The location is great and the place spacious. The food however is below average. My buffalo mozzarella were hard and not fresh, the ravioli with spinach ricotta overcooked — shouldn’t be like that for 13 $ each dish

I’ve never had such a terrible meal at the new PAscucci in Goleta. The service was awful. Incredibly slow. We received 6 salads on three separate trips to the table — we only ordered 3, although only 2 came together. I was served raw shrimp on a pasta that I didn’t order and the waitress questioned if I had told her the wrong item even though I told her and pointed to it on the menu as she looked over my shoulder and copied from the menu. One of my companions order a burger that was so over cooked she couldn’t swallow it and is taking it home to the dogs. She told the waitress it was terrible and she just said«oh». There was no concession made for these terrible meals. I understand they have only been open a few days but they didn’t lower the price because of that. Certainly not recommended!

Had dinner at Goleta location tonight. You know things are going to take a bad turn when the bartender comps your drink while your waiting for table. My friend was served RAW shrimp in pasta that she did not order. I tried a burger that was supposed to be on ciabatta bread. It was on a rock hard bun and so well done I literally choked on it. My salad was served on the piping hot plate with my burger, so it was wilted and warm. Ordered phyllo triangles that we barely cooked. «Prawns» were the size of a dime/nickel. Busboy only one who seemed to care. Downtown isn’t bad so you’d think they could pull off a second Resturant. NOTEVEN! Don’t waste your time at either one. The best thing they do is sell salad dressing in the grocery store. And that was another restaurants recipe that they bought. 2 thumbs down. Don’t even deserve one star.

Cute little Italian restaurant located in downtown SB. There are so many choices of spaghetti you have no idea where to start. I wanted to try them all since I haven’t ordered one that I didn’t like. Will def be bringing more people when they visit. Highly recommended !

Hands down the best caesar salad I’ve ever had. Seriously. This is the only place where I contemplate ordering just a giant caesar for my meal because it is THATGOOD. The garlic bread is amazing as well. I can often go through a few bins by myself. Heh. Pasta is good. I usually get the ravioli with the almalfi sauce. But, the stars are the garlic bread and the caesar salad! The lemonade is very good as well. It tastes very fresh. I’m very excited for the Goleta location to open soon.

Great food, price is reasonable, and typically pretty quick. I really like coming to this restaurant. I’m sitting here right now as I write this review while having a late lunch at the bar and I just watched a Hispanic man, who was working the front door and seating people, pour himself a fairly large glass of wine. After he made himself a drink from the bar area he then proceeded to take a sip then sit at the kitchen bar where he continued folding napkins. After a few minutes he checked on a family that was seated and eating to see if they needed anything. He is acting like this is a regular routine of his. Pretty wild. Haven’t seen the employees drinking so blatantly here before. Bummer.

No complaints here! I had great service! The bread was delicious as well as the salad! I decided on the chicken Parmesan and have never had better anywhere! I would recommend this menu and restaurant for anyone looking for a true Italian dining experience!

As far as Italian goes, you can’t go wrong with Pascucci’s. Everything from their décor to their menu screams old school Italian. With several fire places and red velvet cushioned chairs, you are basically transported to Italy! The food is great as well! There are so many great things to choose from, but I usually go with the«Risotto Carbonaro» — this one isn’t on the menu anymore, but they’ll still make it if you ask for it! It has pancetta, mushrooms and peas… just delicious! A must try for all of those Italian enthusiasts out there! Bön Apetit!

OMGBESTEVER We’d been here for lunch on a previous trip and I got the verona panini and couldn’t wait to get it again. On this trip we returned for lunch and I got the same thing, it did not disappoint! We were trying to find a restaurant for dinner and just could not decide so we returned again. I got the spaghetti carbonara and was skeptical because it isn’t made with an egg, but it was the BEST!

Pascucci is a great place to grab a bite on upper state Santa Barbara. The staff is nice, presentable, and you will receive exceptional service. It’s semi pricey, but its not going to cost much more than your typical restaurant in Santa Barbara. For a great dinner in Santa Barbara, Pascucci will provide you with excellent food. No matter what you order, I’m sure you will be pleased. Complementary garlic bread was definitely a plus. Pretty decent atmosphere, can get pretty crowded on the weekends. Location is amazing, the restaurant is right on the State Street, which is an easy location to find no matter where you are coming from in town. Lots of great pasta combinations and options! My favorite dish is the Bellagio which is Farfalle pasta with smoked chicken, mushrooms, red onions, sun-dried tomatoes, and roasted garlic-Parmesan cream sauce. Buon appetito!

Very disappointed with Pascucci, later… I’ve been coming to this place for 5 years now and never had issues. I remember the times when we would split a big salad and order each an entrée; the salad that I remember was generous in portion(Antipasto large $ 13.99)and had lot of toppings: garbanzo, pepperoncinis, salami, kalamata olives, tomatoes… The salad that we got recently was a skimpy chopped salad with literally 4 pieces of garbanzos, a few 2 millimeters square pieces of salami, cheese, pepperoncinis and olives. The whole quantity of salad toppings would fit in a tablespoon. Overall salad it was tasty but too skimpy on the ingredients;it seems absolute ridicule and I should have stopped my order there, pay the bill and walked away. Instead we continued on our skimpy diner experience. We always order pasta or fish, but this time we had a thing for pizza and wanted to give it a try, not to mention that the pizza options seemed to be out of ordinary: goat cheese, artichokes, kalamata olives, smoked salmon, capers –all gourmet toppings. After having the bad experience with the small –petite– minion-mini-salad our pizza arrived and it’s nothing more than a big water cracker with some shaved toppings on… On one side was burnt, it was actually crispier than a water cracker! We had 2 glasses of wine(again MINUSCULE) and $ 78 later it seemed like our italian diner went wrong, so wrong. What happened?
I shouldn’t have accepted to pay for this, it was so different than what I have used to. Next time when I’m heading to SB I’m gonna skip them and find a better place where to spend $ 80 and actually have some food! Service was ok but it could be better. Also the sitting was bad;they have some small booths for 2 where there is no room to keep your feet underneath the table. PS= the cherry on top: when we got the bill we were charged $ 2 for splitting our petite salad; I didn’t know if I wanted to laugh or to cry! I just want to finish the review here because I’m so frustrated with this experience!

