I come here almost everyday especially Monday’s. They have 2 locations on campus. One in the main building and one in the new building, the Gilmore Center. My go to place for a quick pick me up before class or studying. Karla, with a K, is a great barista and knows how to brew coffee. Every time I see her she is always ready to help me. She provides great business ethics by cleaning up and replenishing during her down time. Also works under pressure when she is by herself in the morning with the morning rush! Very professional with her customer service and sweet demeanor. I always always always get the ham and cheese croissant. And I also get the red bull over ice with 3 pumps of raspberry, if I don’t get coffee. If you have night class and the cafeteria is not open you should stop by KJ Café. They now have more selection of food like sandwiches, salads and burritos that they didn’t have before. Very convenient, fast and tasty.

Everything here is a little over priced. The only reason I go here is because of the convenience.

I always get hungry during my 830 am class because I never get up early enough to make myself breakfast. It’s a 3 hr class so LUCKILY we usually get a break in the middle! And lately, this is exactly where I head the minute break begins. I’m not really a fan of their passion iced tea, but their soy café latte is DELICIOUS. I walked back to the classroom and I couldn’t tell what smelled SOGOOD as I was sitting down, and then I realized it was my drink! This tiny little drink kept me going for the rest of class and I couldn’t get over how delectable it was. I’ve tried their organic cookies, not really a fan, but that’s really a personal preference.(I guess the coffee thing is too, haha) The ladies that work here always seem to be busy socializing, both with each other and on the phone. They still maintain a friendly atmosphere though. Saves me the trouble of going to Starbucks, and it was delicious! :)

well they sell organic food! a medium size of packaged cookie(soft texture, not a hard bite) made by organic flour with variety of options: oat, butter, honey?! good to have kj’s café in campus that does business with organic food manufacturer — total $ 6.15 with a large white mocha

It is open for business way before the cafeteria. For once I actually wanted something to eat rather than a carbonated beverage today; I can get from the vending machine anytime. I have early class on Mondays and Wednesdays so on days that I forget to bring my protein shake or my protein bar, I can come here and grab a bagel or a muffin or a croissant. they have a variety of cookies too but I stayed away from that today. I never see their full selections probably because things get sold pretty quickly over here. I was one of the few first customers this morning and I got a jalapeño bagel w/cream cheese. the lady made me feel good by calling me, «Honey» and I know it doesn’t mean anything but it was still nice to be called that, haha. There is a microwave and a 4 slot-toaster thing right beside the kiosk so that’s where I warmed up my yummy bagel. Aside from pastries, they serve coffee(like Starbucks) and tea, have a variety of protein bars, candies, potato chips, gum/mints, and Cup O Noodles ooh and before I forget, sodas and I think they have juice too. Service can be slow since there is 1 person man-handling the register and the drinks.

I come here pretty much every morning. It’s nice to have some breakfast options right on campus. The coffee is good and I normally get a bagel w/cream cheese, a croissant, and a water. The one bummer about this place is that they run out of product really quickly in the morning. I’ve gotten used to the fact that most of the time I won’t be able to get a plain bagel and instead have to get a poppyseed one. Beside that they are friendly and it’s not ridiculously overpriced which keeps me going back.

I’m so glad KJ’s Café is on campus, I usually stop by for a drink before going to dance practice. The lady(I think her name is Katherine?) is very nice. If you don’t get a receipt for your transaction, then it’s free! :) What I love about them is that they are very environmental friendly. All their products are from recycled material *thumbs up* I like sweet drinks so I usually get the Passion Fruit Iced Tea & ask them to put a pump of Mango Syrup in it. It’s sweet, fruity, and delicious ^__^ V Besides Coffee & Tea, they also have baked goods, sandwiches, cookies & brownies, sushi, hummus plate… everything but the kitchen sink. Jk, they don’t have everything but they have a lot to offer for a campus coffee«cart»

Used to be a time when that back gate was left open; that little people gate that led from Mission College to Mercado and all the food options therein. Sure a heck-ton of people figured out that they could park back there for a semester and not have to buy a parking permit. Shoot, parking behind Mercado was closer to campus than Mission’s own parking lot. Of course, proximity to a movie theatre and a non-ID-vigilant bar probably stalled out my edumakashunal momentum. But now that gate is closed off. So, in the middle of a 5-hour summer school class, if I get a little thirsty/hungry, KJ’s Café is the soul option. Not bad for a massive, glorified coffee cart. Coffee, pastries, smoothies. Packaged sammiches, salads, sushi, wraps, fruit, bottled beverages. Cup-o-Noodle. Etc. Not bad and not [horribly] expensive. __________________________________ But no, really, trying to trudge through Steinbeck with a roomfull of jack-tards REQUIRES beer.
