AE totally AWESOME auto shop you can TRUST. Love it and you guys the best of the west.

These guys are the absolute best. Reasonable pricing and they have never tried to bs me. I’ve taken my work truck there for maintenance 4 or 5 times and they always do a great job and get me back out on the road again working the same day.

Like a bonehead, I neglected to check my oil for much longer than you should be able to get away with. I was in Santa Cruz for the weekend when the motor gave out. The guys at AE made my options pretty clear for me and since I didn’t want/couldn’t buy a whole new car I asked them to replace the motor along with some other work that the my Subaru needed around that mileage (clutch, cylinder heads, timing belt). Considering the amount of work, they got everything done quickly, efficiently, and at a VERY reasonable price. By the way, they installed a NEW motor from the Subaru factory not a salvaged motor from the junk yard. They even gave me a heads up on things to look for in the future (clutch hose). 4,000 miles and a trip to Tahoe later everything is running like new and no leaks or any «bugs» to speak of. I would bring my car here for regular service if I lived closer.

A.E. is awesome! I own a local shop and Jeremy and team are supposed to be our comp. but they have help us out many times. If i have customer inquire about makes we do not work on i send them to A.E. and I always make it clear that I would trust any of my family’s vehicles in their hands.

I recommend this auto shop to everyone I know! Jeremy and his team are top notch when it comes to customer service, vehicle knowledge, honesty and price! I’ve been taking my vehicles to AE Motorsports for 4 years now and have never been disappointed with their work. I really like that they service a wide range of vehicles, I’ve taken my cars and trucks there — they even did some work on my 1954 classic truck! I’ve shopped around to other local shops and AE Motorsports continually beats out the other shops in quality of customer service and price. They have a nice waiting area with water and coffee. If you go there, say hi to Tucker, he’s the coolest shop dog who hangs out in the office!

Love these guys. I am not the best with the motor side of the car, but they are able to help me understand my car and get things done in a timely manner. Thanks for keeping me on the track guys.

Excellent customer service and knowledge on Volvos. They took care of my V70 and did an auto to manual swap and it transformed my car into a whole different beast. All this it only took them a few days, while other shops were quoting me weeks. Jeremy and Noah know their stuff. Don’t hesitate to take your car to them. Even if you are not local, they are worth the drive. Keep up the good work fellas.

This is without a doubt the place we’ll be going to when our car needs work for the next 10+ years. Jeremy, Noah, Ryan and the rest of the crew that work on the cars here constantly surprise us with their directness (to the point), kindness and honesty. I can’t begin to tell you how refreshing it is to find a honest (and locally owned) shop with great customer service and skill to match. Top notch service on both our cars, they know what they’re doing and are quick with their turn around. We couldn’t be happier to have found this gem of an auto shop!

Jeremy and Noah are absolutely the best. They explain everything very clearly — even their service records have everything they did to the car printed on them, along with all of their recommendations. They are honest and trustworthy, and they will do everything they can to squeeze you in, and their work is very thorough. They have done so much work on my crappy 2002 Volvo, and last time I was in there I told Jeremy I was thinking about buying a new car, and he gave me recommendations on the models I was looking at. They are always helpful — I would never take my car anywhere else.

I no longer live near my beloved mechanic of nearly 20 years, though I continued using him anyway because I couldn’t fathom switching even though it was pretty inconvenient. Finding a trusted mechanic is like finding a great physician. It’s just not easy to do, and when you find one that checks all the boxes, you hang on tightly.
I inherited a car that had been sitting for a couple of years, and had an issue not easily addressed by my mechanic. When I asked for a recommendation, he gave me Jeremy’s contact info. Once again my mechanic steered me well: Jeremy is awesome!
He gave me a ballpark phone quote, and spent time explaining things to me. I approved the estimate. When I went to pick up the car, the bill actually was one third what I anticipated! Turned out something simpler was the culprit.
This glowing review is not just because Jeremy was reasonable and honest in the fix, but also because he cheerfully, and patiently, spent time educating me. Further, he offered to run diagnostics before I take it to smog next week for no charge, to make sure the car has cycled through all its self-​tests. If not, after sitting so long, that could affect smog passage.
Highest recommendation. Really.

It’s a major plus to have a mechanic that you can TRUST. I base my trust with AE Motorsports after years of experience with these guys. I’ve used Jeremy & Ryan since it was just the two of them… I even followed Jeremy from his previous shop.
My 2000 V70 Volvo wagon is in great shape because they always keep it running smoothly. They communicate well in regards to what the possibilities are and then what the findings are. They always let me know when a repair is «in the wings» and will be in my future without adding it on just because they can. They use years of experience to know which are the most reliable parts and vendors to use on my car.
I have told many friends to go to AE Motorsports and all have been happy. Keep up the good work guys, it’s nice to see you growing!

Great customer service. Quality work. I prefer spending my hard in money with some who knows what they are doing. If you own a Volvo, there is no other place you should be going to for service.

Yes, I know 5-​stars is always hard to believe. We have 4 Volvos, the newest one being almost 10 years old. We’ve been taking our cars to him since he opened shop. Great service for large and small jobs — and at a significant discount from both the dealer and other independents. Our daughter stops in for advice with her 98 S70, and Jeremy always takes the time to help her.

We first took our 95 Toyota Corolla with over 200,000 miles on it to AE Motorsports because of a friend’s recommendation and we couldn’t be happier! They are so friendly and accommodating and always give us fair estimates and make sure to communicate exactly what they would like to do and what to prioritize regarding the work our vehicle needs. They are good at what they do, and they are fast, patient, respectful, honest, and wonderful to work with!
The first time we got our car looked at was because it was making weird noises, and they found the problem right away, gave us a full estimate before they got started, and were prompt about fixing it. We paid exactly what they estimated and were very happy with the results; the car definitely ran smoother afterwards and we felt much safer being on the road in our clunky old car.
The second time we took our car to them (again, an almost 20-​year-​old vehicle with tons of miles) was because it failed a smog test. They found the problem right away and called me with some options and potential charges beyond the initial estimate if things were in worse shape than they thought. No surprises with these guys, they are very honest! It passed smog after the first round of repairs and when we called the guys at AE to let them know they were genuinely glad for us.
These are mechanics you can trust 100%! We love the team at AE Motorsports!

I have been taking my 2001 VW Jetta to AE Motorsports for the last year or so, and they continue to impress me every time. Jeremy is courteous and straight forward about work to be done and always communicates before moving forward on repairs. I appreciate that he explains what is going on with my car in a way that I can understand, and isn’t condescending about it, as some auto mechanics can be when dealing with the ladies.
