) which just enhance the flavors of every meal. Definitely a cool place to come any day for delicious Mexican cuisine a la Sonora Dinamita!

Nice place for good Mexican food. Stopped in for a bite before my kids soccer tournament. Near the La Colina middle school soccer fields. Service is quick and efficient. The place is clean and well maintained. We got the following: Burrito grande. It was huge and tasty. 3 taco plate with rice. Your choice of meats. Kid bean & cheese burrito meal with drink. Nachos with carnitas. All were yummy. The prices are reasonable. Large portions. We enjoyed our meal at the patio. Nice and cool and clean. And without the noise of the open kitchen.

I LOVE La Salsa. So so good. Get the carnitas tacos with some cilantro, lime juice, medium salsa and avocado salsa. Mmm mmm mmm. Beans are ok. Usually end up mixing salsa in them. Wish the salsas had more kick but flavors are still amazing Fast, relatively cheap and fresh(:

In general, La Salsa is your middle of the road, clean tasting, American style fresh mex establishment. Nothing to write home about, but decent when it’s what your craving. In their favor, they have held onto making American style Mexican rice, when even Taco Bell has gone with white rice, like Chipotle. I DEARLYANDDEEPLY miss Baja Fresh, which is a superior chain. Today, I attemted to recreate Baja Fresh’s Ultimo Burrito, by ordering La Salsa’s Fajita Burrito with grilled peppers and onions, chicken, rice, sour cream, and roasted tomato salsa(decent salsa, BF is better). Check out the picture, as it turned out decently. The veggies were somewhat chewy, and the tortilla was thick and gummy in places(I think I’ll ask them to grill it next time). Not a perfect creation, but it will hold me over until I can venture to Telephone road in Ventura for Baja Fresh. Thanks, folks.

Tortillas for the tacos not heated well. Attendant was distracted. Had to repeat my order three times for three different things. And what I wonder about was why I had to get up get my food while the servers walked over to the other customers table to dropped their food to them? Maybe race is the? I’m Hispanic but not Mexican and they are use to serving the Caucasian? I have no problem of getting my food but I like equal treatment. The pork meat was good.

Can’t go wrong for the Monday Mexico city dollar tacos! Although I will say prices have been getting abut higher, it’s still a good place to head for lunch, fast mostly affordable and good tasting chain Mexican food.

I came here a few times, and I typically get some type of steak burritto. Whenever I go here the steak is super tough. It hurts my teeth how much I need to chew the tough meat. Also the salsa taste a bit funny. The last time I came here my credit card was charged 3x for my one purchase which they said was due to a malfunction with their machine. Anyways they did fix it, so it was fine. This parking lot is always so crowded since it houses a lot of great shops. Overall, I would rather go to chipolte, even baja fresh for a better meal at pretty much the same price.
