Great place to chill out. They’re servers are sweet, always very attentive no matter how busy they are. The bar is well stocked. Sometimes the crowd can be rowdy, but that’s what happens when you go to a place with cheap alcohol. :)

Changed their name to Secret. Service was excellent. Food was good. Private room with karaōke was even better. I would come back here again.

Cool atmosphere, check. Asian crowd, mostly dressed up, girls lookin’ nice, check. Soju, neat and in yogurt mixers, check. Good buzz, check. This place was most recently called Hue, but is now called the Answer. What was the question? I don’t know, and I don’t really care as long as this place keeps its anchor position as the more loungy and less jail-baity version of VIP on El Camino. Fun place to hang out with your friends, watch skinny asian girls get progressively more ghetto, and snack on some wings, kim chee fried rice. Can get pretty crowded, and the tables are super close together so sometimes you may be literally stepping over people to get out.

Hmmm… what can I say about Hue lounge or should I call it Answer karaōke and lounge now. This was the third stop of the night during last Saturdays fiasco with my friends and I. Answer/Hue Lounge opens at 7 P.M. and we went here after our Sake bombs at the Sushi Boat in Valley Fair. The place has changed from the last time I here. The main entrance door now has a large vertical«ANSWER» sign. The lounge are has change a little with the chairs they have but the table is the same. The bar area is the same. The back area is what change the most with 5 or 6 rooms for karaōke. The menu still says Hue on it and the price for everything on the menu is the same from the last time I was here which was almost a year ago. The Service is ehhhh… We were carded by one of the workers upon arriving inside and were sat at the lounge area. They waited while we decided what we wanted and all we wanted was Strawberry soju that cost $ 20(price for any flavored soju). They were just hanging out at the lounge area and didn’t even give us the check when we were done. I had to go to them at the bar area and pay. The Strawberry soju was good but was blended with ice which I didn’t like. NOTE: it’s CASHORCREDIT!!!

The place doesn’t look great from the outside, but in the inside, it’s a decent looking lounge. Plenty of seats. Good place to go with a group if you want to have drinks and conversate. They have flavored soju and a bunch of appetizers. Had the guava, strawberry, pineapple, and yogurt soju. I liked the yogurt one as it reminded me of Yakult, but I didn’t taste much of the alcohol in it. Tried their fried chicken and fries. The fried chicken had a sweet glaze to it, which was pretty good, but I wished it was the salty kind instead. Fries were just fries. Nothing special. Service is attentive. They’ll never leave you alone with empty plates or glasses.

I think after the renovations and remodeling they did, this place is ok now but I really should give it more than 3 stars since its one of the only KBars around here that our group actually frequents. Before, Hue was pretty much a dump with very gross couches and sticky tables, but now it’s sleek with crazy laser shows and nice low /coffee table type lounge areas. The waitresses still remain the same and they are still very stickler about checking ID even after you just stepped outside and came back in from taking a call … yes somehow I became not 21 after I stepped outside … Anyway, the drinks are reasonable but they have weird minimums when you want to sit in the back corners despite it being the same setup. It’s great for after dinner hang out and they DO have yummy kimchi fried rice, but aside from that it’s really not comparable to KBars in SoCal.

This place is fairly large compared to VIP and the DJ here actually plays really good music. People do dance, but they won’t until they are usually wasted haha. Drinks and food are on the expensive side. a pitcher of flavored soju cost $ 22 and the small bottles for shots costs $ 13. My buddy ordered a Hennesy and Coke, and it was listed at $ 10 on the menu, yet he found out afterwards that he was charged $ 39 for three of them. Kinda shady. They play a good mix of music ranging from top 40 to house/electro. And although there is enough room to dance, nobody really is besides the intoxicated people. I wouldn’t call it a dance floor, but the option is there if you desire to! People wise, it ranges from obviously underrage to mid 20s. I don’t know how easy it is to get in here, but i felt like there was definitley some 18 – 19 year olds hanging out in here by the way they look and acted. 95% Asian but its interesting watching fobs dance. hahaha Overall, Its an decent spot to chill and drink at, but it’s just not my type of scene. I prefer vietnamese quan nhau’s anyways lol.

