I cannot emphasize how unhelpful Dr. Kaufmann has been with my treatment. I have been suffering a chronic illness for two years, and he was the first physician to whom I was referred. For insurance purposes I’ve had to see him continuously. Not only is he in a huge hurry every time we’ve met, but he is not proactive in finding a cause nor does he give me any treatment. I have recently been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and despite my continuous explanation that I grew sicker whenever I ran he urged me to continue running. That only exacerbated my symptoms and has prolonged my illness. I have since been seen at the Mayo Clinic, where I was not only diagnosed with CFS, but a slew of other chronic issues which have been found through blood tests, etc. When the initial tests Dr. Kaufmann order came back negative, he never ordered more. I have had to instigate every test with him, and more often than not he has simply repeated the same ones (to no avail). His prognosis for me? «You’re a mystery.» Well, «mystery» solved. I HIGHLY recommend you find another doctor.
