I found this place by searching«vegetarian Chinese restaurant» in my area — unfortunately it was a total fail. I can’t speak for the meat dishes there but the tofu and veggie dishes I had were covered in mystery sauce and tasted like freezer burn. It’s strip mall Chinese food. nothing near authentic. Staff was nice, but the food was bad enough that I definitely won’t be going back.

The lunch price is awesome for $ 7.99! The food is just what you would expect for an asian style buffet. The service is great as our drinks were constantly filled and the dishes were cleared right away. Now, the bad part, the reason as to the 1 star review. So, last week my dad and I went for lunch. We were all finished with our meal but before we left I had to use the restroom. As I was sitting there, I saw a bug started crawling up the wall from where the toilet paper dispenser was. I thought it was those small beetles that we tend to get here in SCV but NO, it was a german roach and thus a big one at that. It crawled up the wall right next to me. I don’t think i had ever tinkled as fast as I did that day. I don’t know what their rating is and I did not tell anyone, but Im pretty certain we will be avoiding this place. Oh and yes the reviews mentioning about the owners little kids jumping around disturbing patrons is true. Lol

Absolutely disgusting food SAVEYOURTIMEANDMONEY!!! I am the furthest from being a picky-eater… nor have i ever left a review about any business up until now. Sushi was gross everything tasted like it was the left overs from the day before and had been sitting out for hours under a heat lamp and that’s a understatement. Thought id try the other selection of food thinking maybe it was just the sushi but sure enough, it got worse. Everything tasted the same(deep fried, overcooked, greasy) you cant even defer whats on your plate. Fed up i grabbed a plate of sliced watermelon just about the only thing i felt safe eating and asked for the check. waiter did not ask how everything was so I start telling her how disgusting the food was and she walks away. Youv been warned these guys should be out of business and have any food licenses revoked. end of story …and who the hell serves coconut chicken?

The hot and sour soup was the best I’ve had in 30 years! However the five year old walking around both in the front of the house and behind the counter, acting as a host was totally irritating. This is a business, not a daycare! The rest of the food was ok. The servers work their tails off

This is a buffet. Not everything is going to be perfectly suited to a person’s tastes. That being said, I came here expecting not to like very much at all. My mom constantly raves about the salt and pepper shrimp, the green beans, and steamed rice. It’s her«thing». I started on the upper floor, looking down the aisle of sweets-they start off with fresh fruit, jello and puddings, little cakes, and sweet fried wontons. Next, I browsed the hot food bar, which included various soups, many asian inspired stir fried dishes, salmon and another kind of fish I obviously cant recall, Shumai, my mom’s shrimp, meat on sticks, Gyoza, great crisp broccoli in their rendition of beef and broccoli, and more. As you make your way down the three steps or so to the sushi/hibachi sections, your lips start top tread opposite directions and your teeth get ready top pounce. The sushi included, but was not limited to: California rolls, spicy tuna rolls, tempura rolls, inari, Philadelphia rolls, salmon sashimi, tuna sashimi, sweet shrimp sashimi, etc. Next to the sushi is the salad bar. They have a great green leaf lettuce mix, as well as cucumbers with red onions and tomatoes. Finally, the ice cream. They’ve got scoop yourself green tea, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, and rainbow«sugar». LOL If you noticed me skip over the Hibachi grill section, it was because it was nothing special or worth having made. All in all, I enjoyed the fresh sushi, crisp and nicely sauteed veggies, gyoza, spicy egg soup, and their hot green tea. They have yummy as you exit, as well; as if you aren’t full enough! Beware: there is a pretty middle-aged woman who will stare as you and your mom take three candies a piece. #nomsohard #comefindme

Everything about this place was disgusting. The sushi seemed like it’d been sitting out for days, the rolls had contents inside that were indistinguishable, and the«real» food they had like the pizza, chicken and jello all tasted like feet. Would not recommend anyone even trying this place.

We’ve been coming here fairly frequently for about the last year, but I’m afraid we won’t be going back. It used to be great; then came the changeover and we suffered through the nasty crab phase, but we persevered. The last 2 months, the food has improved quite a bit and we were thrilled to finally have our ‘go to’ crab and salmon spot back… until yesterday. Yesterday, we crushed a baby cockroach that was roaming across our table. Now. I realize that a customer could have brought it in, or it could be chance thing, but when you choose to each raw fish in a restaurant that sports an A rating, but you already know that just a few months go it was a «B»… that’s just too much risk for me.

Overall, this is an average place to eat. I know it is a buffet, but the service is actually what saves this place from a 1 star rating. My water is always filled, and my finished plates are always cleared from the table by the time I get back with my next round. And last night when I asked for the check, the lady actually ran(a sort of hybrid speed walk/jog) all the way across the restaurant to ring it up and bring to me. If nothing else, the staff here tries hard to make/keep their customers happy. 4.5 stars for service. Now considering that I gave them 2 stars overall, I’ll let you do the math to figure out what I rate their food. I ate a lot, but was starving when I came in. I am not completely boycotting this place, since their service is great and food is technically edible, but I can’t give it a glowing recommendation either. It is just a restaurant that is there for you to try if you want… or not.