For some reason, the flavored soju seemed watered down. Definitely didn’t like that. A pitcher was $ 20. Pricy. I’m used to places having a pitcher for about $ 14. The manager lady came over and said she recognized me as a regular. Funny, it was my first time here. The décor is pretty nice in here and the neighboring table’s food smelled pretty good.

A sad review about the over-priced drinks at this venue. While some of the servers are friendly and accommodating, the bartender failed with any effort he made. We ordered kamikaze drinks at the bar. The waitress told us it was $ 12. Bartender charged us $ 13 and claimed tax was added to the total. And the kamikaze didn’t have the proper coloration found in the usual mix. It was very off :/ The snacks are average, depending on how drunk you are, and if you’re in desperate need of munchies. The only plus is that there’s no cover charge(guessing the drink prices make up for this). There’s a small dance floor, but people are usually found huddled in small groups or around the seats. Pre-gaming is a definite must if you want good drinks.

I’ve been here a handful of times and I cant say that I’ve ever been dissappointed. Servers are nice, seating can be a bit crowded, the soju is good. A pitcher of flavored soju is $ 22.kind of pricey but with a good group of friends, it doesnt matter because pitchers will be coming along all night long. I love their strawberry, yogurt, and peach soju. I’ve tried the pineapple and it tastes too hefty for my liking. Food is overpriced but you’ll want to order the french fries, chicken wings, and seafood pancake! Delicious!

Pretty comfy lounge, serving flavored soju for $ 22 a pitcher. Had the strawberry and yogurt, both were pretty sweet, you cant even taste the soju. They had a small dance floor set up in the center, and they play radio hit songs. Despite the bartender mistcounting a 100 bill. it was still a nice place to chill and hang out with friends. As expected bathroom lines are long and dirty, fyi. Can get really packed that you might not even get a table, and also needs more ventilation.

My friends Kevin and Raymond suggested I do my birthday party here to promote the place since the renovation. Since I was planning to do it at our regular place across the street that sells exactly the same things, I decided to give this place a try. I must admit, on the outside, it looked ghetto and old. ONTHEINSIDE, there were very many lounge chairs and a nice bar area. There was some room for dancing and 2 bathrooms. The drinks were not too pricey from what I remember. Everyone who came to my birthday event seemed to have a great time. Everyone was drunk, dancing, and running around the place catching up with old friends. I really really enjoyed myself. The reason why I do not give it 5 stars is because even though I had about 50 people come to my birthday event, they wouldn’t let us sit in a bigger section unless we paid $ 200 to reserve it. Then they said if later on in the night if no one reserves it, THENAFTERTHAT anyone could sit there and they wouldn’t have to pay the $ 200. I just wished they hooked it up more if I brought 50 people in for them to help their business. AND nobody even paid $ 200 that night for those roomy lounge areas that night. My friends and I got there before it got busy, we couldn’t sit there. I don’t think they open the reserved section until close til the end of the night when it doesn’t matter anymore. Either way, my friends were scattered throughout the place anyway so it really wasn’t a big deal. We just took up all the mini lounge areas by the bar and still had a great time. The soju there tastes like candy, and then totally creeps up on you 45 minutes later. It was $ 22 for the soju and it made about 6 rounds of drinks for 4 – 5 people. SUPERGOOD. I had a WONDERFUL time because all my friends were there to celebrate my birthday and graduation. But I don’t know how the crowd vibe it on a normal, non-event night. Overall– the pricing is okay, the service is cool, the décor is lovely, and the music is great. If you wanna go out with a group of friends and just enjoy a few rounds of soju, this is a cool place to be.

After a night of partying on NYE with a large party of friends, I have to say… wonderful evening full of fun! The first few years when the place had opened, the venue was in need of renovations. A danky looking lounge, short drink list and food, scattered tables and chairs. Nothing that made me want to come back. However, my friends wanted to celebrate NYE here telling me they made many improvements and renovations. I have to say… well done! They now have large swanky booths, deep tones of black and red paints and décor, better lighting with the large HUE sign in the backroom as their backdrop glowing in the dark, they have buttons to call for your host/hostess, menu items are exceptional, DJs and events are thrown each week, music is much better, and they also have HAPPYHOUR! It’s a definite turnaround for me to want to come back and enjoy a chill evening or dance the night away from downtown SJ or Santana Row. Hidden gem in Santa Clara’s finest Korea-town! Happy hour ALLDAY from Monday-Wednesday and 7pm-10pm on Thursdays! Get a bottle of soju or pitcher of beer and any food item under $ 10 for only $ 14! Cool deal right?! Don’t tell them I told ya! It was a best kept secret until now!