We had seen good pictures and thought we’d give it a chance. The food was alright at best. But to us was very bland. For apps, we tried the garlic pear and Brie. Good attempt but missing the sweet fruit. We could hardly taste the pear that was supposed to compliment the savory Brie. The roasted whole garlic was nice though. I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara and my boyfriend had the Cortina. We asked for chili pepper flakes and used a lot of pepper to do what we could. I hate to say this, but I feel that even Bucca di Beppo, a Italian chain restaurant, tastes better. Service was a bit lacking. We came at noon into a mostly empty restaurant. The waitress seated us, a young couple, all the way in the back room out of sight from everything. There was only one more table already there before us. We were constantly trying to find service or praying someone would come into the back room to check if anyone needed anything. Everyone was friendly, don’t get me wrong, but getting someone’s attention was inconvenient. The restaurant smells a little where we were. Could be the old furniture and musty cushions.

The thing about Pascucci’s is it doesn’t taste like traditional Italian food, nor is it decorated in true Tuscan fashion. The décor is cheesy and the food is over seasoned, but if you accept the restaurant for what it is, it’s perfect. *Garlic bread(free!) served to every table with a little cheese on top. Dip it in a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar and you just may spoil your dinner. *Tortellini Carbonara– great entrée for the pasta lovers who enjoy a cheese tortellini with a thick flavorful sauce sprinkled with bacon bits. This is my favorite item on the menu! *Service– tends to be hit or miss, but mostly miss. Long lines/lots of tables/small staff means a lot of requests are forgotten and the experience isn’t personal. Overall, great place to take someone you like if you’re in undergrad at UCSB. Past 23, step up your game homie.

Best lasagna I’ve ever had. This has become a tradition for me whenever I go to Santa Barbara: go to Pascucci and order their lasagna. I’ve ordered some of their salads too and they were all really good. Their complimentary garlic bread is to die for. The reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because they should upgrade their furniture a little bit. It has a vintage, charming look to it for sure but instead of duck taping a rip on the chair, they should just replace it with a new one.

We decided to go here for an early dinner because we were disappointed in our recent food adventures. J assumed that if it was a fancier restaurant, the food can’t suck as much. Boy, was he wrong. There were maybe 5 groups eating in the main area when we arrived. Not a big deal since most people do not eat dinner at 4PM. We were seated at a half circle velvet booth. I liked the concept of the half circle table because you can be right next to your date and still see each other. However, the space is really crowded. Only 1 person can fit in the aisle between our half circle table and the normal couple booth against the wall. The strange part was that our table faces the other table. I understand that they do have these big drapes/curtains in order to create some privacy, but I feel like they may want to reconsider their set up to avoid awkwardness. Of course, they do not have to worry about this issue if they assume that they will never have a full house. J ordered the scampi, which is a dinner special, for $ 21.99. On the menu, they stated that you can’t share the dinner special. I guess they don’t want people coming in and ordering only one dish. But after the dish came out, it was such a physically small portion that you couldn’t share it anyways. On the menu, tiger prawns were listed as the ingredient but the shrimps were definitely not tiger prawns as they were very small. The grilled asparagus was so shriveled that I couldn’t tell there were 6 of them. The whole presentation of the dish looked ghetto even though it didn’t taste too bad. I ordered the senai and got two chicken breasts for almost $ 18, with most of my plate covered with the bland Italian broccoli. Not only was the food mediocre, our server was never present. Even though we sat right next to the cash register, no one really came to fill our water glasses or asked if we needed anything. We had to get someone’s attention to order and to pay the check. Since we sat by the cash register, we could see our server and other servers texting on their phone at the bar area. This experience really made tipping feel like a generous donation. Due to the mediocre food and poor service, I don’t think I will ever return. For the amount of money I spent here, I would rather go to Olio instead.

Yesterday I decided to come check out this place and try it for the first time. Parking was not bad(weekday), you will have to enter a parking structure and it is right under the shops. The setting of the restaurant is placed in a European background. I was seated near the door next to this giant wardrobe(that is what in think it is). The doors was open and the cool breeze entered and it felt very relaxing. It gives you this feeling of a place you would spend time alone and just relax. While browsing through the menu there is a huge amount of selections so it took me a while. I wanted something light so I chose Sicily on the menu. Many of the names on the menu are named after famous places so I thought it was pretty cool. Sicily comes with grilled fresh swordfish steak with mango salsa. Served with mixed vegetables & ginger sesame risotto… $ 16.99 They Note: the swordfish is a firm fish. It was firm but it felt was really filling. The swordfish was complimented with the mango salsa which gave a light taste. The risotto that was complimented with the mixed vegetables was just fantastic. It had a Smokey essence with a creamy texture. Mixing both the fish and the risotto was just heavenly. I would recommend this plate to anyone.
