The Dailey Method

I hate working out. Like, hate. But, this place is addicting!
It’s hard as hell, and you definitely sweat, but the class is set up with stretching throughout and you’re cooled down enough at the end to slap on some deodorant and go grab a well-​earned meal with friends. Deceiving in how small the motions look, TDM works muscles so deeply and really forces you to work outside your comfort zone (embrace the healthy shake). Teachers give modification options if you need to slow down or work at a different level, to make everyone feel comfortable, whether it’s their first class or fifth year of class.
Though classes are generally an hour long, they fly by and the fun music and fabulous instructors make it enjoyable. I’m converted and glad I’ve ended my strategic avoidance. Thanks for (gently) forcing me to go, Michelle!
Social media contests and the 60 day challenge are money. Such great motivation and community to keep it up!

One of the happiest places in town! Happy because of how toned I’m getting, the joyous instuctors and ever-​changing workout challenges. I belong to a gym, but TDM gives me more results.

Working out at The Dailey Method is a fantastic experience! The facility is very clean, instructors helpful and friendly, there is great childcare, and I get a challenging workout every time I go. I cannot say enough good things!

I love the Dailey Method! The staff are friendly and welcoming. After my first week the owner called me personally to see what I thought of the classes and get my feedback. That level of customer service really impressed me– there is no hint of pretension despite the varying skill levels & ages of the participants. After several months I am getting stronger, which is my goal. It’s always a challenge with various circuits and never boring. I am thankful for such a wonderful place here in SB to meet my fitness goals.

New to the area, I decided to give this place a go and went with the unlimited 1 month package. I’ve tried Barre-​type classes all over the place, and know no two barre classes are the same! I have been going 3 – 4 times a week for the past 3 weeks and can already feel myself getting stronger and tighter. The classes are taught by various teachers, and usually include using a set of light weights and sometimes the ball and/​or band. I especially like the «barre-​interval» classes that include more of a cardio approach that get me sweating! I would definitely recommend this place, guaranteed sore muscles :)

The teachers are amazing at TDM! Everyone is really helpful and the studio is spotless! I love the classes and always feel like they are small enough to still get personal attention and corrections on form. There are tons of class times to pick from… I love the music and format of the classes.

Awesome workout, it changes your body within weeks! I love how fresh and clean the studio feels, and they have childcare! Can’t beat it, highly recommend!

I LOVE the Santa Barbara Dailey Method. I love the fact that I can get a complete balanced workout in one hour with great instructors that give attention to body alignment to prevent injury and that there is a great emphasis on stretching.
The studio is clean and the staff friendly. There is a great changing room and shower with clean towels if I need to refresh after a class.
I have been a member for a year now and love the new hours and look forward to the new advance classes coming in April.

This is a great exercise program for toning your entire body. I’ve done it for about six months now and I’m always sore the day after. The instructors are really nice, know you by name immediately and are always mixing things up and pushing you to get stronger. The facilities are really beautiful and clean and they also offer childcare which is great on a regular basis or if you’re in a pinch! I highly recommend trying it out and sticking with it, you will get noticeable results quickly!

The Dailey Method is a great workout that gives a perfect balance of strength training and recovery via stretching. The facility is large, and unlike the other barre classes downtown, there is a full locker room and shower. It’s centrally located in town so it’s not too out of the way for down-​towners or Goleta-​ans. The staff is very friendly and focused on helping to perfect form, giving you the best workout possible.

The Dailey Method is a great place to go for an amazing workout with a community feel. You are your biggest challenge. At the Dailey Method, they meet you where you are at and you build from there. They are mindful of injuries and not only aim to prevent them but incorporate stretching throughout the class to eliminate the potential injury by strength training and alignment training. They have a friendly, involved staff and child care available during class.

The Dailey Method is unlike anywhere else I’ve ever exercised. I was hooked after just one class, and like it more and more each time I go! I have been so impressed with the instructors, the facilities, and the quality of workout.
The instructors are very friendly, remember you by name, and provide individual help to maximize your workout experience.
The studio is always clean and has very nice amenities including lockers you can set with an individual pass code. No having to remember a lock or hope your stuff is safe while you exercise.
The workout not only provides strengthening exercises that challenge you more than you could ever imagine, they also include stretching, balance, and lots of core building, and are suitable for all skill levels. In just a few classes I noticed my balance improving, and always feel great after I attend!

All the instructors are fabulous. They each have a unique personality to top off the dailey method exercises. They are very personal and remember names and faces too! It is definitely an hour well spent with a full body workout. This place offers towels, water and even a shower, if needed. The location is central and way easier to park in than «the other barr»

The Dailey Method is a FABULOUS workout. Every single time, I get a different workout, and I have been doing it for over a year. I love the fact that it feels like personal training. My body has gotten stronger and leaner.

Amazing place for great barre workouts! Friendly, knowledgable, and encouraging staff who remember you by name and create a nice community with a lovely and clean environment. The staff, child care, small class size and separate free parking lot really set this studio apart.
As a beginner, I’ve been in classes elsewhere where I felt like I was totally lost and doing everything wrong. But with the small, personalized classes here the instructor always has an eye on you and will verbally or physically help you out as you learn and get the hang of things. Try it out!

I love this studio! I have been taking classes for about 2 months now and I have seen amazing results from this workout. The facility is very clean, provides lockers, towels, and a very welcoming atmosphere. All of the instructors are very knowledgable and always help you perfect your form so that you get the best workout and results possible. I have tried so many different types of workouts and initially started taking classes due to an injury from triathlons. I have never seen such amazing results from any class before, I am hooked and encourage anyone looking to tighten, tone, and get in amazing shape to try this place out:)

The Dailey method is a great work out. I have gone off and on to this studio for about 6 months now. The workout room can be a little small for large groups. The instructors are great, I especially like Sara. There is a locker room with free lockers and shower facilities. Parking can be tight on weekends.

Ever since I took my first class I’ve been hooked to The Dailey Method lifestyle. The class combines every type of workout you need for your body from cardio to weight training. The Santa Barbara Studio is an extremely welcoming environment for every client. Especially when it is your first class, the instructor is there by your side to coach you through your first class. I’ve been in other studios where it feels intimidating to take a class with other clients who are at advanced levels – but you just don’t have that attitude in the SB studio. Everyone is extremely positive with the same goal in mind to maintain a healthier lifestyle. It is one full hour of a total body workout including the stretching you need for recovery. Even though I have been coming to TDM for quite some time, I am still energized and excited to take a class because the instructors mix up their routines and music TDM works muscles in your body that you never thought you had, and if you keep it up you are bound to see results. You’ll leave the class happy that you took an hour out of your day dedicated to TDM, and you will only want more! In addition, there are always great deals on pricing to help you get motivated to come after your first class, including student discounts or monthly challenges. With their welcoming staff, clean studio, friendly clientele, and positive instructors, the TDM studio is one of the best fitness studios you will find in Santa Barbara.

The Dailey Method is a great hour workout for your body. The barre studio uses different types of exercises to work your legs, arms, core, and butt! The workouts definitely leave you feeling sore and energized.
The studio is super clean and the staff is friendly.
Compared to the Bar Method in Santa Barbara, the Dailey Method studio beats it 2:1. The Bar Method has a similar concept to the Dailey Method in its exercises, but the Bar Method facility downtown is dirty (mirrors not clean, questionable foam mats, etc) and parking is on the street or in the parking structures. The Dailey Method studio is always shiny and clean and they have their own dedicated parking lot. The Dailey Method studio also has a larger bathroom facility, full with restrooms, shower, and lockers and they offer child care.
I would recommend trying out classes with different instructors to see which one you like the best :)
