Big Star Books is an adorable little used bookstore. From the outside, it looks like a storybook house, small and white and trimmed with blue, with a triangular roof and a cart of books on its front porch. It’s just as cozy as it looks inside, and filled from wall to wall with used books. I spent a good amount of time browsing the fiction section, which was well organized by author. The books varied in condition, with a decent number of pristine copies as well as some that looked like they came well loved from libraries twenty years ago. If you’re picky about the condition of your books(I am — I don’t mind too horribly when my books get a little worn, but I like to do the wearing), then you have to search with very slight diligence to find books to buy here. If you don’t mind that your used books look used, then Big Star has a pretty great selection of titles. I left with one book, a more or less pristine copy of In Other Rooms, Other Wonders by Daniyal Mueenuddin. The fiction section only comprised about 20−30% of the merchandise at Big Star Books. There were books in every category, as well as a fair amount of used music for sale. I’ll bet you can spend a lot of time browsing this bookstore if you want to be thorough. The cashier was pleasant, and I walked out with my book, which cost just over $ 7.50 with tax. Not bad. If you’re into books at all, Big Star Books is well worth a visit.

The service is fantastic… every time I have been in here I usually always find what I need, and if I can’t find it they find it for me. They are very reasonably priced as well.

Reasonably good bookstore with nice long hours. The selection is a bit small, and nearly everything is also being sold on the internet and is priced accordingly, but you can still find a few unique books.
