Not a usual location for a Chinese Restaurant, but surprisingly, the food is pretty good and very reasonably priced. Especially the dinner special that come with soup and choices of 3 dishes out of at least 25+. Will go back again.

For lunch: Fast — cheap — good food. Always a great standby for a work lunch. Don’t expect too much drop the servers, but they do their job. Tip: Good sign is that most of the people who come here are chineese. Tip: ask for hot here and it really is HOT!

The restaurant does not have fancy décor, but has friendly staff, and cooks who take great care both as to how the food appears and tastes. Dishes are reasonably priced. Restaurant décor is Chinese modern. I thought the restaurant, contrary to some other reviews, was very clean. Customers who were there appeared to be single business travelers. Started with ½ bowl of Wor Won Ton soup, which came out piping hot, with a generous portion of won tons, vegetables(crinkle cut) and mushrooms. Won tons were plump, in a thin skin, and were well flavored. Broth had hint of ginger and soy sauce. Vegetables were carrots and zucchini and were very crisp. Chinese chicken salad was old fashioned Chinese with thinly sliced, light battered chicken slices(still warm), rice noodles, green onions, sliced head lettuce, chopped peanuts, in a mustard dressing. I tried to order tangerine beef(waitress did not appear to understand the order) and instead received beef with bok choy and sliced bamboo. Beef was thinly sliced, tender, and well-flavored with a dash of oyster sauce. Bamboo was not sweet(good), and included whole quarters of bok choy in a light brown sauce. You could hear(and smell) the dishes being cooked. Service was prompt. Restaurant is in a business district near the San Jose Airport, and this may explain why there were not a lot of people. The food, however, should be tried. This is one of the higher quality Chinese restaurants in the Bay Area. Not to reopen the Americanized/Chinese debate, the signs were in both English and Chinese, and the food, as far as I am concerned, is traditional Shanghai, Hong Kong, Mandarin, with a few Cantonese dishes.

Actually, I give 2.5 stars. The taste is not bud however, it’s typical American Chinese taste. No customer except us while we visiting.

Don’t order from here. The hot and sour soup and the crispy fried beef were inedible. We threw them out to avoid getting sick. The Singapore noodles were ok but loaded with garlic. Cost $ 40. There are few choices at 9 pm on a Saturday nite in the area but I’d rather eat chips from the vending machine!

large portions, delciious food. Some dishes i typically dislike were very tasty at this establishment. The meats are very well seasoned, but the noodles/rice need some MSG or SOMETHING. Also, be ready for some weirdo patrons.

Good place to eat some Chinese food. Friendly servers. I almost skipped this place based on Unilocal review.

Finding a legit Chinese restaurant in this neck of the woods is almost unheard of. Then you reach this spot. If you can find it. Service: The waitress was very friendly and nice. She spoke Chinese and English very well. Pleasant surprise for my English only colleagues. Food: We all ordered something different and everyone killed their lunch entrees. I had the Peking Spareribs and it was pretty darn good. Since it was off of the all day everyday lunch menu it came with hot and sour soup, wonton crisps, and fried rice. I must admit the fried rice was fried extra hard. Drinks: They serve you traditional tea and other fountain drinks. Overall: It’s obviously not the BEST Chinese food I’ve ever had, but it’s not a bad place to have Chinese food. The place is a tad ran down, but its not horrible. If you want some legit Chinese food in Santa Clara, this isn’t a bad choice. The chefs here are Chinese and you can hear them talk in the back. They even play Chinese films/movies on their 80’s tube television. No you can’t watch the movies while you eat… it’s there for their enjoyment and it sits next to the entrance pointing away from the dining hall.

Good lunch spot located in Santa Clara. It’s nice to get some quick, traditional chinese food so close to work without heading over to El Camino. You can go american style with the usual«panda» dishes, or family style. You can make any chow mein hong kong style for $ 1, my personal favorite. Clay pot dishes here are also quite good.

Good decent clean place, decent food, but the service is not so great. They were barely 1⁄3rd occupied and called them self super-busy. Took close to 50 mins to prepare lunch. And no one is around even then for water refills. :-|

This place is ok for Chinese food, definitely not my top choice, but pretty good for a quick lunch. Best for lunch as there prices are good for the amount of food you get.

I found a fruit fly in my soup. That kind of stuff doesn’t freak me out, but I’m sure plenty of others would be freaked out. I just set the little bugger aside and carried on. Chinese fried rice seemed like it was cooked quite a few times, so the consistency was that of a cous cous. I didn’t mind the egg flower soup, crab wontons, sweet and sour pork or the almond chicken. I would say the waitress was very pleasant. Decent service, all right food, found a fruit fly in my soup… you be the judge. lol All in all, I think I’d actually go back … due to location and because I hate waiting in line!