Came here just after they re-opened. We were not impressed. The sushi was just OK, rice was dry and chewy on a couple items. There was plenty of hot dishes, but most were bland and flavorless, plus they had pizza and fries. What Asian buffet serves pizza and fries? The décor was very stark and bright, in fact too bright. We won’t be coming back.

This was actually my second visit here. The last time I went there, the service was great, but the food was just around ‘meh’ levels. I thought I might have come in on a bad night on my first trip, so I decided to give them another shot before writing them out of my life forever. It was a Friday night, and after some driving around, I decided to give this place a second shot. I walked in the door, and was instantly greeted and quickly directed to a table. Nice lady asked what I’d like to drink, she gestured to the buffet, and then rushed off to get my drink.(FYI: Drink is NOT included in the $ 14.99 dinner price. I discovered this only when the bill was brought at the end.) I picked up a plate, and began to explore down the line of food. I took a bit of a few things, and brought them back to enjoy at my table. The first plate contained some Chicken on a stick, some Orange Chicken, some lo main, and some sushi. The best of the bunch was the chicken on a stick; and it was just barely an ‘OK’. The sushi seemed to contain very similar ingredients, but they were dressed up differently. One of the ingredients in one of the sushi bits I tried had a bacon-like texture to it, and it was kinda chewy… not so good. The iced tea wasn’t the best either. I went up for round two and grabbed another assorted assortment of items. I picked up some dumplings, some seafood scampi, and some odd ball-shaped things on a stick. When I asked the guy behind the buffet re-loading something, the round ball-shaped things were ‘chicken’. I also took some round frilly dumpling looking things from a steamer-basket thingy. I finished the round out with some egg rolls. I’m pretty sure the seafood scampi was the seafood salad you get from the grocery store, except for the appearance of an odd burnt fin-shaped bit. I stopped eating it after I discovered that bit. The egg rolls were pretty dry, the dumplings were just okay. Round three, and I was feeling pretty full. After grabbing a few assorted sushi pieces, I figured I’d give their ‘American’ food a shot and see how that was. Boy, was I wrong with that idea. The pizza was a microwave pizza that seemed like it had been left out for quite a while under their hot warming lights. The cheese slid right off, and the crust was rough and chewy. The sushi had nearly identical ingredients in each differently dressed piece and was quite sub-par. I was pretty full, but also quite unsatisfied. I got the check, and noticed the ‘surprise’ drink fee that had been included in the total. Had I known, I’d have just ordered a water. Despite the fact that the staff is really friendly, the food definitely took a serious dip since their last form as ‘Kyoto Buffet”. They used to be a solid ‘OK” now they’ve dropped some distance to barely a ‘Meh.” I really don’t think I’ll be coming back until they change form again.
Sorry guys, I wish you the best of luck.

Called on Sunday, Sept. 1 to see what the buffet price would be for Monday, Labor Day. The man told me that the price would be $ 9.99 from 11 – 3:30PM for the lunch price, then $ 14.99 for dinner. I verified with him that it was for«Labor Day, Monday, tomorrow, correct?» «Yes, $ 9.99 tomorrow for lunch 11 – 3:30PM». My fiancé called 3 times later to verify the price, times, and location. Each time we were told $ 9.99. Went in today with a total of six people, two of which were physically handicapped. We even drove from Castaic just to eat here. As we entered, we saw a hand-written sign that said«Open Labor Day… All Day Dinner». We asked the hostess what the price would be, and she stated that for all day, the price is $ 14.99. Told her what we were told over the phone. She asked who we spoke to, and because we didn’t have his name, we told her«a gentleman over the phone». She seemed to know exactly who we were talking about as she had rolled her eyes and sighed. She then went on to state that he was wrong and didn’t know. According to what she told my mom, the sign was up on the door for 2 days. She then told my dad that it was up for 3 days, and further into the short conversation, 4 days. Clearly, the hostess was lying and couldn’t keep her story straight. We asked if we would be able to get it for the $ 9.99 price since we were quoted that price several times. Possibly another lie, but she did say that she couldn’t do that. Dad asked for the owner’s name, and he will be calling to complain later. If anything comes of it, I will update this rating accordingly. We will never go back to a restaurant that thrives on the«Bait and Switch» philosophy. This type of poor business is illegal. Never ate there, so can’t say how the food was. We aren’t too concerned about the price, but the fact that they lied to us, several times from two different employees, makes us not want to put any of our hard-earned money towards their business. Fortunately, we all still had a great meal… at Red Lobster.

Da wife and I went for lunch the other day for the first time. Was just okay. Not too impressed. Maybe the dinner buffet is better. There was hardly any patrons.
