The best tofu I’ve ever had… they make it fresh and tasty enough that it can be eaten raw. The mushroom infused«meatballs» are insanely yummy. Prices are great!

Big fan of their teriyaki tofu, and I don’t even enjoy teriyaki sauce that much! I chanced upon Toofu at the mountain view farmers market, and fell in love at my first sample bite ;) The teriyaki tofu makes a great afternoon diet snack, or toppings for salad. Mm, can’t wait to get more!

I religiously buy their tofu every week, usually at the Campbell Farmers Market on Sundays but I do go to the Sunnyvale one if I can’t go to a farmers market on a Sunday. Over the past few years I’ve been just getting their regular tofu, but I have tried their teriyaki tofu, their kimchi and soymilk too(which are all great). Prior to my ritual of buying the regular tofu, I used to alway get the tofu poppers which were great in salads or even cooked in tomato sauce like meatballs for pasta. Because I’m a regular customer, it’s already known what I will be getting! I do always appreciate the extra care in the ice water wetness being wiped away prior to the tofu being handed over.

First let me say I really like tofu, it’s my favorite protein. This place makes the best tofu snacks! I grab a couple containers of it at farmer’s market and snack on it when I get hungry throughout the week. Both the marinated flavors taste delicious and the tofu texture itself is excellent. I also have the matcha soy milk sometimes, and that is delicious as well. Perfect to accompany me while I browse through the rest of farmer’s market offerings. A little on the pricey side — the soy milk is $ 4 and the marinated tofu is $ 5. You’re definitely paying for quality though!

this tofu is ammmmmmazzing. I don’t think words can describe the taste of this tofu-the texture, the flavor– unlike any other bland tofu I’ve had. I’ve been coming to the Sunnyvale farmers market for weeks and only last week did I try to spicy toofu. omg. Ii bought one container and finished it in less than 2 hours. i could not stop eating it. I was so sad when I finished, and found myself craving it all week. you must try this tofu– even those who aren’t fans of tofu-this stuff is so addicting and delicious!

This is one of the best fresh tofu I have ever had! All the marinated tofus are excellent and I love the fresh block. The green tea soymilk is super good too! The guy selling the tofu at the Sunnyvale Farmer’s Market was really friendly and gave me a sample of everything! I only wish they were at the market every week because I didn’t see them last time.

This review is long overdue. I love love love the green tea soy milk from Toofu. Teriyaki tofu is pretty good also. The only thing that I dislike is that I cannot get it anytime I crave it. I have to wait until the weekends. LOL

I need more Toofu in my life! I stumbled upon Toofu at the Campbell’s Farmer’s Market when I was visiting my cousin. I bought the toofu poppers to put in my salad, which my husband and I annihilated that evening. The same thing happened when I bought the terriyaki toofu when I put it into our noodles. You can never have enough toofu. It disappears quickly. My only wish is that toofu would be closer to my home in San Francisco. Are there any markets that carry toofu here?

You MUST try the green tea matcha soy milk. It is $ 4 for a small bottle, but it is really really amazing and really worth it. REALLY. AMAZING. It tastes super fresh and is sweetened only with honey. I’ve also tried the poppers, which are balls of tofu mixed with herbs. They were *okay* and a bit dry, to be honest. The owner is also extremely friendly! I can’t wait until Toofu gets its own storefront!

I tasted Toofu’s tofu at the Mountain View farmer’s market and it was delicious! The people working there were also very nice.