I’m normally not the kind of person to leave negative reviews on food, as it’s a business and people need to survive. However, not telling you about this place would be a mistake. My fiancé and I just moved to Santa Clara, so we were on the hunt for a new Chinese restaurant. We decided to go with this place, even though they weren’t rated that great. First of all, the price of $ 50+ tip for Delivery was insane. But swallowed it any way hoping it was going to be good. The Hot and Sour soup was so awful I almost threw up. We ordered Lemon chicken, the chicken was so DRY and almost stringy like? It didn’t seem like real chicken. Kung pao Chicken, it was ” Okay ”. The flavor was so bland, it was like they splashed water all over the food. Chow mein tasted like just plain noodles with a nasty salt after taste. Pot stickers were so smelly we didn’t even eat them. The only thing that was normal was the white rice. Do your self a favor and don’t eat here.

The restaurant is in a strange location since it’s in a business complex off of Trimble and De La Cruz Blvd. It’s been several years since I’ve been at this place. I went here for dinner yesterday and the food was good. We had two orders of lobster yi mein which was for $ 14 each order. We also had beef and broccoli, fish with bok choy, deep fried fish, seafood tofu bowl, sweet and sour pork, lotus root with vegetables, free range chicken, and hot soup. We had two orders of the 3 dishes for $ 18. It was a lot of food. No dessert given, but everyone received a fortune cookie.

This was considered my favorite Chinese restaurant ever. I ate at this restaurant since I was a child. But, 12 years later, the restaurant got taken over by new management and the new owners had completely different recipes for their food. I loved their shrimp fried rice, chow mein, salt and pepper fish, wonton soup, sweet and sour pork, and beef broccoli. If the old management of this restaurant went back to what it used to be 12 years ago, then I would give this place a 5⁄5. But the new people took over and ruined it. Now it’s just a place to get cheap takeout.

Delivery. The nicest lady takes your order, the food arrives ~30 minutes later. Ordered: — Hot & Sour Soup $ 8 — Mongolian Beef $ 11 — Seafood Chow Mein $ 9 Price paid: $ 35, no itemized receipt upon delivery. Was overcharged somewhere. Food: Hot & Sour Soup — It’s Inedible, my girlfriend nearly gagged just after tasting. The rest was so horribly BLAND. Nothing Royal about this place.

I dislike the bait and switch that this restaurant uses by having a website that claims a $ 10 minimum delivery order with no fee that they jack up to $ 25 – 30. I also dislike the fact that they claim that what they advertise doesn’t matter since I’m pretty sure they are breaking California laws related to false advertising. If you care to, definitely complain to the state’s attorney general’s office. It’s pretty simple. I dislike dishonesty in business, even if it is small. They either need to change the website or honor what they advertise. Very unscrupulous.

Projectile vomiting in the washroom after I had the food. It didn’t taste that bad, may be it was just the smell. Advise? Uh. may be don’t order anything seafood even if it’s one of your favorites. I ordered seafood chow mien and was even starving when I came here but my stomach just rejected the food. 1 extra star and $ 2 tip was for the good service I had.

Went here for lunch with some co-workers. Kind of a weird place to have a chinese restaurant as it is right around a bunch of businesses. There is almost no way of knowing this restaurant exists unless someone told you about it. Standard chinese restaurant style with big family rounds and lazy susans. There were a bunch of lunch specials and the prices aren’t too bad. A lot of food for about 8 bucks. They also have group lunch specials for like 8−9−10 dollars a person. You get about 5 – 6 dishes to share family style. Ours came with hot and sour soup — meh, it was okay bbq pork — kind of fatty and some pieces were overcooked as well chicken chow mein — noodles were soggy and nothing to write home about Fried rice — a little too wet/soggy. sweet and sour pork — pork was also fatty kung pao chicken — meh Was just meh all around. It gets the job done and makes you full but wasn’t impressed in any way and there is better chinese food to be had. I didn’t feel sick afterwards so that is a plus too! Service was a bit slow that day because I think they forgot about us. Took like 15 minutes just to order and our table was right next to the door to the kitchen.

I had to-go, and they were decent for the price $ 18 for 3 dishes, and we got 1 more dish for $ 7.5 only — salt & pepper fish — good size and crispy — Peking ribs — this was the best dish with nice flavor — beef stew claypot — this was ok — duck with taro — this was ok, not much duck