I had heard lots of mixed reviews about Hue and finally had the chance to visit on a Friday night. We arrived around 10pm and there were no lines. Bouncer let us in without any cover. The place is newly renovated and looks very chic. Beautiful bar area with lots of lounge seating. Service was good and the waitresses checked up on us frequently. They played Top 40, making this a great place to just chill and hang out with your friends. The drinks were super cheap. I tried the infamous strawberry soju and it was delightful. I thought it wasn’t strong enough but I’m sure it was a creeper as I was very happy at the end of the night after just 1 pitcher. Next time I’ll be sure to try some of the food items on the menu. I had food envy watching other tables get their food. Minus 1 star as they mixed up our bill with a few other tables. Also, there’s no place to dance!

I’ve been to Hue twice. Both experiences were different. I went here on NYE and this place was crowded. It was probably so crowded because they didn’t charge cover like many other places do. During NYE, the bathroom wait was insane. I stood in line for about 25 minutes which was ridiculous. The men even had to stand in line to use the restroom. It got to the point where I couldn’t wait anymore so some men offered to let me use their restroom. Anyhow, during NYE, they had a dance floor area where you could get your groove on. During my second visit, there was no dance floor. People were sitting down and hanging out. I came here for my sister’s birthday so I decided to buy her Grey Goose with cranberry juice and it cost me $ 13. The drink was definitely not worth the price since it didn’t seem like there was any alcohol in it. I’m not sure if I’ll come back here again anytime soon.

Hue Lounge remodeled a few months ago and I love it! If you are into going to lounges with a nice décor to it, this is the place to go. I seriously feel like I am in Asia when I come here now with all the strobe lights going on. I love their colors of black and red, their leather seats and leather booths. Everything is so spacious but enjoyable. The music here is always awesome. Staff is friendly and prompt. Gotta remember to love the bell to ring them waiters to you!

Hue lounge is comfortable place to go grab a bite and drink with your friends. Its location is sort of hard to find due the the small sign they have. I came here for a friend birthday and we ordered many flavors of soju. Since I do not drink, most of my friend said the flavored strawberry soju was the best and the one they did not like the most was the mango flavored. Most of the food they served is finger food. We ordered fries, chicken wings, and fried rice. It tasted alright just like any other place. Nothing too special. I only suggest to go here if you want to drink and chill. They do play good music and have a DJ after 10pm.

They renovated it. Now the seats in the back have a $ 200 minimum table charge, they’ve cleared some floor space, invited a DJ, and have techno music playing on Thursdays. I am getting too old for this. Making my way in the world today takes everything I’ve got, and taking a break from all my worries sure would help alot. I would like to get away, ’cause sometimes I just want to go everybody knows my name, and they’re always glad I came… This new hue is not that place. :’(

I came here for a birthday. It was actually random and came here after we had dinner. I actually really like the place. It was stylish, roomy, and that service button under the tables is like an extra bonus! The service is pretty darn good, they have lots of couches and booths which is quite nice. We were seated in some gigantic booth that fit 8 people. All we had here were drinks. Soju and OB all night long. The drinks are a little more expensive here. Especially their shots/mixed drinks. I would come back here again if my friends wanted to come here. I wouldn’t come here on my own since the crowd is definitely more asian and I stick out like a sore thumb.

I thought all Asians can do math. Not the people who work here, apparently. First of all… $ 200 for a bottle of liquor that costs $ 20 at the grocery store? What is this, a Vegas club? Naw, we’ll stick to your overpriced, watered down soju drinks. Our bill was supposed to be $ 250ish. However, the bill came back as $ 450. We paid, walked out the door, and then someone in our party was thankfully sober enough to notice that our bill was RIDICULOUS. We went back inside, and sure enough, they recalculated and found out that they ripped us off for $ 200+. I bet they do this kind of thing all the time, taking advantage of the drunk patrons who are too sloshed to do the math. Yes, they gave us a refund. but this is such a HUGE miscalculation that I feel like maybe they did this intentionally??? By the way, the place is 95% GUYS, especially when you notice that there are no women in line for the bathroom but there’s a long men’s line. Yay Silicon Valley… *sarcasm*