Was pleased to find organic and non-GMO tofo since almost all SOY is GMO these days. But I’d buy it just for it’s taste and great texture. We ended up buying a block which was great as a Tofu scramble, and we got the teryaki tofu, and the poppers and the green tea milk(i tried some in my coffee and really liked it but it is also really good by itself). We were hooked but then went back to the Sunnyvale Farmer’s market today and they were gone! Horror! What will we do this week?! He told me he was there every week but I won’t dock a star. However, is there a website saying where you’ll be each week. I need my tofu! (would love it if you made a chorizo style tofu as we buy that from Trader Joe’s to add to our scrambles and use it for black bean burritos/taco salads)

I love me some tofu but found little flavor and disappointment when eating Toofu’s teriyaki and meat balls. I frequently visit the farmer’s market and have given Toofu many tries over the past year. I find most of the flavors, in the many variety of dishes, arrive from the sauce only. I prefer flavor to come from the tofu not from the coating of thick or water sauces. The meatballs had a bit more flavor but they were on the dry side. They seemed to crumble and became very messy to eat. I really wanted to love Toofu however I can only give them two stars at this time.

the buzz abou toofu is that their mobile truck can make tofu and tofu products every hour. i didn’t see such truck. only tasted some of their products products: various tofu products. locale: mountain view farmers market samplings: –honey soy bean milk(16 oz/$ 3) –creamy, sweet, a little watery, not chalky, refreshing. –uses unrefined sweeteners. –ingredients and price not listed. –tofu marinated product also tasted sweet. –curious, not a fan until i find out what’s in the product. also prefer unsweetened.

It’s delicious tofu, but I can’t say much for their customer service(even though the people at the truck were always nice to us). Here’s the thing: I really missed them when they vanished from our farmers’ market. Eventually, I found their website, but their blog hasn’t been updated since 2007. Looks ominous, right? I e-mailed them to ask them if they were still in business and where I could find them, but they didn’t bother replying. You’d think a small business like this one would have gone to the effort of answering – I could have let plenty of other people from the Tri-City area know where to find them. Anyway, if you’ve never tried fresh tofu, I suggest trying either Toofu or San Jose Tofu Company for a real revelation.

I just tried their soybean drink with green tea. It is sooo silky and delicious. It doesn’t even seem like you are drinking something healthy. It is little pricey at $ 4.50 per container, but if you ever at the Campbell Farmers Markets Sunday mornings, get a little taste of this drink. if you like green tea ice cream, this is similar in taste.

Toofu sells its products at Silicon Valley farmers’ markets. I’ve eaten much on the menu. Mmm, estrogen! Green tea soy milk: smooth with just enough sweetness from honey. Hits the thirsty spot. Honey almond granola: has dried tofu bits and is non-clumpy. I like that it’s not sugary, yet avoids the rocks-and-hay taste of other mild granolas. Plain tofu block: keeps for five days. Pleasant texture. Poppers(«meat» balls): made with chopped tofu, mushrooms, onions, walnuts, and herbs. You can taste each ingredient per bite. The poppers aren’t salted and a tad dry, but are meant for dipping in or cooking with sauces. Teriyaki tofu: my personal favorite. It comes in bite-sized cubes, and the light marinade tastes sort of like the one for Korean BBQ. Try it cold with hot brown rice for a satisfying, fast meal. Prices are $ 2.50-$ 5.00. I love that this food stand keeps the goods unique, small, and very quality controlled. The guy who I always see working here is ultra-nice, too.

Outstanding fresh Tofu. Lasts three to four days at the most. You can’t go back to packaged stuff after trying their products. The brick of tofu melts in your mouth. The soy milk is outstanding. Other products last a bit longer in your fridge. The flavored tofu is good and the meatballs are good. The two products that keep me going back are the plain tofu and soy milk. What can I say, I like to flavor my own food and have tried making my own but can’t beat what Toofu can do. I go out of my way to get some each week at the farmer’s market.

Toofu is literally, a tofu maker on wheels. With no set location, their mobile truck travels to several Farmers Markets throughout the peninsula and the East Bay(Fremont) over the weekend. They pride themselves upon a simple menu of organic food that works. It consists of soy made goods, like a variety of tofu made on-site, including a meatless meatball, smoothies(try the matcha), and granola. It’s fresh, high quality food for cheap. To top it off, the lady manning the booth is a doll. It’s unfortunate that they’re unable to work the Ferry Building Farmers Market in SF due to an already long vendor list, because I’m sure they’d make a killing. I’m tempted to track them down again one of these weekends just to try more of their goods.
