Great food, the portion sizes are big enough to share. Local beer is available as well as non-alcoholic beverages. It’s the kind of place where you have to pay before you eat which gives it an unfortunate fast food like feel. Don’t let that detour you, this is a great stop before a movie, the theater is right around the corner. Or even before you head over to Lowe’s or Sprouts.

Oh man, this place is great! Best gyro I have ever eaten. Everything that we ordered was delicious. The prices are great, nice staff, nice interior.(Ate at the southside location and their stand at the International Folk Art Market) New to Santa Fe, so glad to discover this place. A staple for sure. The falafel was soooo good, too.

The food here is great to say the least. Fairly fast service even when they are busy, price is good especially for the down town area. I can’t get enough of this restaurant!

If I were British, I’d say that Cleopatra is rubbish. Like many Santa Fe restaurants, it’s impossible to find for visitors, but it’s in the Design Center. It’s small and grubby, which is usually good for the food experience, but you can get better food well.anywhere. Any bus station, any chain, any city anywhere on earth. My Egyptian Falafel was dry, but the bread it was served on obviously came straight from Safeway. Why do restaurants skimp on the bread? I’m MIddle Eastern, and the bread is 75% of the experience. I’d pay extra for decent bread, and I’m sure that most people would. My wife’s gyros were edible, but they were tiny, barely a bite, and accompanied by day old salad that also could have come straight from a supermarket. I won’t be back. I don’t know what else we could have eaten when we didn’t want more Mexican food, but nearly anything would have been bettter.

Really Good and really affordable food! I like their hot sauce, hummus, dolmas, and the Gyros are a must! Both locations are great. The food always comes out quickly, and the quality is consistent. Sometimes if you get lucky, you can stumble upon the belly dancers who are totally awesome! Go there next time you want some Mediterranean food!!!

If you’re at the state capital and looking for a reasonably priced lunch(or dinner), this will fit the bill. It’s a short walk to the west of the Roundhouse, just across Cerillos, in the«Design Center». I got Spanakopita and traditional Gyro with lamb. There were lots of fresh veggies and good flavors. Definitely worth a try if you want something different than New Mexican, which there is no shortage of in Santa Fe.

Ate lunch here. Had lentil soup, falafel sandwich. My husband had hummus. The soup was watery and tasted canned. The falafel was left in the basket after one bite. The hummus was okay, as was the lettuce and tomatoes used as garnish. Life is too short to eat ho hum food.

I love coming here. The food is delicious and the pricing is great. I’ve never had a problem with the staff or food. This place has awesome gyros. I’ve gotten countless people hooked on Cleopatra’s food. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

We sometimes eat in, but often take out their lamb gyros. Nicel seasoned with good portion size and quickly prepared. Nice people at the restaurant, and it is always a pleasure to visit.

I accidentally wrote a review for this place that was intended for the Middle Eastern spot on Cordova and I feel so bad. I am not a fan of that place, but I DO enjoy the food at this spot. The gyro is a ton of food and the meat is very well-seasoned. I’m not crazy about the pita bread here, but mostly only because it’s more filling and heavy than I like. The Lebanese falafel here is also very tasty, although I’d say nine times out of ten I’d prefer the lamb gyro. The prices are very fair, particularly for Santa Fe, and the food comes pretty quickly. The service is basic and not always friendly, but I feel for anyone who has to put up with Santa Feans regularly, so I excuse these folks.

Meh. Good ME food, for Santa Fe. Downtown location works for lunch.

Very disappointed. This place used to be good, but I think all the good cooks moved over to the newer Zafrano location. Not only was my order totally botched, I ordered 3 items, and I ended up getting a substitute for one of the dishes. And that substitute was a falafel in a pita bread. But the falafel was either overcooked, or leftovers from the day before. Sigh… I wish I lived in a town that had decent Mediterranean food.

First off, this place is located in the middle of a shopping district(next to the movie theater), which made me skeptical when we decided to drop in for dinner. The ambience lived up to my expectation. There wasn’t a ton of thought put into decoration but if food is your main concern(which it was at the time) that detail is easily forgotten. Next, we ordered from their menu which contained standard Middle Eastern items. While I had bad luck finding a Middle Eastern place that I truly liked since moving to the Southwest, this one clearly stood out as one of the better ones. It was not the best falafel I have ever had but it was well worth the visit. The food tasted fresh and had a mouthful of flavor. Not to mention, they load their plates up, so you can be sure to leave pleasantly full.

Cleopatra Café was surprisingly good. I say surprisingly since it is located in a mall complex and appears, from the outside, to be regular mall food(unappetizing, bland, overdone fare). However, everything appeared to be freshly made and was incredibly well presented. I ordered the King Tut plate, which included falafel, baba ganoush, hummus, pita and a Greek salad or tabbouleh(I chose the Greek salad). This was some of the best baba ganoush I’ve ever had in my entire life! The food came out quickly and wasn’t very expensive(by Santa Fe standards). The reason it isn’t 5 stars to me is the location and the servers seemed a bit apathetic. Other than that, great!

Cleopatra’s is a take out joint in a shopping center, so don’t come here expecting a restaurant, as we did, or you will be disappointed. And don’t expect any unique or cozy ambience either. That aside, the food is pretty good. It tasted fresh and had a good consistency — soup, hummus, falafel. However, the chicken was very well done and therefore tough. And everything was bland — no spices or seasonings! The upside is that nothing was greasy, as take-out middle eastern often is. And this place is not strictly Mediterranean; despite the Greek vestiges, it definitely has a middle eastern flare. If I lived locally, I might come here for take out. But if you are visiting Santa Fe, skip Cleopatra’s and opt for something more charming!

I’ve been going to this place for years! It’s my favorite gyro sandwich in the country. However last night I showed up at 750 and the girl at the counter said try were closed. She said we close at 8. I looked at the hours posted and it says they close at 9! I was so disappointed not to mention starving! Haven’t business owners learned that hiring people interested in customer service is important to a successful business. I hope the owner reads this. Seriously disappointed here.

I love Cleopatra Café. For the price, it can’t be beat. The food is yummy, fresh and satisfying and the servers always friendly and helpful. I have been eating at Cleopatra Café for many years. Great food to enjoy in person, pick up as carry out, or grab for a potluck event. If you want a cheap trip to the Fertile Crescent, visit Cleopatra Café. I recommend the belly dancing nights, as well.

I had the gyro and my chic had the variety plate. The food is average at best. Its the only greek place I know of in Santa Fe, so this is as good as it gets. The tzatziki sauce tastes more like tahini sauce. Its probably the worst tzatziki ive ever had. Its not the best or the worst Mediterranean Ive had. The falafals are decent and the hummus is decent too. Ill go back because this is the only place to go here. PLus its cheap!

Place is average. Hummus is good, had a gyro plate, which was average — could have used some more seasoning. Problem with this location is you never know when they are open. SIgns, menus and web say they are open Sundays, but they are not. Likewise, staff tends to close up early in evenings(as told to us by them). So it can be hit or miss if they are open. Good value for the price, but«average» on middle eastern food in my opinion.
