My Second Home Daycare

I am so grateful for Blanca and Chelo. My son went here for almost 2 years. I wish he was still going there, I never wanted to leave Blanca’s, she treats the kids as if they were her own. He would tell me I love Blanca all the time. She is so genuinely concerned about the kids too and teaches them in a way that they don’t even realize they’re learning so much. Now my son is going to a Pre-​K and he knows much more than the other kids. He learned to write his name and all the letters and even math. Even after being there for only a couple weeks he would spell out the signs we’d pass on the road or that he would see in the books at home. But more than just the learning, it’s how much love Blanca showed all the kids. I trust her completely, it felt like family there. Thank you Blanca.

It has been a couple years since my little boy has been with Blanca, but I can never in my life thank her for all she did for our family.
Blanca truly and honestly loves those little ones as if they were her own and it shows by the care she provides. She cooks healthy full blown meals every day, her house is spotless (nothing like you’d think a house with a bunch of little kiddos running around would look like), and she teaches them so many things! My little boy left Blanca to go over to the Pre-​k at St. Justin’s and more then once I had the teachers stop me to ask about his preschool because he already knew so much of what was being taught.
We recently moved down the street and drive past her house every day, and every day Adam announces that he wants to stop by and see Ms. Blanca. One day we will, it just hasn’t happened quite yet.
It’s so hard to leave your baby with just anyone, but Blanca is by far the best choice :)

Over a year later and it still holds true, this place has been nothing but awesome for my son. My wife and I are very happy with our son’s progress and the overall care that My Second Home provides. With another child on the way, we are looking forward to the day she gets to join her brother here. Blanca and Chelo, thank you both for loving my son.

my son has been going to My Second Home Daycare since he was 1.5 years old. he is now 3 and can read letters, numbers and loves all his friends at daycare. Blanca is so great with all the kids and loves them each unconditionally. Her house is always spotless. I am truly grateful to have someone like her who I can completely trust look after my son while I am at work. It definitely gives my family a peace of mind knowing my son is in great care while I am away. I would definitely recommend this daycare to anyone else who is looking for a daycare in Santa Clara area!

Our son has been a part of the My Second Home family for the last four months. I say family, because that’s what it’s like for him. He adores Blanca and her helper and is always happy when he sees them! You can just tell they genuinely love him & that is so comforting.
We worried about putting him into full time daycare, as he had been home with one of us for his first year. It was the most seamless transition we could have hoped for and I think that’s due to the way that Blanca treats him just like another one of her babies.
We always get a detailed account of his day (food, mood, nap time, diapers, etc) and he does projects everyday as well. We especially love the stuff that comes home on special occasions (Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, etc). She’s encouraged him so much with his walking, that he’s gone from army crawling everywhere to practically running across the room! We feel really lucky that we found them when we did!

This place is absolutely the best place your child could be…(Next to home). My daughter has been there for a year now and everyday, I am amazed at how much she learns. She does projects on a daily basis and brings what she learns home for us to see.
Blanca treats my daughter like her own. It’s a wonderful loving environment. I can’t say enough about the things she has learned. She surpasses other children her age (and older) with her vocabulary, recognition, shapes, numbers, colors, counting and talking not only in English, but also in Spanish. A loving, learning environment.

Blanca is the best! My 22 month old daughter has been going to My Second Home for about 8 months, and we are so so happy with Blanca and the care she provides. She has a great set up at her home, the minute we walked in we got a really good feeling.
Blanca is very patient and loving. she so good with kids! Every day my daughter brings home these great projects (arts & crafts, pictures she colored, ect) AND singing her ABC’s and different songs. It really shows that Blanca used to be a teacher, my daughter is learning so much! I love knowing that she is not just being sat in front of a TV like I’ve seen at other daycares.
She also gives us a daily report of what my daughter eats every day, what kind of mood she was in, how long she napped for, etc. which we love. Her rates are very reasonable, I would highly recommend her to anyone!
